See, GX? What did I tell you? This is why I wanted a fight scene now, so we could get this out of the way.  Golurk, he doesn't have some crazy, infinite amount of magic. He has more Magic Power than Gajeel and Natsu, because he was specifically trained to have a large magic supply. Natsu and Gajeel weren't trained at all, so it makes perfect sense. Natsu and Gajeel were able to fight in midair for some time, even though they were using Fire and Iron, two types of Dragon Slaying magic that has absolutely nothing to do with the air. And I've already stated in the actual RP that he hasn't fought at full power in years. I don't think I really need to explain more than that. |

It's still on a different level of power.
Plus, they only fought like that due to poor writing. I don't think they ever duplicate that, and neither has been shown to be capable of actual flight. I don't think any other character is seen flying without a specific ability allowing them to.

It's not a different level of power, it's a different skill set and magic type. Orion can fly because that's part of his magic and his training. If Jellal were featured in the Phantom Lord arc, he would still be able to use his Meteor Spell. It's the same principle.
You're arguing for the sake of arguing(Just like always) and frankly, I don't have the time. I'm dealing with something IRL right now.

Flight is always sustained by a certain spell outside of that bout of shonen-ness IIRC.

If Person A has more magic power than Person B, then Person A would logically be stronger except for differences in skill. Orion also doesn't seem to be lacking in that area.

Of course certain people are going to be stronger than others!!! And Magic and Skill aren't the sole factors for determining Power Level!
I've also balanced him really well and explained myself more than I should have! We're only using the Phantom Lord arc for a rough estimate and reference! Obviously, Orion isn't going to be exactly as strong as one of the characters in that arc! Why? Because they're different characters!

You said that we'd use Phantom Lord arc power levels. Natsu and Gajeel are the strongest characters in that arc that participate in actual combat that I remember. Plus, just from the description of one of the abilities recently used, in addition to the fact that he can use it while in the air, suggests that it's more than just a minor difference in power.

It's not stupid. I'd expect that all player characters should be roughly equal in power, and that all players should follow the standards, especially the TC.

I think they have Paralyze Heal They have to run out eventually. It's not like they've been purposely running into Missingno. and have over 250 something left. |
