I call fixed battles then. Games do that a lot to explain why X character lost.
X wasn't at his full strength, so that's how Y was able to beat him/her, or X was tired, and a group led by Y was able to defeat him/her.

Clarification: Of all three countries in Biessel, Solgen was the only one with a significant mixture of beorc and laguz. Most are almost entirely composed of a single race. Of note, Selsen (I think I'm going to change that name) is the largest country of beorc. They openly back the rebel cause.
On branded. They used to be relatively common, and not treated favorably or unfavorably. After - that conflict needs a name - after the former capital was destroyed, they became outcasts, to a degree, and much less common. Most laguz think they're better than pure-blooded beorc, so branded can expect to be a bit higher on the political food chain, some even having minor positions on councils or small-town mayorships. Beorc typically resent them.

Hm. We also need a name for this after we find a theme for this RP. Branded are cool. I'm fond of them for some reason. They remind me of better version of half-manaketes.
Anyway, I'm leaning between both sides. One one hand, I want a character that can actually transform into something because I've never had a character in an RP that can do that, and on another, I just like branded in general. This is a difficult choice. Hm. Hm... Hm!

Laguz characters CAN side with the rebels. Even if a lot of the members hate laguz, their stated purpose is equality. Rebel laguz will face some prejudice, but other rebels who actually want equality will balance it out enough to prevent any outright infighting.

I was planning on my dragon aiding the rebels, actually.

It's been forever since I read up on laguz, but Heron laguz are the ones with wings that lived in Serene's Forest, right? I might join if you guys can tell me all I need to know about them.

On another note, full-blooded Laguz normally have animal-like appearances compared to Dragon Laguz, who look a little more human in human form. For example, full-blooded Herons have angel wings.
Branded have marks on their bodies, and a brand. Most typically have a special power that they can use, and beorc can't. There are a few key ones in Tellius, but that contains spoilers unless someone else knows a non-spoiler Branded?

Hey, if GX's character is a good girl/gal/lady/guy?/whatever, she'd be a Hero-n.

Oh look, your RP just suddenly got a lot more popular, CDM. Yup, those are the Heron Laguz. They aren't fighters, and they don't do combat, but they can use ancient Galdr, which is basically Song Magic. They look like Angels in human form and... Well, giant Herons in Heron form. I'll link you to the wiki page on them, as well as a vid or two showing their appearance and what they can do in action.

So, this takes place in a different world than the other games, right?

I should also mention Branded to my knowledge can pass off as beorc with ease. They don't really have any animal-like appearances; just a simple brand.

To answer a question Fen PM'd me publicly, if you want to run a class not on that chart linked to in the... 3rd post? You'll need to make it yourself. Equippable weapons, promotions, skills, description, and stats. Though the stats only need to be add complicated as HP:A, str:D, mag:S, etc.
Neo, can you do that for Heron for GX? Unless she wants to do it.

NVM. Fen-Fen ninja'd me on the wiki part. Branded actually don't have any "special" powers, Fen-Fen, since Laguz lose their powers if they sire a child with a human. Micaiah is a unique case. Her powers aren't because she's Branded.

Does this have anything to do with being descended from Sephiran, or is this because she's the real Apostle?
