Abyss held a locket in his hand as he laid hidden in the deck of the ship before pressing his other hand against the ship before the wood seemingly pieced itself back together, repairing the ship.
"You're going to have to try better than that." The voice echoed through the ship again.
---
"That's him." Grigori whispered as he froze in fear as Orion reached the park.
Shogun steeled herself as she gazed fiercely at Orion, barely holding herself back from springing their ambush early.

Before Eden even could begin to divine her instincts had already told her that she and Orion were in danger. She wanted so much to be able to look around and find the source of the threat, but she knew if she hestitated and showed any signs of suspicion that whoever was watching them would likely choose to strike. She would have to be very careful, because even if she know they were coming and would have a chance to defend herself, Orion wouldn't.
"I've never been able to see the past, that's true, but... I've rarely tried. The last time I tried it was when I was very young, when I was trying to learn more about... the past," Eden said to Orion, before she began to lie, knowing that Orion would realize that she was doing so deliberately "I'm going to try it. Even if I can't make it work, I have to try. I don't know how long this might take. It may be several minutes, but you have my back and you'll keep an eye out for any signs of where Zalia is, right?"
After Orion nodded, both as an answer to her question and to confirm that he had gotten the message Eden created a small pool of water on the ground. She seemed to take a moment to gather her thoughts, then she spun around in a complete circle before kneeling down and placing one hand on the water's surface. While it had appeared to have been part of her technique for divining the entire point of her actions were to give her a way to survey the park without raising suspicions, and it had been worth it. At the edge of the park was a well concealed area, that anyone else might have overlooked, but she recognized the signs of Grigori's handiwork. After placing her other hand in the water it began to glow faintly, and a very thin and straight line of water began to grow along the ground, expanding in the opposite direction of the Aboleth Tentacle members' cover. After it extended until the end of it could no longer be seen a pulse of energy was sent along it, again away from Aboleth's hiding place. Everything was calm as Eden stood up again, but then stumbled and fell into Orion's arms, though that too was intentional, and as she gripped his arm tightly she could only hope he knew that she meant to hold on. Seconds later a wave of water came crashing through from the direction she had sent her spell, and headed straight towards the enemy too quickly to be avoided, as Eden braced herself because they too would be caught in the wave.

"Northern Lights: Borealis!" Orion shouted, as he tightened his arms around Eden and shot up into the air, rising high above the wave, as it crashed down onto the park with crushing force.
Quick thinking, and good instincts... That's my girl.
As he hovered in the air, four golden seals appeared around him, and four golden spears of light emerged. "Stay close," he whispered to Eden. "They may try to separate us. Don't give them the chance. And remember, no matter what happens, you aren't alone."

"Requip: Moses Staff!" Shogun boomed as she armored herself in wooden faux-samurai gear and slammed a cudgel towards the earth, causing the wall of water to split before Grigori waved his left hand in a crescent above his head.
"Starlight Flash!" A bright white light disguised the pair's movements for a brief moment, but before it disappeared, the two seemed to had left as well.

I can sense his fear... So he's the one. The one who injured Eden. That damn Jester... I should have killed him when I had the chance. What if he tells Eden what he saw...? No, even worse... What if he blabbed his mouth, and word of it got back to Nebilim? They could be coming for me any day now... I would have to leave Silver Chimera... Damn him! Damn him! DAMN HIM!!! It's all that damn Jester's fault! I'll KILL him!!!
Orion landed on the main road, not far from the park, and gently set Eden down. A silent rage snapped and crackled within him, and his usually bright, cheery blue eyes were as cold and dark as the ocean floor.
"Leave this to me," he said quietly to Eden. "I can handle these two clowns myself. Someone needs to find Zalia, and you're the only one who can do it."
-----
Some kind of repair magic...? I've never heard of anything that could do that, except... No, his magic doesn't feel anything like Lucien's. Which leaves... Illusion Magic? If that's the case... Then all the damage I've inflicted on the ship is still actually here, and eventually, he'll be forced to confront me to stop the ship from sinking. But that would leave me at a severe disadvantage in terms of remaining Magic Power...
An idea suddenly struck her, and Velia once again melted into the shadows, racing towards the very heart of the ship. If I can find the Lacrima keeping the ship afloat, and he uses Illusion Magic, he'll be forced to try and stop me. Even the greatest Illusion Magic only distorts reality; it can't create it. He may be able to make it seem like he's repaired the Lacrima, but in the end, the ship will still sink, and the crash will shatter his illusions. If he tries to stop me, or if he still remains so damn nonchalant... Either way, it will give me a clue on the true nature of his magic.
Velia located the heart of the ship in a matter of minutes, and was easily able to bypass security and infiltrate the engine room. She emerged from the shadows and casually approached the giant floating crystal, surrounded by a crackling magic barrier.
"Well?!" She called out tauntingly as she unsheathed her sword again. "Aren't you going to stop me?! I can bring this entire ship crashing down with a single strike!"
She raised her sword, and an ominous black aura surrounded the blade. Her Magic Power suddenly skyrocketed, and the floor trembled beneath her, as Velia prepared to strike.

"Orion, no. You are not going to fight them alone. That's not what Zalia would want," Eden said, holding Orion's arm so he couldn't ignore her and walk away.

Orion started to argue, then something stopped him. He stared at Eden for a long moment, then closed his eyes. No matter what, there are some things that are inescapable... Some inevitable truths that I just can't escape, no matter how long I run... So be it. Then it's time for me to stop running.
He opened his eyes and smiled, gently placing his hand on Eden's arm. "You're right. We'll do this together."

Eden nodded, but she couldn't smile with things as they were. Too many things were bothering her. "There's one thing I need you to know first. The jester isn't the terrible person you might think he is, or at least... he didn't used to be. I don't know everything that they did to him, but he had such a kind soul. Please, let as little harm as possible come to him. He never asked for the life he leads, he was forced into it."

So he's a victim too then...?
Orion closed his eyes for a moment as conflicting emotions raged within him. "Alright, Eden. I'll do my best to only knock him out. But if he hurts you again, all bets are off."

An impossibly long iron pole swung out of nowhere, striking Orion before retracting. Shogun, clad in light armor with golden bands, quickly used her iron cudgel to vault into the air and follow up with another blow.
Behind her, Grigori covered his feet in black stardust before causing it to explode, propelling him towards and past the three, only to explode once more and allow him to tackle Eden from behind at high speeds, separating the two but leaving Eden relatively unharmed.
"You need to get away from him and away from here as soon as possible." Grigori told her in a hushed tone as he released his grip but let her tumble a bit so he didn't seem to be non-hostile to anyone or anything that was watching him.

Orion rebounded with startling speed after the follow up attack, seemingly unharmed. Without hesitation, he immediately went full force. A giant golden seal materialized beneath the warrior, and a massive beam of burning energy shot up to consume her. A silver aura engulfed him as he immediately flew to Eden's side, landing right beside her, his four golden spears already hovering around him.
"I told you they would try and separate us," he said quietly. "We can't give them that chance. Ready, Eden?"

"No!" Shogun screamed before her armor shifted into cloth samurai garb and her staff became a bow.
Shogun let out several simultaneous shots towards Orion as Grigori formed a ribbon of light from his left hand and whipped it around, creating a vacuum effect to knock Orion off balance to prevent him from dodging.

Before the arrows could hit Orion Eden created a wall of water and set it towards the arrows, slowing them down as they passed throw the water until they lostall their momentum and fell to the groudn. The wall continued towards the woman, gaining speed as it did so. Predicting that the woman would try to split the wall of water the same way she had done to the wave Eden purposely split it before the woman could, had each half go around her, then rejoin and slam into her from behind before she could realize what Eden was doing.
"Orion, she's trying awfully hard to kill you. You deal with Grigori, and I'll watch your back. Be careful!"

"Requip: HONDA!" A shout could be heard after the waves collapsed on Shogun.
The almost tank-like armor roared to life as Shogun sped towards Eden this time, swinging an overly-compensating spear at her.

Orion nodded to Eden, then shot towards Grigori at blinding speed, just as the female warrior sped towards Eden, swinging a massive spear at her. Does that fool honestly think such a pathetic, predictable attack has any chance at hitting her?
Orion seemed to fade from view at the last instant, disappearing and reappearing right behind Grigori. "You know full well you stand no chance against me," he said quietly to the Jester. "So why are you here? Is this what you want out of your life? Everyone has a choice... Even us demons."
Before Grigori could say anything, Orion shot up into the air. While he had been standing and talking to Grigori, he had secretly placed a large golden seal around Grigori's feet.
"Demon Cage: Second Incarnation, Chained Cerberus!"
Giant golden chains shot up from beneath Grigori's feet, binding and encompassing his whole body. Even more chains shot up from behind the Jester, taking the shape of a massive three headed dog, which then coiled around Grigori, trapping him.
Orion threw his hand forward, and his four spears rained down around the trapped Grigori, changing into beams of light. Four more spears emerged from the four golden magic seals hovering around Orion, and he waited to see if Grigori could break free.

Hah! By using such a large weapon you're only making this harder for youself! And why would you ever swing a spear? You'd think someone using Requip magic would have made some effort to learn the uses for each type of weapon they use!
Eden waited for the opening she knew was coming, then ducked under the spear and rolled away from the woman. As soon as she came to a stop from the roll she noted that the woman was trying to stop the swing, but she had swung so recklessly and with so much force that there was too much momentum. If she even tried to requip to get rid of the spear and recover from the attack faster she would still have to deal with that momentum, and would end up off balance and possibly fall to the ground. Eden didn't need to divine to see that she had been given a priceless opening, and so she decided not to waste it. Within seconds of her initial dodge she was preparing her spell.
"Water Spirit's Forcefulness," she said as a geyser of water shot up from the ground, tossing the woman high into the air. Eden jumped into the air and boosted herself higher using small jets of water until she was above her enemy, then created a mace with it and dived towards her enemy.

A booming engine roared as Shogun rocketed towards Eden and headbutted the mace into pieces before smacking her away.
"LEAVE!" Her anger was beyond compare before she tried to rush Orion.
Meanwhile, Grigori followed up Shogun's assault by leaping towards Eden and partially coating her in black stardust to lessen her impact.

Orion's own rage exploded as he saw the warrior smack Eden. His Magic Power abruptly spiked, and countless chains erupted from the golden seal on the ground, that had originally been meant to imprison Grigori. The chains shot up to snag Shogun's wrists and ankles, holding her in place for a moment and halting her charge.
"You kind of people make me SICK!!!" Orion bellowed. "You attack US, injure our comrades, and then when WE fight back, YOU get all enraged and claim vengeance!!! And even worse, you take your so-called vengeance out on innocent civilians who had nothing to do with it! That isn't the way the world works, sweetheart! If you can't deal with the consequences of your own actions, then you have no business being a Wizard!!"
He flicked his wrist, and sent her spiraling into the oak tree. He then yanked back on the chains, pulling her back towards him, and threw her crashing to the ground. "Begone!!!" He bellowed again, and unleashed a large beam of energy down towards her while she was still bound by his chains.

"You know nothing!" Shogun shouted, tanking the beam of energy with her ridiculously huge armor. "All I care about is you! You need to pay! You NEED TO DIE!"
The samurai inside the towering suit of armor ripped the golden chains out of the ground before breaking through them and charging Orion once more. However, Grigori intercepted her and planted thick blobs of dust in the joints of her armors behind the knees, slowing her down to a near halt.
"You need to stand down!" Grigori panicked as he jumped on her shoulders and bent over to look her in the face. "You won't be able to take him on like this! You haven't seen how he fights! Go after the girl, and remember what I told you earlier!"

Orion seemingly disappeared and suddenly materialized right behind Grigori and Shogun. His cold, hard eyes were as pitch black as the night itself, and the look in his dark eyes was terrifying. When he spoke, his voice was deadly quiet, and eerily calm.
"This is your last warning. Leave this place. Now. And take the rest of your comrades with you. I have only been fighting at a fraction of my power thus far. If you refuse to comply, then I will begin to fight for real. And I will kill you."
