If you limit monster destruction by card effect you still skew advantage towards monsters that can't be destroyed by battle. As it stands, you can decide how much monster destruction you want to carry and weigh the trade-off between removal and actual plays. If you limit a strategy then you can take advantage of the fact that there's a limit.
Konami limited Artfact Moralltach (when SSed, destroy one face-up card on the field), so they're at least trying.

Royal Decree is a serious pain in the arse; but that doesn't protect you from things like Giant Trunade or JD. Neither would the traps I listed. |

Looking a for a card that can prevent that. I put in Divine Wrath, but there are probably better traps for that specifically. |
