m.youtube.com/watch?v=_Fn1Pw-LxU8Nogeko attempts to start yodeling while drawing porn on the walls. His porn drawings aren't very good either. Very sloppy. The proportions on those bodies are VERY off. Meanwhile, Hope and Seiberg check the doors and platforms. The ones on the left and right don't move and seem to require some sort of puzzle solving element. One platform has a crown on it with ribbons behind. One has a crystal with a swirling design. Another has a mysterious magic-like design. The last has a tribal design. All of them glow on the platforms. The doors in the back simply open without much effort and going inside, Hope and Seiberg find that it is a large kitchen. Floating books are flying around and strange, lizard-like chefs prepare a meal together. You count three chefs in this room. Each one is scrambling to cook their meal. A large boiling pot probably contains soup inside and sits over a fire. There are all kinds of cooking utensils on the counter. Spoons, forks, whisks, knives, and so on. A giant cook book is open as well on the counter. They're making something from that. An Empty Bottle sits as well close by to one of the chefs. If you could get it without them seeing it would be a valuable item... Meanwhile, back in the main lobby, as Nogeko yodels to pretty much warn everyone in the mansion of his presence, John and Scruff attack the Gargoyles. When this happens, these Gargoyles' eyes flash before they start to move and take up a battle position. It looks like they plan on battling you. As well as these, a Coeurl comes prowling out of one of the locked doors and notices you, licking its jaws and flicking its tail while growling.

Seiberg casts Fire on the big cook book since the chefs love it so much. And to make a chaotic distraction. Meanwhile, Hope snakes* her way over to the bottle. Best case, she gets caught and tossed in the pot and made into a delicious onion soup. But failing that we still probably get a bottle which is a nice consolation price.
John and Scruff keep smash-smashin' them gargoyles. Flurrie and Nogeko help them. Fletcher, Daniel, and Rena focus on the kitty.
*Oh my God I just realized Snake's an anagram of sneak...

What can our new friend Waite do?

What can our new friend Waite do? Well it's an amorphous water creature. So anything a sentient collection of water could do. One of its main abilities is to copy enemies or allies.

Seiberg casts fire on the cookbook and it bursts into flames. The chefs all panic for a moment, running around and gathering water while trying to contain the flames. While they're distracted, Hope grabs the Empty Bottle and stores it away. The chefs notice Hope and Seiberg and don't look as much angry as they do scared. Now that they're looking at them, Seiberg seems to recognize them. "That's a Tonberry. That type of monster is incredibly dangerous. Do NOT let it touch you."
John and Scruff continue to attack the Gargoyles with Rock Smash while Nogeko prepares an arrow. He hits both of them with one of his arrows before Flurrie leaps into the air and performs a body slam, crushing one of the Gargoyles into pieces while posing. Daniel and Rena focus on the Coeurl, trying to fight it off, but even though they damage it, this one seems to be stronger than the Gargoyles by quite a bit. Fletcher manages to hit the Coeurl with an Ember as well before it unleashes a wave of electricity around itself, damaging and paralyzing Daniel, La Rena, and Fletcher. The electric wave hits and damages Waite as well and the water creature turns to the Coeurl with its eye's color changing to red. The Gargoyle that is left attacks Scruff savagely and knocks out the poor Poochyena. Nogeko returns it to his Pokeball.
What will you do?

That's a Tonberry. What will you do? Run. Never stop running. Run back to the caravan. Back to Alfitaria. Back the the elevator. To the far ends of the earth. ...OK, now what to actually do...? Get Hope and Seiberg out of the kitchen. Close the door. Hope and Seiberg turn their attention to the electro-kitty, Hope taking point. Nogeko swoops in the drag Daniel and Rena out of danger while recalling Fletcher. John and Flurrie stay on the gargoyle.

Sounds great. Add in Waite helping out with some water-whip action.

Hope and Seiberg bolt out of the kitchen and slam the doors closed behind them, seeing the party fighting a Coeurl. "You've got to be kidding me..." Hope takes out her axe and runs in, smashing the Coeurl in the head with it. This keeps it distracted long enough for Nogeko to push Daniel and Rena away from the Coeurl with only a little difficulty. Flurrie recalls Fletcher while John suplexes the Gargoyle into the ground and gives Flurrie enough time to perform a body slam and smash it apart. Seiberg casts a Blizzard on the Coeurl to damage it some more and the electric cat casts a powerful spell. A blast of incredibly strong wind throws Nogeko back into a wall and knocks him out. He looks to be in seriously bad condition right now. The three Tonberries come walking in from the kitchen as well, staring at your group. Waite whips the Coeurl with his tentacles as well, dealing some decent damage.

Seiberg continually pesters the Tonberries with magic spells to keep their attention, retreating any time they get even a bit close. Hope and Flurrie all-in the coeurl. John starts collecting our fallen and paralyzed party members to pull back to the courtyard as soon as the cat's down.

Cover the area in a dodgy fog and get Nog out of there as soon as possible. The Tonberries are very dangerous (I prefer to not take on 3 at once and to pick them off one by one.
Now would be a good time to get the Fire flower. John should use strength on the coureal
Someone get Nog out of the house and heal him whether its the shroom shake we have or aby healing spells.

Seiberg catches the Tonberries' attention by setting one of them on fire with his magic, distracting them and running around the house while they chase him. Meanwhile, Flurrie creates a Dodgey Fog, blinding all the enemies so they can't see what is going on. "Alright, let's finish this thing." Hope takes out her axe, hopping atop Flurrie as she jumps into the air for a body slam. As Flurrie comes down, Hope swings her axe with the power of Flurrie's jump and the Coeurl is split apart by the axe. While all this happens, John runs along, piling up everyone that can't move up into his arms and runs out of the mansion, carrying them all. Everyone starts to run out of the mansion and while Seiberg runs toward the exit with Tonberries chasing after him, Flurrie plants a Fire Flower to unleash a spray of flames at all of them, slowing them down so he can escape in time. Flurrie runs over to Nogeko and gives him a Shroom Shake, fully healing him so he's ready to battle. That definitely hit the spot. Meanwhile, the Tonberries start to come out of the door. Seiberg casts a Thunder, blasting one as it falls to the ground defeated, but the other two make it through the door, approaching your party still. Daniel and La Rena manage to shake off the paralysis as well.
What will you do?

Split into 3 groups and move on different directions. Any group being chased just focuses on running. Any group with no tonberry following it pours on the ranged and magic attacks.

I like this idea. Waite can help out too by drenching one or both of the Tonberries woth water and then unleash all our thunder magic that we have

Everyone splits off into different groups with Hope and Seiberg running around, getting chased by a Tonberry and Flurrie and Nogeko getting chased by a Tonberry. La Rena and Daniel are free of the Tonberries and Wait jumps into the fountain, controlling the water in it to splash both Tonberries. La Rena unleashes multiple arrows into one of the Tonberries, taking it down while Daniel casts Thunder on the other one to defeat it. All three chefs are defeated. Daniel picks up one of the items they dropped as well. It's a small barrel of Fresh Water. La Rena picks up another item as well. It's Star Corn. Everyone is standing around the courtyard quietly now.

Patch up, eat up, then see if the kitchen's in one piece, charred, or still on fire.

Daniel and Seiberg work together to heal up everyone, healing most damage done. The party then heads back inside of the mansion and into the kitchen. There's nobody in here now. The fire seems to have been put out by the Tonberries before you killed them. There is a soggy, charred book sitting on the counter with burn marks on the counter as well. The soup is still cooking in a large pot over a fire also. Some of the kitchen equipment is still here, but all the knives are gone for some reason. While the party inspects the kitchen, they hear something outside of it in another room. Something loud like the shifting of an object.

Is scruff still KO?
If he isnt see if he can use odor sleuth and tell Nog what the smell is.
If he is then well our person with the strongest defense should very very slowly open the door. Or maybe Waite can shift through the door and then give hope a report

How's the soup? Any good? If Tonberries were involved the last thing i want is anything they touched. At best its poisoned (yeah I been through 3 of they type games and I learned to be paranoid of everything)
