"Oh yeah that's right not alot of people have heard of Laguz before,". "Our mom is a Wolf Laguz which is umm well its kinda of hard to explain," Barry said as he was fumbling for the right words.
"La sigh I guess I have to do everything," a young woman appearing right next to Barry said. The young woman had shoulder length black hair, along with a pair of jet black wings. Her skin was pale, her eyes were purple and she was about as tall as Barry, she was slender except was umm well endowed. She wore a purple shirt that covered most of her top half but left her midriff exposed. She also had a slit in the back for her wings to stick out. She wore a black slack and her feet were covered with basic sandles.
"Kelly what, you normally remain in your crow form around strangers,". Barry asked.
"Oh do I," Kelly replied absent mindedly. "Well I figure it was okay for now and besides I needed to get some stretching done,". "Anyways Inners what was it allow me to explain what a laguz is," Kelly said leaning on Barry while eyeing Ken. "Oh but before I begin tell your pup to stand at ease," Kelly said. "You see I am a type 3 magic user in service to these two Barry and Kathrine, and well before he could draw his blade he would be teleported to some place deep within the woods okay," Kelly said with an unusal smile.
"La sigh Kelly, no need to provoke them," Sam sighed.
"What he started it, besides I take my duties of guarding these two seriously,". "Unlike a certain cat who couldn't be trusted to deliver one single letter to our masters love,". "I think the record of taking 150 years to deliver a single letter still stands," Kelly told Sam in a mocking matter.
"Like I haven't heard that one before," Sam replied.
Kelly stuck out her tongue to Sam while making a puffy face towards him.
"Please forgive these two its just that well my mom and dad are kinda of a big deal where we come from,". "When it comes to keeping us safe well umm they like to make a competition out of it,". "So yeah this is actually normal for these two," Barry sighed.
"Hmph well if Kelly isn't going to tell the Orca what a laguz is I will," Kathrine said.
"Laguzs are a class of shape users that have become one with there chosen animal,". "In our case our ancestors were in tune with the wolf, in Kelly's case her tribe were in tune with the Crow,". "Laguz are able to easily turn into that animal they are in tune with and as a result have picked up features of that animal,". "Me and my brother have wolf ears, tails and all the senses associated with wolves,". "Kelly has wings and can fly regardless if she's in her human or Crow form,". "Oh and before our tribe needed a special type of stone to be to transform but that technique has long been forgoten," Cathrine said.
"Oh and my mom and Kelly over here are pure laguz so they are able to easily turn into there animal forms,". "They are also able to maintain there form indefinitely with little to no strain on there mana,". "Yet me and my brother are only part laguz,". "So maintaing our form is alot more draining and harder to use,". "I think that's everything, so I have a question, whats an Orca?" Kathrine askes

Inners
How did she know my name...?
Ken seems annoyed by Kelly's comments. "I am not a puppy. I am a trained warrior and the Guardian to Inners. And I do not take kindly to threats. You will treat me with respect."
"Down, puppy." Ken mumbles a bit of something while his ears flatten. "I see. Laguz, huh...?" Inners seems to be inspecting Kelly.
How the hell does she stand up straight when she's so thin and her boobs are so HUGE!?
Ken listens to Catherine asking about orcas and responds immediately. "An orca is a large toothed whale with distinctive black-and-white markings and a prominent dorsal fin. It lives in groups that cooperatively hunt fish, seals, and penguins."
Inners sighs. "I think she meant Okir..."
Ken then immediately gives information on Okir. "Okir are humanoid creatures with wolf-like features. Our tails and ears. Okir are not capable of using magick, but they can sense it very clearly. The largest population of Okir currently live in Okirak Village." He then steps back and looks at Inners.
"Uh...good job?" His tail wags a little. "Alright, so, huge b- Kelly," He recovers instantly as if it didn't happen. "What are you doing around here?"

"Well mainly I am here to keep these two safe,". "Especially from eager pups who want to point there stick at my masters throat," Kelly said as her eyes narrow on Ken. "I will forgive you this one time given the circumstances and that you were just trying to protect your master like a good boy,". "But-t-t-t try to point your stick at her again and well," Kelly said as she snapped her fingers and a portal appeared in front of her.
"Well I did warn you I am a type 3 magic user so," Kelly said as she casually tossed a dagger into the portal. Kelly then snapped her fingers as the dagger went whizzing right past Ken. "As long as my masters are safe then we are good," Kelly said with a smile.
"Kelly I think he wanted to know why we are here in this area?" Barry said.
"Beats me I just follow where you two lead," Kelly said shrugging her shoulders.
"Forgive her eagnerness its just we are a couple of travlers exploring the world as part of there training," Sam said.
"There parents were adventurers back when they were around there age,". "Yet for the most part these two spent the past 100+ years confined to areas around the Cathedral,". "Finally, after a long heart to heart they decided these two should go on there own adventure and see the world," Sam said more or less.
"If only they remembered to give us a map," Barry mumbled.
"Oh oh oh oh I have an idea why not travel together," Kathrine said very excited. Kathrine's ears were up and her tail was wagging a mile a moment. "Please Mr. Wolf guardian person it would be so much fun and it would be nice to spend time with another wolf Orca," Kathrine said as she gave Ken her ultimate puppy dog eyes.
"Psst Sam you think we should tell them that we are part vampire along with being part human and laguz,"Barry whispered to Sam.
"Let's hold off on that til everyone settles down," Sam whispered back.
Kelly while Sam and Barry were whispering to one another created a portal. Kelly jumped into the hole (Bugs Bunny style) and appeared in between Ken and Inners. She had her arms around both of Ken and Inners and was smiling towards Inner.
"Just think about how much fun the 6 of us could have,". "I mean at least we would be better company then Mr. Barking puppy over there,". "Please Inner senpai pppppppllllleeeeeaaaasssssseeeee," Kelly said as he looked towards Inner with puppy eyes. She also leaned in closer to him. "Ppppplllluuuusssss I bet you I am easier on the eyes then Puppy boy over there," Kelly said.
"Oh boy this girl," Sam sighed as he face pawwed.
"Are you sure about her?" Barry asked Sam.
"Well your granddad thinks highly of her and her abilities,". "She speaks very highly of her abilities as both a type 3 user and her ability to use shape magic,". "Yet well umm in a way she kind of reminds me of your mom when she was younger,". "I mean in more ways then one and sometimes not in a good way," Sam sighed.
"Like?" Barry asked Sam.
"You know simple concepts like boundaries and personal space," Sam said.
Sam and Barry just looked over towards Kelly and Kathrine.

As Kelly throws a dagger at Ken, he stands unflinching and keeps his expression flat.
A simple trick like that could work on anyone else, but any trained Okir could easily tell where she's making her portals. It's like she wasn't listening at all when I told her I can sense every ounce of Magick in her.
Catherine mentions traveling together, to which Ken immediately responds "No." He then says. "You are not an Okir. Do not try to fool me again."
Inners sighs and shakes his head. "This is what I was talking about before. Ken, I demand that you stay quiet during the rest of this conversation! Do not interrupt!"
"..."
I want to tell him that this is dangerous, but...I can't disobey my master's orders.
"It sounds like traveling would be fun with you all." Inners seems to have turned his attention to the others while Ken listens to Barry and Sam whispering.
Vampires? That explains the death magick. This could be a trap. I need to let Inners know.
He notices Kelly now standing between the two of them. Inners responds to her question of traveling together. "I think that would be a great idea. Safety in numbers and all that, right?"
"Inners, I advise against traveling with these people, they-"
"Ken! What did I tell you? Why have you been so rude to these travelers?"
"Because they're not who you think they are!"
"That's enough. Stay quiet, puppy boy."
I'm not a puppy. Why won't he listen to me!?
"Anyway, as I was saying, I'd love to travel along with you. We were just heading toward the ruins as a part of our trial. Once we complete it, we can finally succeed our parents back at the village. According to what we know, the ruins should be on the snowy mountains at The Valley's edge. That way." He points off in the distance at the mountains.

"Yay your the best Inners, we promise to do our best,". "Oh and you have nothing to worry about as long as my masters are safe then no harm should occur,". "Well as you knnoowwwww I am a type 3 user and a laguz not this Ogre or whatever puppy boy is,". "Like I said us Laguzs were once humans that formed a pact with our guardian animal,". "So we arent these Orca things we are diff-er-ent," Kelly said with an unamussed face.
"Geez weren't you paying attention to when the young lady was describing what a laguz is,". "Oh well to be young and so carefree again I haven't been like that for hundreds of ye....," Kelly was saying when she saw Sam.
"I was really hoping you didn't hear that but well the cat is out of the bag," Sam sighed.
"We were going to wait to say anything but well it seems Ken over there has already figured it out,". "Yes the masters me and Kelly serve are in fact 1/3 vampire,". "There dad is half vampire and half human,". "There mom as early stated is a pure laguz,". "Now despite what you may think you know about Vampires its not what you think," Sam said.
"Oh yeah before young Mr. Ken gets to worked up you should know I am a type 4,". "Yes I can read minds and communicate through telepathy,". "Now then that all cleared up I don't know what Ken thinks we are planning but no we aren't here to suck blood or whatever notion you think,". "Yes these two are part vampires only young Barry has the ability to weild type 2 magic,". "Cathrine can only weild type 6 with a preference for flames," Sam said.
"Awww but I wanted to hang out with the cute Wolf Orca person," Cathrine pouted.
"Cathrine we have to trust Sam on this besides we know nothing of there mission," Barry said.
"But but but when will we see another cute wolf boy again,". "I mean mom already said all the wolf laguz are gone,". "I wonder if these wolf Orcas are as cute as young Ken over here," Kathrine pouted as she plopped onto the ground and made a pouty face.
"Hmph if I continue yes these two are part vampires,". "Yes we are travlers and yes they are just out to see the world nothing more, nothing less," Sam said.
"Ahhhhh I wanted to hang out with Innie and puppy boy over here," Kelly said as she jumped into a portal before landing by Barry and Cathrine.
"Sorry for any complications, but I figured might as well get it out in the open," Sam sighed.
"But Sam, I want to play with the Wolf Orca," Cathrine protested.
"No if its going to cause to much trouble we will leave them be," Sam said.

I know you can read my mind. You don't have to tell me. I can smell you doing it. And tell that portal bird to stop being so rude to me! I cannot speak because I cannot disobey my master.
"Oh, so you guys are vampires, but you're not evil? Sounds good to me."
You just believe them like that!? If these are enemies, then you are walking directly into their trap! Didn't you learn any of this from your training!?
"As long as you don't suck our blood, I don't mind having you along."
I can't believe this...
Despite his inner protests, Ken does not express any of this.

"Nah why would we want to suck your blood," Cathrine said.
"Oh your guardian can smell magic, what does magic smell like?" Kelly said.
"Well you see about Kelly she's umm a bit different,". "Sorry she's kind of been like this since she's first joined the Cathedral,". "I know you still have our doubts, just know as long as you don't try to harm Barry or Cathrine then everything will be okay,". "We promised to keep you and your young master safe," Sam said to Ken.
"Yay we get to hang out with wolf cutie and his master," Kathrine said as she placed Ken in a bare hug.
"Sorry about sister she's just really excited to meet new people,". "So umm this trial your on what do you have to do?". "Do you have to slay a dangerous monster?". "Pass a series of tests?" Barry asked.
"Ehh well if you don't need me anymore I think I am going to take a nap," Kelly yawned as she was surrounded by a light. When the light resided a best bird flew out of the light and right into Barry's bag and began to sleep.
"Umm by the way what are these enemies that your friend seems to be worried about?". "Is there a rival village?". "Or something that might be out to get you?". "The more we know what to keep an eye out for the better we can fight," Sam said to Inners.
"Hmm I have to be careful about using magic or anything,". "To tell the truth part of there duty is to discover and report on any new areas they come across,". "No pressure or anything on them being scouts, no none at all,". "Geez these two have a lot to live up to since there grandfather is the lord of the vampires themselves, and there dad is his personal retainer". "Well Inners seems trustworthy enough and as long as his guardian doesn't try anything we should be fine,". "Then again for there first discovery this is one hell of a discovery to make," Sam thought to himself.

Talia spends the next day scouting her target's small mansion in the heart of the city. The client had been able to give her a basic overview, but she passes by the house in a variety of disguises to help familiarize herself. The client had only one request: carry out the job as close to eight as possible. He's going to be at a late meeting with the mayor at the town hall. Not really a good alibi against accusations of hiring an assassin, but the customer is always right.
The target returns home in the early evening, along with his two guards. Talia waits until the servants are all busy preparing dinner to make her move. She quickly shimmies up a tree and swings over to a veranda, then straight into an open window. She glances back and makes sure no one saw her.
She casually slinks through the house as if she belongs, her soft-soled shoes silent on the stone-tiled floors. She's fully alert and evades anyone she hears coming with an almost casual ease. She finds a nice liquor collection in the study upstairs and helps herself, propping her feet up on the desk and relaxing in a comfortable armchair. She steps into next room well ahead of a servant coming to collect some sort of papers. Nothing's out of place, besides half the liquid in one of the bottles missing. She patrols along other rooms before finally settling for a hiding spot in a guest room where she can listen.
Heavy, confident footfalls. That's probably the target. They seem to head towards the study. The clock strikes 8, and Talia makes her way back there. She kneels down and peers through the keyhole. One man at the desk, matching the target's description. She waits until he shifts some papers around to mask the sound and turns the door knob. She pushes it open, throwing knife in hand.
She finds herself face-to-face with her client. Talia hesitates for a moment. That's all it takes. He whistles loudly, and magical portals begin to open all around her. "Drop your weapons!" a voice calls down the hall. Talia turns to run. She makes it 3 steps before an arrow thuds into the ground a hair's breadth from her foot. She stops in her tracks and slowly raises her hands.

The trial was a complete sham. It began less than an hour after her arrest with a series of witnesses that couldn't have possibly seen what they claim. And not only is she tried for the breaking and entering and attempted murder, but for several other crimes throughout the city - any unsolved crime the prosecutor could think of (admittedly, a few she did in fact commit, but still). An incompetent lawyer who put up only a token defense. Talia herself wasn't even allowed to testify - she is a dangerous type-4 magic user, after all, and who knows what ideas she may plant in the jury's minds? She spends her entire trial chained up in a holding cell. The final ruling was guilty of 7 murders, 3 attempted murders, and dozens of lesser charges - the crowning achievement being attempted assassination of a major politician. She's sentenced to public execution in a month's time.
The high-security prison itself wouldn't have been too bad. Terrible food and brackish water, but still better than most prisons in Alibab. The guards are heavily armed, but almost seem to be under orders to avoid her. The worst is the lack of alcohol. Talia does her best to ignore the pain of withdrawal.
On the fourth night - the monotony is broken by a visitor. A group of several guards armed with spears and various forms of magic come to her cell. They bind her arms behind her back and gag her. "As if I need to speak to use my magic." Talia things to herself with mind annoyance. "Whatever makes them feel safer, I suppose." She's marched to a compact, private room and seated at a small table. This time she's completely nonplussed when her client swaggers in with a smirk, raises a hand dismissively, and orders the guards out.
He produces a bottle of wine and a pair of fancy goblets, and places them on the table. Talia gives him as pleasant a smile as she can with the gag in her mouth. He returns it with an air of superiority as he fills the cups. "A fine Cletian wine made in Calysse, finely aged to perfection. I thought it only fitting to allow you to join in my celebration. You see, I won the election quite handily. All it took was a botched assassination, and a few carefully-timed rumors that she was sent by some of my closest rivals, or from Alibab..." He finishes pouring and roughly rips the gag from Talia's mouth.
"Congratulations, milord," she says cheerfully. "I am quite glad to have helped."
"To your health," he says with a harsh edge of sarcasm in his voice. He takes a sip from his glass. "Excellent," he says. "Are you not going to partake? Ah, yes, the manacles." He picks up the other glass and begins to hold it to Talia's lips, then proceeds to pour it onto the floor. "Hmph. If you don't want it, you just needed to say. This is such a fine wine. A shame to waste it like that." He smirks harder.
Talia cuts her eyes at the newly-elected senator with a subtle look of defiance. "I agree, milord." She rises from her seat, lowers herself to the ground, and spitefully begins to lap up to liquid. Her client's face twists in disgust. "Excellent indeed, milord, and the dirt dulls the flavor in a most fascinating manner. I thank you."
The senator, a bit shaken, clears his throat and attempts to regain his momentum. "Yes, well. I bring good news for you. I've decided to carry out your execution during my inauguration, so you won't have to wait for so long. Just until morning."
"A strange combination. I am excited to attend such a novel event, milord. Your invitation honors me."
He snorts derisively. "Speaking of invitations and honors, I have more news." Talia, finished with her wine, stares up at him from her knees with an interested grin. "Originally, I was hoping to press the rumors about Alibab's involvement in the assassination attempt to try to extort them a bit. It appears I've made a friend instead. Trying to assassinate the prince! He was very excited to learn about your capture. And very, very interested in attending your execution."
Talia's face pales. Her plan...
The senator smiles, glad to have finally gotten under her skin to a noticeable degree. "I was going to reward you with a quick and painless death, but the prince and I have come to an... arrangement." He jangles a sack of gold on his waist. "Instead, I believe this the ideal time to unveil a new instrument. You have the honor of not only being the first victim, and improving this district's relations with our neighbors."
"A high honor, indeed. Unfortunately, milord, I fear I must decline until after I've completed my current contract. Someone has requested I kill you, and I will unfailingly accomplish this."
Anger flashes across the senator's face, then a smile. He rears back and slaps her across the face, then shoves the gag back into her mouth.
The guards wait patiently outside the door. It cracks open and the senator pokes his head out. "Are you finished, sir? Shall we bring the prisoner back to her cell?" the guard asks.
"No. I want to make sure this wretch's last hours are as miserable as possible. Escort her to the torture chamber," the senator orders. The guards rush to obey, and the senator follows along. They release her manacles and chain her to a spike-lined rack, tightening it until her muffled screams of protest turn into cries of anguish. "Prepare the tongs. First, I will tear out her lying tongue. Leave the gag for now. I do not want anyone else exposed to her poison. Good. Now leave us, I want to enjoy this. Wait. Send someone to check in every few minutes in case she gets any ideas."

The next morning, a badly injured and muted Talia is paraded to the town center in rags and chains. The senator proudly follows along, sipping from a waterskin and munching on an apple. A wooden platform in a large plaza marks their destination. The prince of Alibab waits beside a menacing metal seat surrounded by a strange contraption, wearing the same smirk as the senator. Talia looks up nervously. Everything hinges on whether or not he brought that type-4 mage.
He did.
Talia's heart sinks.
The guards force her into the seat and fasten clamps around her wrists and ankles as the crowd cheers. Talia stares out at the sea of people with a blank expression. She just prays the bodyguard is too busy protecting the prince to probe into her mind.
The senator waves for silence and a hush settles over the crowd. "My countrymen. Thank you. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind praise. To be selected to represent us in the senate is a truly grand honor. It is my vow to serve, to fight for you all with vim and vigor." The crowd applauds politely.
"As my first act, by the power granted by my position, today I will oversee the execution of a most dangerous criminal. A murderer, an assassin. The scum of the world. She has attempted to slay both myself and the prince of Alibab. May her death cement our friendship in the coming years." He stands aside and allows the prince to speak as he takes another long draw from his waterskin.
The prince smiles warmly. "My friends," he begins in broken Cletian. "This woman, very bad. More crimes in Alibab than you know here. Truly evil. Death not enough punishment. Today, great justice."
The crowd cheers for the prince's broken speech as loudly, if not moreso, than the senator's. The senator joins in with a few small claps. "One final formality before we begin. Talia al Alhasifa, you have been found guilty of murder, attempted murder, and attempted assassination. Considering the heinous nature of your crimes, you have been sentenced to the iron wolf. You may now speak your last words."
Talia looks angrily at the senator and unleashes a string of angry, tongueless gibberish, then meek sobbing.
The senator signals for the guards, and they operate a series of releases on the contraption beside Talia's chair. Two sides rise up and lock together, completely enveloping Talia as they form a metallic effigy of a wolf. The senator takes another long draw from his waterskin as he and the prince move to take a position at the front of the crowd. The senator gives a small wave, and an elementalist sets fire to a pile of logs under the stage, beneath Talia's seat.
The wolf statue begins to howl.
The senator places a hand on the prince's shoulder. "I do not fully understand the science, but somehow the statue filters the agonized screams to sound like a howl. It is impressive, hm?"
"I wish I could see suffering, but amusing. Interesting. Would interest in have one for kill ugly prisoners." The prince laughs at his own joke, and the senator joins him.
It takes nearly 10 minutes for the howls to subside. The senator smiles. "It is done. We will let it burn a bit longer, to be sure. Then the device must cool before we can safely release it and remove the corpse - I am sure you wish to see it and confirm her death, correct?"
"Yes. Will take back to Alibab. Temple of Vilum."
The senator nods. He takes the prince's hand and offers a bow. "I apologize, but I have much to do in my new office. My aide will attend to your needs from here."
"Farewell, new friend."

The town guard waits for their wolf to cool, then cracks it open. The charred corpse inside is unrecognizable, but even a cursory glance is enough to tell it's not Talia. After a brief investigation, the crowd soon realizes they'd been cheering as their newly-elected senator burned. Talia shakes the last drops of mana potion from the senator's waterskin as she slips into a shady alley. She lets her illusion spell end and her disguise fades. She stretches a bit, glad to be back in her own skin rather than the senator's unseemly form. She leans against the wall and lets herself sink to the ground. Even after drinking that potion, her head is pounding from the strain of maintaining two disguises at once for so long. Especially when she had to make it look like her arms weren't still locked in manacles, back when she first traded places with her client. She probably wouldn't have been able to pull it off without that bottle of wine to knock the edge off.
"As promised, my client's target has been eliminated. My contract is complete." She feels the coin bag on her belt. It's not the payment she was promised, but it should be enough to get by for a few weeks, even after buying that potion. Or maybe not, since she's going to need to disappear again. She realizes this money was supposed to be a bribe from that prince to ensure her execution and can't help but laugh at the irony. She does feel a small sting of guilt for those guards that thought they were chaining her up in that torture chamber, and even more for the ones that carried out the execution. It wasn't anything personal, after all. But the feeling passes quickly enough.
She gathers some rubbish and heaps it over herself, then passes out from exhaustion. She's going to need to recover quite a bit of magic to get out of here.

Libra
Sitting at his desk, Libra calmly sips his coffee, overlooking the city of Newtonia through a large window, giving a full view. His eyes seem fixed on the newest shipment of Magitech goods heading out. All seems to be moving as planned. Magitech is a wonderful substitute for real magick and it seems to become further popular by the day. The door behind opens and footsteps are heard. Libra does not turn, but he does place his cup on the table with a soft clink. "James. You brought that list of Type Fours, correct?"
"Yes, Master Libra." An older man with graying, black hair dressed in a black suit with a red tie bows to him, placing papers on his desk. The man wears white gloves as well. His face is stern and focused with his semi gray beard helping to emphasize his features. "Those that you requested I look into are on the list, however..." He pulls out what appears to be a newspaper from under his suit. "I believe this is worth looking into as well."
The black and white newpaper is placed on the desk, sending out a slight puff of air as it does so. The lettering on the header states "Senator of Cletia Executes Himself!?" Libra delicately picks up the paper, unfolding it and quickly scanning through. His eyes fix on a single name. "Talia al Alhasifa"
"Her feats are quite impressive. Even moreso than the previously selected users. However, the simple issue is her background. She could not be seen by the public, should we want to keep our image as clean as it is. And it is not quite as easy a matter as Lady Crystal..."
Libra smirks a bit. "I think I may have an idea." He hands the papers back to his butler. "James." He pauses a moment. "Send him to retrieve her."
"Understood, Master Libra."

Aeon
A few days after the senator of Cletia seemingly met his demise at his own hands, Aeon arrives via airship. Dressed in new clothes given to him by Libra, he takes a look around at everything.
So this is Cletia? It is very different from Newtonia.
He takes a moment to stretch as he heads off of the airship. "Hold on a moment. I'll be right back." He calls out to the captain.
"No need to be in such a rush! We just got here!" The captain calls back to him.
"I think I'll get my work done pretty quickly. Be ready to leave when I get back."
"Very well then." The captain gets to work while Aeon walks off.
With each step from him, the world seems to suddenly slow. The people in the streets stop walking and come to a halt. The birds in the sky freeze in the air. Everything stops. Time is frozen around the entire city. Not a thing moves aside from an ancient warrior wearing his ancient armor.
Fully changed and now in his ancient armor, Aeon pulls down his visor, hiding his face so that only the dragon-like knight is visible. "Testing." His voice seems to be altered, becoming deeper and more aetherial sounding as if a powerful magician from another plane were behind it. Something that must come from the armor. As he walks through the city, he inspects every person there. His feet make solid, sharp sounds as they walk through the area. Finally, he stops with his eyes focused on one particular woman. Holding up a paper, he confirms that this is definitely her, comparing the picture to the woman. He places the paper away and positions himself in front of her. Reaching out, he taps the woman on the head, causing her body to return to time while the rest of the world around her is frozen and grayed out. The scene is almost something from a strange dream. Aeon then speaks a single word to her. "Hello."

Talia strolls down the street, adjusting her new toga and gear. She's still getting used to all the replacements. It'd taken almost all of her money, too... She's busy trying to calculate how much longer she'll be able to afford eat when suddenly a metal dragon appears in front of Talia. No, just a helmet. She magically suppresses the urge to flinch and simply shuffles back, grabbing the skirt-like toga for a small curtsy. "Hello, sir. How may I be of service?"

Aeon
"I have a friend that would like to speak with you. Your magickal prowess has caught his attention. I understand that you work for money. He has quite a bit." The dragon speaks to her very seriously, expressing nothing.

Talia smiles warmly. "Very well, sir. Lead the way."

Aeon
"Very well. Follow me." He turns and begins walking. "Pay no mind to the people. They are frozen in time." He leads Talia over to the location of the airship. As the two of them stand on it, she notices color return to the world around them. Cletia returns to life and the airship captain turns before jumping slightly.
"Gah! You're still here?"
Aeon is no longer wearing the armor and is instead wearing the normal clothes provided by Libra. "I already finished my business. I told you I would be quick about it!" He smiles. His tone seems very friendly and genuine. It's quite the shift from the dragon before. The airship captain looks over at Talia and opens his mouth to say something before Aeon tosses a sack of gold to him. "Here, a gift from Mr. Reliquum. In order to ensure our package arrives safely."
The captain looks at the back, wide eyed before looking back up and nodding. He turns and shouts to his men. "Alright, let's get her in the sky! To Newtonia!"
The airship begins to lift off and Aeon turns back to Talia. "I hope you don't get airsick. Sorry about the armor and all that before. I've made it a habit to always put it on while using my magic. Please make yourself comfortable. This is Libra's private airship, after all. He wanted to make sure you arrived in luxury."
I wonder what it is he wanted her for...? Ah, well. It isn't my place to question him when he's provided such hospitality. This is the least I can do to repay him.

Talia stays out of the way throughout the ride, particularly if she manages to find some kind of open bar. Otherwise she finds somewhere to sit quietly and not speak unless spoken to because asking questions is a good way for an assassin to get herself killed.

Aeon
Watching Talia from a bit of distance, he takes a seat, becoming quickly lost in thought. Questions drift throughout his mind. He quickly darts from one to the other. Who is he? How did he get here? What was his home like? What is the calamity? How is Talia going to help prevent it? Is he making the right choices? Why does it feel like something is...off? What is it that he's forgetting that's so important? It's as if he can hear someone's voice calling to him faintly from another time. Another world...
Before he realizes it, the airship finds itself landing in Newtonia. The captain shouts down to him and Talia in the luxurious inside of the airship. Standing from the leather seat, he retrieves Talia from the bar. He leads her to the deck, thanking the captain before causing another temporal shift. The area fades into gray timelessness with a rippling effect and Aeon is suddenly wearing his armor once again. "By freezing time like this, I can ensure that we take the fastest route without attracting attention. Follow me."
The two of them walk past crowds of people. One businessman appears to be in the middle of dropping some sort of magitech device as it floats off the ground. Aeon picks it up and places it back in his hands as he walks past. He glances over his shoulder at Talia, making sure she's still there.
A city like this may be something she isn't used to. It is quite different from where I found her. Hopefully she's alright.
He turns forward again, continuing to walk. He opens the door for her to walk into a large building. It seems to be one of the taller ones, towering into the sky with many glass windows, likely providing a wonderful view of the city and the nearby ocean port. He then leads her through and into an elevator. As he steps in, time seems to return as well as the color of the world. He pushes a button to one of the higher floors and the elevator begins to move. He turns to Talia, no longer wearing the armor and smiles. "Ever been on one of these before? It's magitech technology. Libra created it himself."
The doors open with a ding. The two find themselves stepping into a clean and well kept office. In fact, everything seems to almost shine in here. The floor is reflective and white and the furniture seems to be a mix between black, white, and plants. Two figures are at the opposite end of the room. One faces Talia. Likely a servant of some kind to Libra. Behind the desk, someone else sits. However, his chair is facing the window. All that can be seen is the back of his head. Silver hair.
"Talia. Welcome." Unseen to the others, a smile begins to creep its way across Libra's face as he looks out the window. He places down his coffee cup, now empty.

Talia smiles and nods along with Aeon and generally acts as pleasant as possible. When they reach the office, Talia takes a knee and bows her head at the greeting. "Thank you, sir."
