^can I be offended on behalf of religion for that? Also, find a new hobby EoF Of course you can. But when you get to THAT level, you're a lost cause condemning someone for different gender tastes, and going against the entire treat people nice theme the bible has going on. ...when did Charlie ever say he was religious? And I'm no expert, but the way I see it homosexuality was a sin because it doesn't create children. It didn't foster and perpetuate the growth of civilization back when the religion was being spread and adopted. Same goes for stealing (bad for economics), divorce (destabilizes the family unit), murder (destabilizes the population), gluttony (over-consumption of resources), lust (overpopulation), and the justification for slavery (benefits the growth of society) and the crusades (expansion of controlled civilization).

We basically have to open new jobs for even the smallest stuff because the population keeps growing. Ever walk down a street and seen a woman with five children?
Yes, FIVE CHILDREN!

Emperor, you obviously haven't read the entire Bible. Anyways, according to the Bible, homosexuality is a sin, but so are many other things such as lying, theft, and envy. Everyone is a sinner. Granted, that doesn't mean that homosexuality is economically feasible, as a lack of produced children means a smaller future workforce and less people to provide for the much larger senior group. Though, that problem could easily be solved. The same book that explicitely condemns homosexuality (Soddom and Gomorrah could be decrying rape or lust of non-humans, because angels aren't technically men) also condemns wearing mixed fabric and having tattoos, so if Dog the Bounty Hunter can be forgiven by Jesus then so can Liberace, as I understand it.

Lack of young people = worker shortage = higher taxes = more expensive schooling = dead economy

Pretty obvious he is once he said that. Civilization has grown to huge. It wasn't nearly as huge as it is today, I'm sure. Time to take a page out of "The Purge: Anarchy" One single day! I'm kidding, murdering people isn't our solution, abstinence is.

An aging population is economically good for anyone involved with the medical field. Not sure about the world in general though.

Lack of young people = worker shortage = higher taxes = more expensive schooling = dead economy That's why the young will work earlier. Gives them more responsibility. I fully admit our generation has grown lazy with technology.

Which was mostly Old-Testament law meant to safeguard the Israelites to make sure they fulfilled their task. My point was that everyone can be forgiven. No one sin is greater than another. A homosexual is no worse than anyone else.

Lack of young people = worker shortage = higher taxes = more expensive schooling = dead economy Consider that payback for burning budget on stupid tests only to lower the required passing score when half the student body fails it. Or maybe it's just my local system that's trash.

I fully admit our generation has grown lazy with technology. Except that more schooling is required, college is much more expensive (ten times than 20 years ago), employers are now always looking for college graduates, laws, and the fact that all the older people are still clogging the only job market accessible to younger people (low-education jobs). Less people also means less consumers.

Yeah, I don't really have any problem with that outlook. I just see it as another paradigm of traditionalism, which I recognise the structural value of.
I am for individual rights trumping the public good, though.
On the subject of Charlie, I'm very much taking the quote "Never attribute to malice what could instead be attributed to stupidity" to heart here. I'd rather let a troll get his laugh than bully a really thick headed guy who's not sure about his sexuality.

Eh, the public good is required to sustaining a healthy population and majority. A productive society is better than a non-productive one.

Less people also means less consumers. I didn't realize how fortunate it is to be dirt poor, but now I'm actually glad. I've analyzed our economy, and it is actually doing worse with more people. More space for homes and more food consumed an natural resources used. The economy of America is already broken. If you don't make it big and become "rich" you're basically struggling for the rest of your life unless you go back to college and enter something that will bring you up to their level. No such thing as hardworking when those born with the necessary tools to acheive richness can get it. Those without must struggle to even acheive richness, and this he a far better deal of experience than someone who has to mediumly worry about it.

However, not producing children will only make the problems worse. Plus, the economy isn't broken, only imbalanced. Stopping the production of children will cause the economy to shatter and become stagnant.

Stopping the production of children will cause the economy to shatter and become stagnant. More children= more money being given out. Not imbalanced, but broken. You have a low class, middle class, and high class, separating each other on social statuses. Deny that it isn't broken however you want, but when it caters to another class rather than all three, it is broken.
