"She's about as subtle as a punch to the face," Jerid whispered to Nalia.
"Which may be just what Hecate needs," Nalia whispered back. She shifted to better face the newcomer. "So, Ammy, tell us about yourself. Where do you come from?"

Rosa lets out a long and exaggerated groan. "You know what I am sick of just walking around and not doing anything," Rosa said as she got up and stomped the ground. "I am Rosalina, daughter of the world's greatest shaman and worlds greatest enchanted and just walking around and not getting a chance to punch someone's lights out is boring," Rosa huffed. "You know what I am going to take a nap until something happens," Rosa said storming off in search of something.
"Rosa wait we are about to leave umm how can you get back to the guild if your sleeping.
"You ask too many stupid questions," Rosa said as she came back with four small blocks.
"Umm what can you do with tho.... I had to ask," Conker sighed as four tiny wooden golems were looking at Rosa awaiting orders.
"Miss Rosa where ready to serve," the adorable little wooden Golems said in unison.
"Okay these people are forcing me to walk again but I am tired of walking you four carry that Leaf over there," Rosa called out as the golems went to go get the leaf. "Night y'all, Conker wake me if something interesting happens," Rosa said as she went to sleep on the giant Leaf.
"You heard the boss, lets put some wood into it......doods," Grace (the cute little golem who decided to take a tiny piece of the leaf and make a bow out of if).
"Umm great just great she might be the first person asked to leave or kicked out of the Alicorn Guild," Conker sighed as he made his way towards the other members.
"Mom, dad, Conker hopefully I can make you proud of me," Rosa mumbled in her sleep. Rosa began dreaming of the day from her past. The day held great meaning to her and it was one of the most important days of her life. The dream she was having was the day she convinced her dad Bob aka The Builder as he is affectionately refered to took her out on one of his jobs and she fell in love with gear enchanting

"...I was going to suggest asking a few more people around the docks, but I guess we should just head back to the guild. Maybe the others have checked in?" Vallory says. The sound of footsteps snaps Leon out of his daze. He can hear his cell partner rolling out of bed, as well.
"Time for dinner," the same voice from the morning says gruffly. Leon's completely unsure how long it's been, though his hunger makes him think it may have been longer. "Since you were so good this morning, I went out of my way to save you a few drops of stew and a whole loaf of bread. Aren't I just the nicest?"
"Y-yes sir... Th-thank you sir...! So much..." Dana says. Leon can hear the emotion flooding out of her voice. Her sincerity is... shocking.
"Um... Thank you..." Leon says.
"Oh? Sounds like someone isn't properly grateful." A sound like a bowl clattering to the ground and liquid splashing to the ground. "Whoops. Clumsy me," he says, unconvincingly. "Oh, this is a tripping hazard. I'll just mop it up with this bread."
Dana chokes back a sob.
"Hm... We should mop more often, this floor's filthy. Well, at least you'll still get your stew," the man says. A dull thud comes from the center of the cell, followed by the sound of the man walking away, partly masked by restrained sniffling.
Dana shuffles over to Leon. "I'm... I'm so-" Leon tries to apologize.
A hand digging into his shoulder stops him. The grip is... weak, and Leon notices just how frail her fingers feel. "Don't..." she whispers. "Don't... say anything... Just... eat..."
"I'm not... hungry," Leon lies. "You... you should-"
Dana stuffs a chunk of bread into his mouth. "Stop talking... Please..."

Immediately upon hearing Nalia's query, Verala began sifting through backstories she'd sorted out in the past. Bigger cities would make the people who legitimately came from the area not knowing me make more senss. Florist for certain. We just came from Ambrosia. Big enough city that linking myself to the guild won't be an issue. The guild, and what led me there, are the only things that really need to be covered up. Telling the truth for the rest will be easiest.
"Well, I was born near Rosebud Hills, but I basically grew up in Ambrosia. It's an easy place to lose yourself in, I'm sure you noticed. Mother and father were farmers, but I preferred flowers, so..." "...unfortunately, I wasn't able to see the final day of the festival. I'd like to return someday." Looking out the window as the train came to a halt, Verala realized they were in Harborshore. "Oh, I suppose this is our stop. Since we've the same destination, but I'm new in town, I suppose I'll let you all lead?"

"Oh, of course!" Nalia says, tossing her arm around Amaryllis' shoulder. "Right this way!" They make their way through the city, and Nalia cheerfully points out several of her favorite stores and restaurants. Finally they reach the guild hall. "Well, this is it, Ammy! Your new home!" "It may not be the biggest, but it's not the house that makes the home, right?" Jerid laughs. He reaches for the door to throw it open dramatically, but a voice from behind stops him. Vallory, Rosa, and Atticus are just returning to the guild. Vallory greets them enthusiastically. "Welcome home! Er... Who... is this?"
2edgy scene warning. Edge-light summary version: BW's leader shows up and is a total dick, explaining that while he can't hurt his oh-so-valuable hostage physically, he can hurt him vicariously. He then breaks Dana's finger because of Leon's "bad behavior" earlier. full version: Leon is surprised to hear footsteps approaching again so soon, and more than one set. Dana whines nervously and seems to spring to her feet. "Be... Behave..." she warns him.
"So, this is our guest?" a new voice asks. It definitely belongs to a male, someone a bit older, and it positively exudes authority. "My apologies for not introducing myself earlier." The sound of the cell door opening. Two people walk in, and Dana takes a few steps back. One of the two newcomers advances on her.
"Why're you running?" the usual jailor's voice asks. "We're just here to have a little chat."
"Y... Yes, sir..." Dana groans.
"Now, I hear there was a little problem down here earlier? You tried to start a fight?" Older voice asks Leon.
"What? Of cou-"
The sound of a slap, and Dana grunting. "Yes, sir or no, sir. That's all I want to hear from you," Older voice says coldly.
"No, sir..." Leon answers.
"You're calling me a liar?" Jailor asks.
"Hmph. Well, you've been known to stretch the truth from time to time. We'll give him the benefit of a doubt and let them off with a warning," Older voice says diplomatically. "Now, Guest, Dana explained how this works, right? What happens when you misbehave?"
"I- No, sir," Leon answers.
"Really? Interesting. Dana..."
"I'm sorry, I told him to behave, I- nnngaaaaah!"
"W-what are you doing!?" Leon calls out. "Stop!"
"That's not your concern," Old voice says, speaking just loudly enough to barely be heard over Dana's screams. "Since she's been too lazy to do her job, I suppose I'll have to. Now, you're a valuable little asset to us. A big, hefty paycheck. And we're not about to risk harming you, now are we? Dana, on the other hand, is just another member of our guild. A useless mouth to feed. Alive purely by our mercy. Isn't that right, Dana?"
She stops screaming. "Y-yes... sir...!" she sobs breathlessly. "Yes, sir, b-by... By your mercy, sir..."
"Right, then. I think you can see where this is going, Guest? If you cause trouble, Dana here's the one that pays the price. Oh, I recognize that look. I suggest you wipe that scowl off your face, for her sake. ...That's better. Now. For making me come down into this filthy dungeon for some trivial crap, I'm breaking a finger."
"No!" Leon blurts out. Dana just whimpers. There's a loud snapping noise, and Dana starts whimpering louder. "That's 'no, sir.' You make me come back down here, and I'll break the rest of the arm," Old voice threatens. "Keep pissing me off and I may have to get a bit creative. And if you so much as think about trying to escape... Haha, oh, Dana knows what'll happen if you try to escape. She'll probably try to stop you, in fact. By the way, you'll be here for a month or more, so I suggest you try to stay on your caretaker's good side. Keep her alive, at least, even if you don't actually care about her." There's a sound of a body - Dana's, based on how light it sounded - hitting the floor, then two sets of retreating footsteps, followed by the door slamming shut, and the steps continuing down the hall. Dana's whimpering slowly quiets down. "Dana, are you...?" Leon asks. "D-don't... J-j-just... don't... s-say anything..."

Hecate raised her finger to her teeth—an old habit. "I'm afraid I don't really know you well enough to give you a nickname, "Hecate answered. "So I guess you won't get one from me."
Hecate was glad that Vallory spoke up when she did. It didn't occur to the Iron Dragon Slayer that she had answered Verala's question later than when she had asked her. She offered her silence then, but not now. Now, she wouldn't have to face her or talk to her.

"I certainly hope the rest of your guild will be so kind, I'd hate to leave a town like-"
Looking back, what she assumed to be guildmates approached. Verala paid special attention to the druid resting atop a colossal leaf, that was hefted along by small wooden golems. Another plant mage..? "Hello, my name is Amaryllis. I'm a plant mage who was hoping to join the guild. A pleasure to meet you!"

Once upon a time... There was a young maiden who wore a red cloak everywhere she went. For this reason, she was known as Little Red Riding Hood. Thanks to the Big Bad Wolf, she almost had one bad day, but this is not her story. It's not even the kind of story that should start with Once upon a time really. However, there is a young maiden wearing a red cloak and someone who fights with the power of the Wolf...
Lullaby City, Commercial District: Mid-Afternoon
"We traveled how far east for one job?" an amiable man in a red coat questions his shorter partner in a red cloak.
"Not as far as we went south I can assure you." she states with a coy tone.
"Man, it's just, a three day train ride to the City of Gentle Nights isn't exactly something I can get excited about. I doubt we could even find a seedy underbelly to this town, let alone one run by a Dark Guild." They both start window shopping as they continue down a mapped path.
"Hmmmmm," Fate ponders as they pass a magic store across the street from a pawn shop. "Well if you need stimulus there, is a Festival happening here in two days. That's why most of the citizens are preparing Piano Park. They say the Song of Stars Festival celebrates the tale of a young heron named Sonnet, who soothed the rampaging demon Dethgrowl with her enchanting flute. Even after the weakened demon was chased out by a local mage named Samuel, she still pursued it into the night, so as to prevent it's menacing power from ever striking her home again. Some say she played so long they were both lulled into an endless sleep deep inside the nearby caves. Others think her spirit is still pursuing his out among the stars. I can't say if it's anything more than just a myth, but they are suppose to have incredible food served all day." They now pass a cute boutique as they approach their destination.
"A girl who spend her life chasing a demon... reminds me of someone I know. Perhaps more devoted."
"Are you trying to imply something?" she chides Musica.
"Only that whenever you pick the mission, we always go out looking for a bad guy trying to play demon."
"If we find the demon king, that might just stop altogether."
"What a shame if we do. I'm really gonna miss those dramatic speeches." They finally reach a 2-story building proudly displaying "Sylph Wing" with the guild mark right above it.
"All that is concern for another time Musica." Fate says while pulling down her cloak's hood. "For now let's check into base and go meet our employer."

"They say the mansion's previous in inhabitants died mysteriously, and their spirits linger there. That has been more than enough to drive away potential buyers over the years. I don't know much about it, but Rhys does. He'll tell you everything you may possibly ever wish to know about it and the stories surrounding it, and more. You know how he tends to get carried away with things like that," Eden said as she gave a small but genuine smile.

Orion returns her smile. "Maybe so, but that's why we love him, isn't it? I'll ask him once we get home. As much as I like staying at the Guild, I would prefer to have a place of my own. Somehow I don't think any spirits would give me much trouble."
He finishes his coffee, and turns to look out the window, as miles and miles of countryside and farmland passed by. It was odd to think, seeing that view, that not too far from here was a vast desert. Aselia really is such an odd, wonderful land.
Orion's contented smile abruptly faded as he watched a great darkness, unseen to most, descend from the heavens. Like a sudden cloud of mist it descended upon the mountains, enveloping them, and rolled down onto the farmlands, covering the air in a thin blanket of white. Orion's face darkened considerably, though he did his best to conceal it for Eden's sake. He would recognize that mist anywhere.
I-Impossible... Why show themselves now? It doesn't make any sense... But this... This changes everything. What do I do? Should I contact Zalia? Ask for help? Maybe if the High Council is alerted- no. That won't change anything. We're on our own.
He closes his eyes for a moment, as his head suddenly begins to throb. This isn't good... Her magic is affecting me.
"Eden, I'm not feeling so well. Maybe I could show you around on the return trip home? I think I should rest for a bit."

As Senna rested comfortably in her cabin, her pillow over her face, the train suddenly began to slow, and then screeched to a halt. Sighing, she tossed the pillow aside and stood up.
What now?
She slipped into her boots and opened the door, and promptly found herself staring across the hall at an annoyed Gareth. Before either of them could speak, the train's intercom blared to life.
Due to a sudden outbreak of unusually dense fog, we will be forced to layover in Guardstone Village for an unknown amount of time. We apologize for the inconvenience. The Conductor will notify you twenty minutes prior to departure should you wish to visit the village. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.
Senna audibly groaned. "Great. Just great. I'm going back to bed. If we aren't moving in an hour, Gareth, come wake me. We'll head into town and see if we can find a cab to Neville."
She turned on her heel and closed the door behind her, then threw herself back down on the bed. At least the beds are nice.

Gareth watched Senna storm back to her room after hearing the intercom. He internally sighed.
Someone's not a waking up person. This really is annoying, though. The others might already deal with the wyvern at this rate.
Gareth turned and decided to wander around the train a little to stretch his legs.

While on the way back to the guild Rosa was sleeping on her leaf hammock which was being carried by the wooden golems. Rosa was dreaming of the day she fell in love with magical enchanting.
16 years ago.......dood
A young girl named Rosalina van Helen is going with her dad to her first work site today. "Remember when we get there your only suppose to watch," an older man told Rosa. The man had short black hair and a black goatee, he was muscular built and was above average height, he was wearing a simple shirt with overalls.
"Okay dad I just can't wait to watch my first time on your work site, its so exciting," Rosa said with much glee. "To think to be able to weild both magic and machine oh the endless possibilities," Rosa said. "To think I get to watch the great Bob the Builder in action," Rosa said.
"Whoa now don't get ahead of yourself young lady, magical enchanting is very hard work and it takes years of training and dedication, hard work and..... Rosa?" Robert said as he noticed Rosa wasn't around. "Rosa where are you, great we aren't even at the sight and she's gone Sandra is going to kill me if anything happens to her," Robert said while walking in circles.
"Hey daddy look what I found isn't he cute," Rosa said as she had a squirrel in the palm of her hands.
"Sigh, you need to pay attention Rosa, if something happens to you.....," Robert was saying to Rosa when he noticed her starting to tear up. "Fine, fine its okay sweetie just pay attention to what's going on okay," Robert said as she picked up Rosa and her new friend. "Well she certainly has her mom's gift with animals and nature, one day my daughter you will be both the greatest enchanter and shaman ever," Robert thought to himself.
"So sweetie what's the name of your friend?" Robert said.
"His name is Conker daddy," Rosa said to her dad.
Current Time.....
"Rosa, Rosa time to get up," Conker told Rosa. "We're here and it looks like we got somebody new in the guild," Conker told Rosalina.
"Yawn that was a great nap hey, you said we got a new person here, that means I am no longer the newbie yay," Rosalina said as she sprung awake.

After half an hour of strolling around the train and another half hour and five minutes to sitting and reading magazines laid next to the seats, Gareth went back to his room, gathered all of his belongings for the trip, and then went over to Senna's front door. He waited another minute to allow some additional sleep before knocking on the door.
"It's been an hour!" he yelled. "The mist's still pretty think out there. I don't think we're moving."

Eden looked out of the window, and then back at Orion. "Does this have anything to do with the ominous fog that just appeared? If it does, or even if it doesn't... you know where to find me if you want to talk. Get some rest and feel better, alright?"

Orion softened visibly, and smiled. For a moment, he actually considered telling her everything, right then and there. ...I wish I could tell you everything, Eden... But not yet.
"Alright. Thank you, Eden."
He stood up to head back to his room, and just as he did so, the train began to slow and the intercom crackled to life.
"Attention all passengers, due to a sudden outbreak of dense fog, visibility has been reduced below advisable limits. We will be stopping at a nearby Imperial Outpost for an undertermined amount of time. We apologize for the inconvenience. As soon as visibility has reached advisable levels once again, we will leave immediately. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience."
"It may be a while before the train can move again," Orion says to Eden. "But hopefully the fog will clear soon. Come wake me if anything changes, alright Eden?"
After she promises to do so, he heads back to his cabin and shuts the door behind him. He shrugs off his cloak and takes a seat on the floor in front of the window, closing his eyes.
… I don't know why they're trying to prevent us from reaching Jurian. Is this because of me? Or is something else going on? Regardless... I have to do something about it. I'm the only one who can.

"Why does a train need visibility?" Grigori wondered aloud. "Don't they run on tracks? And aren't they nearly impossible to stop due to how heavy they are?"

Aselia, the Northern Plains
The mid morning sunlight glistened off the man's black armored riding suit. He checked his watch. They should be here soon.
Behind him, a custom scarlet airbike with gold markings, fit for two, stood motionless, awaiting its owner's command. Around him, the windswept Emerald Plains stretched on for miles in every direction. A great shadow abruptly fell over the plains, blotting out the Sun, and the man lifted the visor of his black helmet and looked up, squinting slightly.
Impossibly silent and yet as loud as a stadium crowd at the same time, the giant warship Zenithra slowly began its descent, whipping up a tremendous wind across the plains. As the crimson leviathan landed and stilled, a latch opened at the bottom, and a long walkway extended out to the ground. The man closed his visor and moved to greet the two women who emerged from the belly of the beast. One he knew well; the beautiful, incomparable, and cunning goddess of thunder, who also happened to be his employer. Her long golden hair trailed behind her like a waterfall of golden silk, and her white coat billowed about her in the wind. The other he only knew from rumors and whispers; the goddess of death, they called her, the reaper of man... Who also happened to be his client. She was equally as beautiful as Athena, if not more so, and despite their very different appearances, the two appeared very similar. But just from a glance, he could tell there was a distinct, fundamental difference between the two, that went far deeper than hair color or looks. One still had compassion.
"Lady Thanatos," Athena began, grinning. "Meet my right hand man, Knight."
-------
Senna was already awake and dressed when Gareth knocked on her door. She quickly gathered her things and threw on her cloak, then opened the door and joined Gareth out in the hall. Seeing he was ready to go as well, she merely motioned for him to follow, and walked towards the nearest exit.
The air was humid but cool as they headed into town. Guardstone village was a small, cozy little town, with a population of only a few hundred, known for the abnormally large, partially buried Lacrima Crystal in the center of town, which has long since protected the village from monsters. The locals called it the Guardstone, hence the town's name. Most of the town's business came from tourism, since they were situated right on the Imperial Highway, but the Guardstone attracted quite a few scholars and wizards as well. The Empire declared the Guardstone to be soley the property of the village many years ago, during the reign of the previous Emperor, which the current Emperor has always upheld. Due to the town's location on the highway, as well as the small military post in town and the local Warrior Guild, Ogre Eye, not to mention the size of the crystal, the town hasn't seen many theft attempts.
After dragging Gareth around town for an hour looking for a place to rent a car- and finding nothing- they had an early lunch in a small cafe, while Senna looked over a detailed map of the region.
"This could be... Tricky," Senna admitted, carefully taking a sip from her coffee mug. "There's only one real way up the mountain, and that's the train. We could head to Nevilletown, which would only take us a few hours on foot, and from there, we could rent a vehicle and drive to Harthford town- I know some people there, including someone who knows a relatively safe foot trail up the mountain. That work for you, Gareth?"
------
Sweat trickled from Orion's brow. The runes on his back glowed fiercely beneath his clothes. He grit his teeth.
I accessed my powers before, even if it was an accident... I can do it again. I have to. I have to... So much is at stake. I need... I need my Macro.

Senna nodded, and tucked the map back into her bag. She took her time finishing her lunch, and after several much needed refills of coffee, she paid their bill and stood to leave.
The fog was still as dense as ever when Senna and Gareth walked back outside. Senna shivered slightly and pulled her cloak tight around her. Something about this fog feels... Unnatural.
She briefly stopped at the General Goods store to replenish their supplies, and then headed north along the dirt road leading away from town, out into the open plains.
"This would go a lot faster if you'd let me carry you," Senna said suddenly, grinning slightly. "But something tells me you wouldn't appreciate that very much. What made you join Silver Chimera, Gareth? If you don't mind me asking."
