That's an awful random thing to remember.
Sometimes there aren't really good moves. Just less-bad moves. You can play all your cards right and still lose.
This was never going to be a happy chapter.

I started writing and then scrapped it all because it was too hopeful and cheery.
Actually it was way too long with no choices and I spent all day thinking of ways to re-write the chapter a bit. But now I know what's gonna happen. Might come out some stuff. Maybe not. I'll decide once I start re-writing... now. Ish.

...You're also going to see the results of your previous choices starting to play out... By unlocking a really... even-I-didn't-see-it-coming type of option. And also some other stuff.

...Actually I shouldn't say part 1 of X. I don't know how this will play out or how many things this will end up affecting since I never expected this to happen. Could end up affecting things throughout the entire arc, really.

(since this is likely the point where we should talk about stuff instead of mavericking it further) Calling her bluff and pointing out even if Carcina's tiny, Ferox can't really spare the troops while dealing with Valm as well. Gale would've backed her up. Zenia would've admitted she's right and a bit smarter and ballsier than she thought. Point this out and ask if Zenia really wants to provoke Carcina and their potential allies and nudge them into siding with Valm instead? |
