3/4ths of 12,000 is 9,000 right? 9,000 is fine. So... Two spare E-Clips would cost 4,000 total? Yep

So 13,000 total, and 16,000 for the saber gauntlets. I'm also going to spend 200 credits on a nice backpack for Shira. She'll need something to store all her harvested Dragon Hearts, after all.

Oh.
Celica doesn't like cats, though. I hope they don't have to ride the Catbus.

Oh. Celica doesn't like cats, though. I hope they don't have to ride the Catbus. But the Catbus is adorable! And fun! And adorable! ... Oh right, Celica doesn't like fun and adorable things like Catbuses and dragonlings.

Celica's an unmasked psionic. Cats freak out and run from unmasked psionics. Cats and other animals have always either run from or swiped at Celica.
Celica does not like cats.
...Oh... I guess there would be no point in Celica getting a cute pet. Because it would also run from her.

I thought animals only ran from supernatural creatures, not just any Psionic?

And a psionic isn't supernatural...?
I can't find the entry, I looked for a few minutes. But I had it written down, so I must have had a reason to think it was true before.

No. Psionics are not considered "Supernatural". Supernatural Creatures are dragons, demons, gods, Splurrgoth, monsters, etc.

Perception rolls came up 2 sessions ago and I don't think we could remember how they worked, they're on 267.
Why would a psionic not be supernatural...? They're clearly not natural... This... makes a small but significant inconsistency in Celica's backstory, then...
Myyyystiiiic. Heeeeelp.

Celica's race is human. Therefore she's not Supernatural. Supernatural Creatures like Dragons have Supernatural PS, natural MDC armor, and all that BECAUSE they're Supernatural creatures. A creature is defined to be Supernatural because of their race, not their abilities. You cannot change that. It would break everything.

You cannot change that. It would break everything. Neo, the Hyper-bowl was last Sunday. Haha... a hyperbole joke and a sports joke.

I can't stress how important this is. This is one aspect of the rules you simply CANNOT bend. Making Celica classified as Supernatural anyway, just because she's Psionic, would literally destroy everything. Like, I don't even know where to start. If all Psionics were supernatural, dragons would be pointless, any semblance of balance would be impossible, Shira would become obsolete, Crow would have to completely redo Celica's backstory, and so, so much more.

But, really, Neo. Not helpful. At all. I was going to say Mystic and I found a solution, but apparently it doesn't work because Celica's still human regardless of anything ever, and the game's definition of supernatural isn't, y'know, the definition of supernatural. And Neo feels super-strongly that a being's not supernatural unless they've got natural MDC armor so now Celica likes animals and generally has a different personality, pretend all that other stuff up 'til now didn't happen.

Um. It's not that big of a deal, Neo. Nobody said Celica had to become a one punching dragon goddess. Crow and I worked something out together.

Or affect her at all.

I really, really don't have time to explain everything- nor should I have to. It's literally in the book. If Mystic wants to classify Celica has being partially Supernatural or having a really powerful aura or whatever, I don't see a problem with it. But if Celica- and by extension all other Psionics everywhere- are suddenly full blown Supernatural creatures, then that makes my own character utterly obsolete.

SHIRA CAN ALREADY SOLO A DUNGEON DESIGNED FOR THE WHOLE PARTY, HOW DOES ANYTHING MAKE HER OBSOLETE EVER. WHAT BENEFIT DOES THE LABEL "SUPERNATURAL" GIVE THAT'S SO DAMN AMAZING? AND WOULDN'T THAT MAKE SHIRA DOUBLE-SUPERNATURAL?

But seriously, I'm legitimately curious how that changes things. There's now a reason animals thing Celica's supernatural even though she's not.
