But tributing another player's monster equates to taking possession of it. Even if you tribute it from your opponent's side of the field, that still counts as taking possession. Yang Zing prevents that. Yang Zing also prevents ALL spells and traps, so only a select few monster effects would work. Ghostrick Would. The trap go around doesn'target period Doesn't matter if the trap targets or not. If a synchro is summoned using Bixi, Water of the Yang Zing, that synchro is unaffected by ALL trap effects. |

"Cards are in a player's possession if they on their side of the field; in their hand, Main Deck, Extra Deck, or Graveyard; about to Summoned; or attached as an Xyz Material to a Xyz Monster in their possession. Banished cards are in their owner's possession." Nothing in there says that tributes have to be in the tributer's possession. Cards that tribute other cards even say "tribute one monster your opponent controls" implying that it still belongs to them when you do it. |

Just for the record, on that turn, what Digi needed to stop Beelzeus was Silent Horror Ark. He had a Summoner Monk on left alive on the field. So that means that he needed to draw a level 4 monster, or a spell. And in that deck, there are two level 3 monsters and 3 traps. The rest is level 4 monster and spells. So there were exactly five cards in his deck that would NOT have resulted SHArk-age. So no, it was not a lucky draw. It would go down exactly the same way 35 times out of 40. Neo ought to have killed Summoner Monk instead of Dark Law, but hindsight is 20/20
Also, I'm finally home and able to duel now.
