Session summary:

You guys beat Shiva, who apologizes for attacking the party so suddenly and explains that she's the guardian/bound Elemental of Idoun's mom and was acting under her orders, to test how far Idoun's come. She also possesses the unique ability to see a glimpse of a person's soul during battle.

Shiva reveals that Idoun's mother could see the future, and designed the three Memory Prisms, as well as the quest to find them, in order to prepare Idoun to take her place. The Memory Prisms need to be recharged with a magical focus because they've been dormant for so long, but afterwards they can be activated by Idoun. Each Memory Prism holds a specific memory of Iselia's, and can also be used to transport Idoun and friends to the temple whenever they wish.

Shiva talks to Nyl in private, and gives some insight into how to best serve the Red. She tells Nyl to spread the truth about the Red, to help change peoples' images of him, and to search for the Red's only child, who is still alive somewhere and is the key to saving him. The Red still blames himself for a traumatic event between them.

Shiva tells Idoun that the next Memory Prism lies in the Frost Mountains, near the home where Idoun was born, "in the place special to Idoun and her childhood friend." She also told Ninian that what she was searching for was also in the Frost Mountains.

For Seren, Shiva taught her how to better control the Hand of Winter. Shiva showed Seren visions of Iselia and the seasons, a series of images and rush of knowledge, via telepathy, that helped Seren come to understand the Hand of Winter not as a magic item, but a concept of reality that's now part of her, one and the same as her body and mind.

Seren perks: She can do more flashy things with the Hand of Winter outside of battle, without tiring as much. Mechanically, this means Seren can now activate the Hand of Winter for RP purposes outside of battle even if she failed to recharge it last. In addition, the ice now only covers her hand and a little past her wrist. And yes, Seren can now control the Hand of Winter enough to hold or touch people without accidentally harming them.

Karth didn't want anything from Shiva, cause he already has Eggy. Speaking of which, Eggy gained some exp.

Edit: Also, the sword Caliburn is a prototype Excalibur that Iselia made.

No session tonight. Sorry it's last minute, I meant to say so earlier, just forgot. Cheese can't make it tonight, and we're about to go into some heavy backstory for Idoun, so I want Warin to have a chance to RP.

I work mornings instead of evenings now, but I can until like midnight.
