5e operates on a different point-buy and character creation system. That site hasn't been updated since 2011 I was thinking it'd at least be handy for dice roll proof. But OK.

We're using Point-Buy to prevent cheating and uphold balance.

How would rolling for stats be cheating? Doesn't it just influence how you'll have to play your character?

It's so that way someone can't fudge their rolls, and it helps keep someone from getting a really bad roll for stats.
Point-Buy is more balanced and allows for better stat management. It's also faster and easier than 6(4d6b3) anyways.

Well, dice roll ability scores are considered standard, but almost everyone uses Point-Buy.

So now, our current party looks like Warlock, Bard, Cleric, and Paladin.
I don't know if Os is interested, but are there any classes that you're interested in, Doug?

Well, looks like we're lacking Rogue, though I'd initially been looking at Wizard. This is good, since I could've sworn somebody already wanted Rogue, and that's the only real reason I was looking at Wizard instead. I think I'll still want to be a Wood Elf, though I might be tempted to go Human now. Have to put more thought into race. Don't suggest Halfling unless you're cool with my character being bats*** crazy, because that's almost guaranteed. I like crazy midgets. They're awesome. Almost guaranteed to do this too.

So it looks like we've got our party.
Cheese - Back-up-back-up healer/Melee/Tank SMEX - Secondary Mage/Back-up healer/Face/Support HHD - Healer/Back-up tank/Support/AoE Doug - Stealth/Trap-finder/DPS Me - Primary Mage/Second Face
Just so you know, this will not be a Good campaign. This will not be an evil campaign either. Each character is in it for their own reasons. For some it may be greed, duty, desire, powerlust, loyalty, or goodwill. There are many other reasons too, such as for fun, in the case of a certain Halfling that I will refer to as Stabby. Your characters should each have two primary personality traits, one ideal, one bond, one flaw, one background, and an alignment. You can customize a background, as long as it's reasonable. One such could be a Merchant background, a variant of the Guild Artisan. Instead of gaining proficiency in a set of tools and those tools, you'd gain a bonus language and a mule with a cart, and instead of the Guild Membership feature, you gain a form of the Criminal's Criminal Contact feature or the Charlatan's False Identity Feature.

Should we make a topic for this?

Is this a continuation of your old one, Golurk?

I'm willing to reprise a role as the PsuedoDragon, but I doubt you'll have me.

It's a new project using the simpler 5e rules. Saves and BAB have been reworked, and character creation is easier. You start out with different items according to your class and background. Feats are less of a thing now, and it's less number-focused.

Psuedo-dragon? Dragonborn?

Pseudodragons are CR1/4, so unless you want to be the equivalent of a level 1 Commoner, I suggest running a Dragonborn Barbarian or Fighter.

Ohhhhhhhhh, Dragonborn fighter!!!
Where can I get a link to these rules of 5e? I assume that fighters need more str and wis than charisma?
