They just woke up at dawn 30 minutes + some off-screen time ago. So early morning.

So what does Orion eat? Even in-universe, eating fire or metal would be more efficient due to having more energy/mass, since despite being surrounded by shadows and light respectively, Sting and Rogue didn't "fuel up" and regain their strength in the fight against Natsu. Plus, Sting's light is described as a sort of holiness and not just light, so there's probably something else behind it. Does he eat holy water or something? Second and third generation Dragon Slayers are different. Like, Laxus never eats lightning, that poison guy never eats poison (iirc on both), and their elements are rather impractical to eat. Same for Sting and Rogue. First generation Dragon Slayers are the only ones to be shown eating their elements outside of battle. It seems safe to say that, because of their more "natural" powers, they have more dependency and benefit more. It would certainly explain Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy being the only ones to ever really seek their element. As far as I can guess, anyway.

Or you could let Grigori play that part since I have more experience in overprotective boyfriendness. I'm just sad I missed this moment of self-awareness.

#40'sNecroDayDidn't account for this tho. In fact, it kinda changes a lot. I think Golurk and I even argued about if Sting ate light or not at one point, and while I thought he did, now I realize he didn't. And Silver never ate anything. Retcon time! Fortunately, there isn't much for me to retcon, so yay.

Yeah, Dragon Slayer magic is weird.
I still think that Sting eating the polished metal arrow is how he replenished, since he used his roar right afterwards. So, I guess for light you eat shiny or lustrous minerals?

Sting ate the whole arrow, shaft, head, and feathers. Unless it was some kind of holy arrow, I don't see it mattering. Probably the holy thing, or nonsense, given the arrow couldn't have been all one material. I'll go review Cobra. I still stand by Dragon Slayers being particularly apt to it, and first gen moreso.

The arrow was entirely made of metal though, except for the feathers.

Metal being shiny has absolutely nothing to do with Light. Just because it can reflect light does not mean it absorbs light. And even if that were a thing in the canon, it's utter nonsense, and I'm a bit obsessive about my stories making sense. Even if that means deviating from the source canon. So even if it were a thing in the canon, it is definitely NOT a thing in the RP.
This is all kinda moot tho, since I don't think there will ever be a Light Dragon Slayer in the RP. Well, unless I change Velia's backstory a bit... Which I might.

Well, you also can't eat light since it's not matter or anything. Plus, it still makes more sense than eating explosions.

Shadows aren't quite matter either. Guess what Gajeel did, Golurk? The fact he ate the feathers throws it off. And tbh I don't think we can say for certain the arrow shaft was metal.
Watched Natsu v. Cobra. Cobra was already in good condition and didn't seem to improve an awful lot after eating the poison. Meanwhile we've seen Natsu go for near full rejuvenation off of eating fire. I stand by what I said. imo, first generation dragon slayers would be the only ones significantly impacted by eating their element, and might be the only ones capable of eating other elements. Other slayers would still see benefits though, afaik.

What's this about flying? I've never known anyone but the Exceeds and wind mages to fly. Or Cobra's pet. Though these n****s can jump like you wouldn't believe...
