The Schism: A 13th Age RP Campaign

Well, that was a fun but crazy session as usual. Everyone gets a level up and a full heal up, so everyone should be 2nd Level and have all of their recoveries and abilities back next session.

Leveling up basics:

HP increase = Class Base + Con modifier
+1 AC
+1 PD
+1 MD

All of this is automatic on your character sheet on Roll20. Just increase the level using the arrow keys and hit enter.

Everyone gets a new feat now, and everyone has 2 slots for Magic Items now. Everyone gains a passive +1 bonus to attacks, skills, egg. Obviously. Just roll your new level for stuff.

No one has any new spells or relationship points they can take at level 2, so that should be it.

Also, reminder: you don't get the bonus you took from your Incremental Advance again. For example, if you used your Incremental Advance to increase your HP, your HP stays the same.

I'll post a summary of what happened after he left for Lurk tomorrow. Unless someone else wants to do it.

So, Karth has snagged member 2 of his harem.

Lessee. We spent an hour getting tech issues hammered out and tokens set and all that. Karth stuck on his ring, got overwhelmed, and passed out. Construct tried to rip it off and failed. We found out the dragon was white. Super-rare. Claimed to be the White. Though was much smaller than she should've been. Also Za White was supposedly killed by the Lich King a few years ago. Y'know, couple hundred. At least.

Dragon had a sizeable treasure trove. Also wouldn't let me ride her. She also seemed to know Seren. And Seren knew her question mark. At first Seren tried to punch her lights out, then Seren decided she wanted to diplomatize it. Construct decided he wanted to murder the dragon. Aeva stayed in the "I just want to ride her" camp. Karth was busy romancing naked elf ladies in his sleep while we did the hard stuff. Warin was being controlled by Neo so we'll do retroactive RP stuff later.

Dragon tried to run, then changed her mind when Seren calmed her... Do dragons have mammary glands? After Seren calmed her down. Seren started trying to restrain the Construct. Then he used the G-word and Aeva started trying to kill the construct. And Warin was undecided. And Dragon ran off after we knocked him TFO. While saying something about how we'd rue the day we broke into her home, looted her hoard, and tried to ride her. Rude. Also she was a total cockblock. Her roaring woke Karth up right when he was about to make sweet, beautiful music with the now-slightly-less-naked elf lady. He may or may not be a royal consort now. Oh, and Construct forgot all that stuff that happened, and how Seren's a filthy half-dragon. But I did not forget that she's a filthy half-elf.

Speaking of hoards, we looted Dragon's stuff. It wasn't the original plan, but all those weird, old gold coins were really shiny. Aeva found a tiger-summoning sigil. And a griffin-summoning sigil. She was actually happy about one of those. Karth got a lion. Seren found a crown. In-character, we don't know what it did. Out-of-character, putting it on is really going to bite her in the ass. There were also fancy ancient maps. Probably better to ask Neo to show you later. Oh, and gems. Truly outrageous.

Found a bunch of crystals. Aeva saw heresy, Aeva smashed. There was a half-naked fire lady in it. Aeva is very confused. She may actually feel bad about smashing that crystal? Evil or not, smashing defenseless people is not OK. Doesn't know if it was a person or a projection. Curious. Come to think of it, was Seren the only other to see her? Also found a very dead adventurer by a secondary entrance. Karth gave him a thorough cavity search and found a telephone-stone. And then the dungeon collapsed.

Went back to town. Told the governess everything that happened. Aeva gave her the look and she seemed legit and didn't send those adventurers knowingly into a trap. Good. Seren shared some stuff about the lady in red being named Solara. She gave us our reward. And a bonus Bag of Coin Convenience so we could physically carry it. Oh, we saw evidence of death for all the adventurers (lost gear) but only 2 corpses. Huh. Found the link to that telephone-stone. Turns out the tavernkeep's son ran off with the adventurers. And died. But he made it to the final boss! So he gets the most points.

Uh. Party split up. Seren went to the market. Aeva went to the church and made a donation and promised to deliver a shard from the Dungeon's Heart to The Priestess. And also a letter from the governess. And rolled a 5 for that. So I'm sure that'll end well. Seren did the same for The Black with a 6. And is bringing Karth with those maps. Who better not try to get into her pants. He won't fit.

Then Neo suggestively asked who's going to head to the tavern. With the dead son. Aeva's chilling at the prison preaching and won't be there anytime soon. Seren's wandering the market and should be there soonish. Karth tried to romance the depressed and overwhelmed governess. Nothing wrong with going for a slightly older lady. After all, the others he's been romancing are probably like 1,000 times her age. At the very least. She gave him some of her old notes from her adventuring days.

You'll warn me if Aeva's about to do something... unbecoming, right? If she's doing something that seems innocuous but isn't OK by the Church of Light. Like, you wouldn't need to warn me if she's doing something obviously morally grey. Or if someone used the G-word. But otherwise she wants to be a good little pixie-paladin.

On that note, how's the church feel about sex and relationships? Specifically, about trying to romance every lady you come across? Are there any special rules and expectations I should know for paladins? In general for that last one, not specifically about romance.

Yes, I'll warn you. Maybe. Most likely.

While the Church likes to argue against premarital intimacy sometimes, it's more of a priest by priest belief and not an official policy or stance. Adultery is a big no-no, and is considered one of the biggest sins against the gods, but the Church of Light has nothing against consensual sex as a whole.

Romancing every lady you come across is odd and a recipe for disaster, but not unheard of in a fantasy land with lots of bards and smooth talking nobles. It certainly wouldn't be considered a great sin by the CoL. Unless you tried to romance the Priestess. Then you'd have a problem.

Paladins, Priests, Clerics, and other sworn officials of the CoL are sworn to obey the laws of the Church(Which basically means not committing sins against the gods and serving and protecting the people) and are stripped of their position if they commit acts of unprovoked violence against an innocent victim, steal, or commit acts of great blasphemy. The acts have to be proven in front of the Church's Inquisition, and slander or baseless allegations are not taken lightly.

Marriage is seen as a way to celebrate the Goddess of Love, and to celebrate each other, and is encouraged by the CoL. Priests are allowed to marry, as are paladins, Clerics, and other officials. Also, while officials of the Church are allowed to engage in intimacy like anyone else, if someone starts sleeping around to the point it causes a scandal for the Church, well.... That's crossing the line.

Actually, the Dragon attacked us first, Aeva was the one who asked to be thrown at the dragon, and he never said anything about pixies. He thought she was a gnome, just like he thought Seren was an elf.
