That's the MAIN story Neo is talking about, forgetting my characters doing their own thing, and not really messing with anyone yet...because they're too-cool-for-school.
I think I might roll with another character soon, but it really depends on what I'm going to do with him/her.
It's really just Neo, CDM, Cheese, Golurk, GX, and Double H posting frequently. I try to post when I can, but that's probably because I'm doing an individual arc I'm planning out, and thus I'm going a lot slower than them. Pretty good method tbh.I don't have to wait for people to reply!

We're kind of grinding our gears right now, so I'd recommend just catching up.
We're waiting on GX, who's been really busy. Hopefully we can make some forward progress during fall break.

( ̄ω ̄) Name: Charles Philo, {The Scene} Class: Barbarian Gender: Male Age: 25 Appearance: Short, black, straight hair, lightly tanned skin, and brown eyes. His jagged smile contrasts his soft facial structure. Maintains stubble. Stands tall, with very broad shoulders. His forearms and back are heavily tattooed with thin, elegant patterns. Generally wears light leather under a black cloak into combat, while going shirtless outside of it. Plain, dark brown pants and shoes. Covers his face at times with a black turban wrapped around his head, and a pair of rose-tinted, silver-framed glasses. Personality: Crude, crass, and cutthroat, Charles, or Charlie, as he prefers, freely gives his affection, until the slightest offense is taken. Possesses a bandit-esque mentality, fond of using violence to get his way, quite lewd, slightly immature, and strongly favors anyone he knows well. Very susceptible to his vices, which are numerous. Enjoys singing and bare knuckle brawling. Name: Jennifer Lupus, {Three Tears} Class: Thief Gender: Female Age: 26 Appearance: Cropped, dark purple hair, of a shade that, depending on the lighting, can resemble black or red hair. Blue-eyed. Petite in almost every way except for her eyes, she keeps up a fit body, though she splits time between working on her flexibility and strength. Branded, her brand is on the back of her right hip, but is covered in tribal tattoos of the same color, that spread out to her belly button and spine, as low as her kneecap and as high as the bottom of her breast. Wears a maroon cloak over her light armor in combat, and over her street clothes too, though she turns it inside-out to show off a dark blue color. Prefers loose-fitting tunics. Wears a mask at times that she helped design, it bears three tear marks below the left eye, with a black 3 next to them. On the left side, a butterfly wing pattern is carved, barely noticeable until closely observed. The mask is mostly a dark blue. Personality: While she shares some of Charlie's violent mindset, Jennifer, or Jenny, is much less volatile, and even enjoys thinking on intellectual matters, such as the repercussions of stealing or the practicality of fighting. As a result, she does most of the thinking for the duo, and takes responsibility for most of their problems. Much more closed off with her affections, and much more mature. Very competitive, afraid of heights. Enjoys poetry and lyricism, along with playing the lute. Her daughter's future is among her priorities, but she insists the child is strong, and will be fine regardless of her own fate in the war. Cares little for her Branded status or her deceased wolf mother, but hides the fact for simplicity's sake. Background: Growing up in a small town, both born to merchants, Charlie and Jenny were raised side-by-side, and received a decent bit of schooling before they decided to disregard this together. The two largely bonded over shared interest in music and debauchery, but never grew closer than friends. Jenny would cite this as simply not in their interests, while Charlie would switch his story up between "Because she said so" and "Because I know her better than that." As they grew, the two tried several trades, going from failing musicians, to labourers, to failing merchants, to bandits. As bandits, the two felt accomplished, but disliked the leaders when they were followers, and disliked the followers when they were leaders. The two decided to go at it alone after a time, which they manage mostly by con artistry and quiet jobs, occasionally numerous easy ones. Upon hearing about the rebellion, they decided it sounded glorious and fun, and aimed to sign up, hoping the bounties on their heads, listed under their aliases, might earn them respect and decent work with the rebels. Starting faction: Rebels Personal goal: To live life how they want, which mostly involves lazing about, making music, fighting, and drinking, without the government being asses. Theme: youtu.be/PfsdiIuUTgE

Now these two are splendid characters. I honestly can't wait to see them in action.

~(*o*~) Name: Amelia Sacraria Class: Dark Mage Starting faction: Rebels Gender: Female Age: 23 Appearance: A Beorc with bright blonde hair, generally worn with a loose ponytail and her bangs swept to the sides, where they fall down her shoulders. Her face is very angular, with a pointed chin and nose, and her eyes are sharp too, their icy blue irises drawing as much attention as the pupils seem to give out. Her lips maintain a deep, purplish hue, in and out of the cold. Her body is slightly underweight, but more fit than the average citizen. Very pale skin. Always wears an astrakhan hat, a large, somewhat loose fur coat over her clothes, and mukluks, all made of dark grey wolf fur. Personality: As cold emotionally as she often is physically, Amelia prizes functionality above all else. This has led her to be very studious and hardworking, but with little in the way of friends, or even exposure to informal social activity for the most part, not that she's bothered by it. She fully acknowledges and curses Beorc's inferior bodies, and even Branded to some extent, but considers the Laguz cultures to be simplistic, thoughtless, complacent, or some mix thereof, and thusly looks down upon them in general, while seeking to make up for the Beorc's deficiencies as best they can. Believes Laguz should be working class, while Branded should be bred as much as possible. Background: A village girl from a small, Beorc-filled town, her parents taught her dark magic. Naturally cold after an accident in the mountains. Joined the rebellion knowing full well Beorc stood little chance against Laguz armies without magic. Personal goal: Domination and exploitation of the Laguz Theme: youtu.be/LtW5z7_M1uk

I really should get around to posting in the RP again. I've been brainstorming what I could do. Hrm.

I'm at a split in decision-making. At once I want to create two new characters, but I'm not sure if they would upset the delicate balance between the characters I have already out. I sorta feel like I would know what I'm doing better if this wasn't similar to Tellius, and was more along Magvel or Akaneia's lines of FE. I believe that might be one factor in my hesitation for writing. Laguz and Beorc are interesting, but a tedious concept to work out.
In any case, how much freedom do we have with city-making and things like border-cities, duchies, and other stuff for humans? Or freedom with lore, CDM? Possible to make a human kingdom that once existed? Establish some power bases for humans that aren't in the rebellion?
I feel like we're restricted in terms of what we can work with, but free in terms of imagination and plots. I can probably work one character in and scrap the other if I have more information on freedom. RPs are a two-way road, and you mostly have to work together with them.

I'm fine with - actually want people to start - making cities, towns, lakes, rivers, forests, etc, etc.
As for lore, kingdoms that already existed... the only lore you have to go on is a children's fairy tale. Who knows how true that is.
As far as a human kingdom that once existed, I'd be fine with it. Like some Selsen guys were like "we've had enough, we want a home in rabbit land" and conquer a bunch of territory before the bunnies do what they do best and make a huge army a few generations later and stomp it.
And as far as politics between the current countries go, the only things set in stone are that Selsen is secretly supporting the rebellion and that a lot of the older countries like dragon-land or lion-world still dislike Solgen for once being a huge juggernaut of a country.
I already have all my pieces in place, so I'm not going to restrict much of what people decide to do unless it's really far out there.

Oh... Actually, there I go, saying my pieces are all in place, when I've forgotten to introduce a new concept like 10 times these last few weeks. Holy weapons. Exist. ...And I'm trying to decide who has what and where. And also name them. Anyway. All of the countries aside from Solgen had one, but where they are now's something that needs deciding, with the intent of them coming into play for PC characters late game. But for the first bit, it's going to be the story of how the rebellion became a serious enough threat that either side would be interested in looking for these sorts of artifacts. They are...
A sword An axe A lance A bow A flame tome A light tome A dark tome A staff A beast claw A bird talon A dragon fang
Predictable, right?

I see. I've already created phoenix-land, and I'll finish developing it once I get my other works oraganized and settled. I think I have an idea for a human country that once hosted an ancient kingdom. It's a little plot bunny. I hate to admit it, but I am terribly fond of places with hot climates. You seem to be giving us free reign on things like that. I'm about to see what I can come up with.
I'll start work on the character immediately, and the land as well.

Wait, how would Laguz "holy weapons" work? Assuming we're using the same "system" as Tellius, Laguz don't "equip" new weapons. Cause they kinda can't. Makes sense, ya know?

I'll refrain from any holy weapon. I'm a bit wary of those. And like Martin, I'm a fan of the underdogs that manage to kick the asses of those with such weapons through careful planning. Or outdo them.
Is it possible to create our own special weapons and such?

Using it to transform, like a reusable laguz crystal, into a heightened beast form... thing. But Royal Laguz are already at the pinnacle of strength, presumably. So how would that work? Would my OP dragon just transform into Lol!Grima or something? Since he'll already be on Dheginsea's level of power by late game.

*Shrugs* I'll take that as a yes towards creating our own unique weapons. Very well. It will be done.

I didn't say it would be a huge, huge boost, like Dheginsea to Grima levels... The transformation mainly just replaces their equipped weapon, and adds the normal small stat buff to some random skill. Which, since we aren't using actual stats, everyone'll have to work out on their own what exactly that entails. I haven't decided which weapons will buff which stats. To put it another way, think of "using" it as "equipping it" as you transform. ...Why are we getting bogged down in the mechanics?
