Hey, guys. Party dragon? Not, like, the player party. Like, balls, banquets, with a side of debauchery. And intrigue.
Vote now!
A. Party dragon? B. Party dragon.

I don't know if it's because no one's had time to answer, or if my general silliness made it seem like a joke. We're actually looking for feedback on possibly adding another near icon dragon from the 2nd bestiary - Malatyne, the Purple Dragon. Of course, not exactly as the book outlines her (and it gives a whopping six different backstories and flavors as a sample). She does throw killer parties, and would likely help connect the small time personal lives of PCs, political drama, and the Icons and their antics all together. It would be an interesting way to bridge things, and no doubt there would be plenty of other stuff to do following the rise or return of a dragon. The potential downsides mostly involve how to tackle the issue of the Purple never being mentioned previously, and if it would feel off to you guys for us to start working things in.

Ummmm I dunno. I've kinda already lost track of the story. I just make monster friends and beat up meanies. Sometimes I sing.

We've been missing having you at session, so hearing that you feel lost is really, really sad.

It's okay. Sometimes I space out, so it's not anyone's fault or anything.

"Why didn't anyone mention this purple before?" "We don't talk about the purple. She's the black purple sheep of the family."
No opinion.

I personally think it's up to you. If you want to add her in and think you can do it well, I'm all for it.
But if it's too much and you don't think you can do it without it feeling forced, don't.
I'll have fun either way.

Kay, Kay. Also!
Hand of Winter (Legendary Magic Item, quick action – recharge 8+, but see below): It’s debatable if there’s one relic called the hand of winter that recurs in different forms, or if each one’s as distinct as one winter is from next year’s. Once you touch the Hand, your own hand freezes solid and transforms into living ice. So now that you have an icy hand, what does it do?
Your melee attacks and damaging spells can do cold damage instead of whatever damage they normally deal if you wish. You inflict additional cold damage equal to three times your level when you punch or touch someone. You gain Resist Cold 16+; enemies must roll a nat 16 or higher with a cold attack against you, otherwise the attack only deals half damage. You gain 1 point in a positive Relationship Die with the High Druid; denizens of nature respect your place as the embodiment of winter. You can sense, to a limited degree, the primal energy in places and people, and see a vague outline of what that energy is or what it represents. All those effects are automatic and passive – you don’t need to activate the hand for those.
You may activate it to: • add +10d10 cold damage to any one attack(if the attack has more than one target, then split the d10s among them before rolling – you could do an extra d10 to ten different enemies, or hit two foes, one for 5d10 and the other for 5d10). • allow yourself or any nearby ally to automatically succeed at a save against ongoing cold damage. • change the weather in the local area. You can call up winter storms, blanket the land in a blizzard, or pick up and drag winter away to let spring in. You don’t have any fine control however, so you can’t use this power as a direct attack, but the GM may allow environmental bonuses. •Cloak yourself in a freezing, wintery aura until the end of the next round of combat. You gain +3 to all defenses and deal 5d10 cold damage to any enemy who attacks you in melee range.
•Do epic, hand-wavey narrative things because you’ve got a season on the end of your arm.
You can activate the Hand of Winter in or out of combat, but you will still need to roll to recharge it either way; your control of the Hand's primal powers is not perfect or unlimited, and sometimes, using it can be very draining. A failed recharge roll means using the Hand's power has drained your stamina and energy too much, and you will need to wait until a full heal-up before using the Hand's powers again.
Once you’ve got the hand, you’re stuck with it until you perish or you willingly allow someone to take it from you. Technically, your hand is indestructible, but that’s something of a moot point, as the rest of your body is still mortal. If you try to, say, catch the fiery breath of the Red, your hand will survive but the rest of you will be frosted ash on the wind.
Other narrative effects are as follows: • You have to physically drag the season of winter down from the north each year, and pull it back up when it’s time for spring • You get to shape giant snow castles and rule an ice-bound empire with your frozen fist. I mean, if you want to. • You’re an honorary blood sibling of the Frost Giant King. Or his mortal enemy. Or maybe both. •White Dragons and other creatures of ice feel drawn to you. This may be a good thing or a bad thing. Quirk: Prone to contemplation and self reflection on the nature of the universe, often to the point of spacing out.
