Just thought I might mention that you already have a Dark Tome... It what if we throw it and it breaks or something? I don't see much need for weapons, but..... Fine, Bronze Sword. |

"Let's split up to get things done more efficiently. Dry Bowser will go and get a Primid to help us out on our mission and we'll go see what they have at the weapon shop." "What do we need one of those things for? They seem pretty weak to me." "We can use all the help we can get. Now hurry up and get a Primid." Dry Bowser goes off grumbling and stomping toward different Primids, but most of them are just running away from him in fear. "Great, that'll be a mess. That buffoon will just scare them all off." "It will keep him busy, Vivian. For now, we should go check the shops. Maybe they have something we can use." Iran takes out a bag of gold and shows it to Vivian. "Did you know Dry Bowser was holding 500 gold when we beat him? I took it from him so we could actually use it." "I'm not sure wether to be worried or impressed." The two walk over to one of the small shopping stands set up by a Primid. It waves to them happily as they come over to it. "Most of this just looks like trash." The Primid looks shocked at Vivian's comment and then sadly looks at the ground. "Well, even if it is all garbage, we could still use some. It looks like the only quality items are the Dark Tome and Beam Sword, but we already have a tome and that sword's too expensive..." The Primid's mood worsens and it slams it's face into the counter, just staying there. "I guess we could get the Bronze Sword. It's the only other thing we can actually use." Iran hands the money to the Primid and it accepts it, quickly handing a sword to Iran. "Yes, I think I can use this. It should work well when I need to fight close up, but I'll keep my tome with me most of the time." The Primid is happy to hear that its creation was worthwhile and joyfully jumps up and down. While Iran and Vivian are out shopping, Dry Bowser is chasing around Primids without much luck. "Bwaaaarrrrgh! Hold still!" His loud yelling and stomping isn't helping very much either. He soon gives up chasing them around and stands there with his arms crossed. "No fair! All I want is to catch one of you and force you to join us on a deadly mission! It's not much to ask for!" He then starts to look around for more Primids, but they all seem to have run off. "Graaaaaahhh! Where are they all now!?" Vivian and Iran look over the things at the shop one last time before leaving to return to the meeting spot. "I wonder what's taking him so long..." "He probably got lost. He's that dumb." "You need to work on your people skills. If you keep being so rude, nobody will want to help you take over that city." "That's what my butler's for." "Why is it you even want to control that place? It must be difficult, so it must be a good reason." "Recently, the city has been overrun by Totems. They all struggle for power and kill many people every day. It's pointless. I want to conquer that city to unite the many Totems. It would end our wars. We would have to stomp out all opposition though. Totems aren't forgiving in battles. We must absorb their aura after killing them without much of a choice. As you can tell, this would be difficult, so I had to find a powerful weapon. I disguised myself to fit in with another Totem group in order to join their mission temporarily. We were going to assassinate someone that had a lot of power. A Totem that limited and regulated the flow of aura. With her absorbed, you would gain that power and unleash the true power of aura. Something went wrong though. When I was about to destroy her, a lion jumped ahead and took the blow. It was an unexpected Totem. He was weak after the attack, but used all of his strength left to split the entire area apart with an earthquake. I was lucky to survive. It was then I found a boy knocked out in the snow. He had a strong, white aura. His aura was almost the same as the aura regulator. It was too close to be a coincidence, so he must have been her child. I took him to my house to hopefully find a way to convince him to help me out. Luckily, he had amnesia. I adopted him since he couldn't remember information about his real parents or very much at all. Within two years I had gained a lot of power, but then that boy found out I was lying to him and tried to kill me. Then I found you." "That story was nice and all, but...I think the explanation of why you want to take over the city was lost in it." "Ugh, nevermind! Where's that bonehead?" "There he is." Iran points over to Dry Bowser as he stomps toward the two talking. "All those stupid Pyramids or whatever they are ran away." "What are you talking about? One's following you right now." "Gwah?" Dry Bowser turns around and to his surprise, finds a Primid standing behind him, waving. "Graaahh! Get over here!" Dry Bowser begins to chase Primid around again in rage as Primid taunts him. "This will be interesting..." After an hour or so of gathering themselves together, the group is finally ready. They head on over to Crazy Hand and tell him they're ready. "Ah, YeS. I'lL tRy To GeT yOu As ClOsE aS pOsSiBlE. YoU wIlL hAvE tO gEt PaSt ThE dEkU vIlLaGe ThOuGh. HaVe FuN!" Crazy Hand scoops everyone up and tosses them through a portal while yelling one last thing. "By ThE wAy, ThEy HaTe AnYoNe AsSoCiAtEd WiTh Me!" Chapter 1: The Ancient Ruins The four all land somewhere in a forest. The thick woods comes to a large clearing up ahead with a village. The village has many small, wooden houses and little people are walking around in it. Wait...those people look like...trees. These strange creatures seem to live normal life from what you can see, but there's also an ancient looking ruins in the center you can see. It's quite large compared to the houses. That's probably where the connection is that you need to destroy. Crazy Hand did mention ruins somewhere, right? "Alright, here's the plan. Vivian and I will go on in and make our way through town without drawing too much suspicion. We aren't recognized as those associated with Crazy Hand yet. Primid, you are going to climb around and jump over buildings to sneak your way over to the ruins. Dry Bowser, stay here and watch for anyone suspicious. Alright, let's go."
"Bwa? But how am I even going to tell you if someone's..." Before Dry Bowser can complain, everyone has left. "Hey! Wait a minute! Grrr...I hate being the lookout..."
Iran and Vivian head on into the town together, passing by many Deku Scrubs. Most either wave or say hello, but there's not much interaction beyond that. The plan seems to work well until Iran and Vivian notice Primid overhead, missing a jump to one of the buildings. With a loud crash, Primid falls into the ground and knocks over a couple of trash cans.
"What was that? Hey, look! It's one of those things! Those things that Crazy Hand attacks us with!" A Deku Soldier notices Primid and calls out to others to apprehend him. Two more Deku Soldiers come bouncing in to help out. This wasn't part of the plan. It seems Primid's agility wasn't enough. What are you going to do about it?
Meanwhile, Dry Bowser sits in bushes, lying in wait for...something. "Gwahahaha! They won't see me from back here! Wait...who am I watching for?" Dry Bowser's bush is clearly too small to hide him entirely as there's an obvious shell sticking out over it.
A. Let it go. It's not worth it.
B. We need to help Primid by grabbing him and running to the ruins!
C. Say he's your pet.
D. Fight the officers, get the first strike!
E. Destroy them all! Who needs allies!?

G. Dry Bowser is obviously looking for the Summoners of Light, whom I planned on having you all meet and they consist of a summoner, a wolf, a fairy, and an archer, OBVIOUSLY! Get with the program.

Pie suggested Iran pretending to propose to Vivian to distract everyone. Oh, he also added that afterward they loudly kiss...whatever that means.

(Sorry about not waiting for more votes, but I needed to advance this quickly. The Summoners of Light blazed through that forest really quickly. I ran RNG to decide and arresting Primid won.)
Iran whispers to Vivian nearby. "Hey, I've got a plan." She looks at him confused, but Iran just continues walking toward the Deku Soldiers. "Stand back! These things can be dangerous! Don't worry, I'm an experienced fighter. I can take care of this." The Deku Soldiers step back as Iran walks forward. He quickly takes out his Dark Tome. Primid looks surprised and begins to panic, but before it can do anything, Iran bops it on the head, knocking it out, "It would be wrong to kill him, so you should put him in jail."
"Yes, sir!" One of the soldiers drags off Primid as the other ones cheer happily.
"You two are heroes! How can we ever repay you?"
"Hahaha! No need! I am just a simple traveler and I felt you needed my help."
"You are such a kind person. If you ever need help while you're in town, just call on the Deku people. We would be glad to help."
While Iran and Vivian are busy, Dry Bowser notices something interesting.
"Huh? It's a person!" Dry Bowser sits under his bush, whispering to himself. A Pokemon is carrying off some girl while somebody else follows behind. There's also three other people that come walking toward the town. They're all talking. These leaves in Dry Bowser's face make it hard to see much else. The large Pokemon and the two with it have left the other three already. Then Dry Bowser notices a familiar light. "Gwah? It's that fairy! That stupid thing's one of Master Hand's servants! It must be here to ruin our mission. I have to stop them somehow...I need a better look." He shuffles slowly forward. The three look toward him a moment and Dry Bowser tries to hold still and stay unnoticed. It looks like one is a girl with silver hair. She has a lance. One is someone hidden by a white light. The last is a guy with a bow on his back, writing down stuff in a book. The fairy seems to be flying around the girl and staying by her.
CRASH! Primid wakes up to the loud slam and rattle of a metal door. He's been thrown into a jail cell. The bars are made of metal, but the rest seems to be made of wood. There's someone else here too. It's a Deku Scrub that's asleep. He's got a silly, green hat that's bigger than him and gloves on. He looks kind of sad as he sleeps. Primid also notices that this place isn't a really big jail. This is the only cell and the building is just a small, wooden one. There's also a sign labeled "JAIL".

Dry Bowser notices the group walking toward him. He tries to think of what to do and decides he can take them on by blocking them! He slowly makes his way up onto his feet, staring the silver haired girl right in the eyes. She looks rather surprised when she sees him.
"Gwahahahaaaa! You should see the looks on your faces!"
The fairy flies behind the girl and hides. "Look out! Dry Bowser is one of Crazy Hand's strongest minions!"
"Minion!? I'll show you I'm not just some stupid minion! I'm a king!" Dry Bowser opens his mouth, taking in a breath. The girl grabs her fairy quickly and leaps to the side avoiding the fire blazing from his mouth afterward. "Grahaheh." Dry Bowser moved over to the entrance of the town with his arms out to block it. "Nobody gets in here unless I say so! You'll ruin our mission if you reach those ruins."
"We need to get into that town! Let us through!"
"No way! We need to buy all the time we can! Especially since they didn't bring me along."
"So...they think you're useless here...?" The archer speaks up from behind their leader.
"Whaaaaaaaaaa!? I'm not useless! They left me here because I'm the best guard you've ever seen! You'll never make it through here!"
"We have to make it through there, hero! The village is the only way to the ruins!" The fairy flies out from behind The leader.
"Graaaarrr! Shut up, you stupid fairy! Nobody gets in here! You'll just mess everything up!"
"Maybe we can make a deal." The archer walks up to Dry Bowser calmly as their leader steps backward. "You know, I give you something, you give me something? What is it you'd like?"
"Eh? A deal...like free stuff...MAYBE I'll accept your offer. Let me think what I want..." Dry Bowser holds a claw to his head in thought. "Well, I could ask for a bunch of food. I sure am hungry. Maybe a bunch of money...or big weapons! Hmm..."
Meanwhile in town, Iran and Vivian decline the offer of the Deku people. "No, it's really fine. We don't need a thing!"
Their conversation is stopped quickly though. A big Pokemon that looks like a rock is stomping through the town toward another building labeled "shop". It's carrying a girl that's yelling a bunch of rude things at a man walking behind the Pokemon. As they enter the shop, the man puts up a sign on the door that says "open". The Deku people return to their normal lives after and it seems sort of like nothing happened. Iran and Vivian are able to safely traverse the town now!
Primid is still in jail. It doesn't want to stick around though. Primid runs over to the Deku Scrub and pokes him until waking up. The Deku Scrub looks sleepy and stares at Primid while it tries to explain the situation. The Deku Scrub watches blankly until the end of the explanation. "What are you doing? Oh, I guess you want to break out. It doesn't really work. I've been in here for a few days already. Got caught trying to steal food from the Inn." Primid looks sadly at the Deku Scrub. "Fine, I'll try, but it just doesn't work." The Deku Scrub walks up to the jail bars and spins around as its hat becomes a spiked branch. He bounces off the bars multiple times with loud clanging sounds before attempting to shoot strange bubbles from his mouth at it with next to no affect. "See, nothing?"
Primid is very saddened by being put in jail. He does what he always does when he's sad. Primid pulls out his Pikachu Plush and snuggles it. The soft Pikachu makes Primid feel a little better. He looks around at the windowless prison for another way out. There doesn't seem to be an obvious one. The Deku Scrub starts making bubbles and spitting them at the ceiling in boredom.
DRY BOWSER

E. Wait, I'm getting off track! Nobody gets in! I'll just have to fight you off!

"Alright, gimme your money! C'mon! Hand it over!" Dry Bowser holds out his claw. The archer is told to back off by the girl as she walks up to Dry Bowser. He grins, happy with his great earning of money. He doesn't get what he expected though. She gives Dry Bowser a big hug while he just stares at her dumbfounded. "You know, I'm really sorry for you, Dry Bowser. You should own your own kingdom. It's really mean for them to treat you like a minion. Your awesomeness knows no bounds." Dry Bowser nods and then begins to cry. He places his head on her shoulder, crying loudly. "It's true! I am awesome! Then they just left me here! It's like I mean nothing to them!" "Well we'd never do that! You are the best turtle we've ever met and you're so awesome we decided to give you this as a gift!" She gives Dry Bowser the heavy bag. "All our gold!" Through various sniffles and sobs, Dry Bowser manages to speak. "Thank you. You guys are so nice. Here, I'll let you pass. You're all just the greatest people ever!" A smile appears on Dana's face as she waves goodbye to Dry Bowser and the other three start to walk past Dry Bowser. He starts to shuffle through the bag afterward, moving over a mere 10 gold to reveal a bunch of rocks and grass. "WHAAAAAAT!? BLAAARGH! RAAARRRGH! YOU LIED! SNEAKY LITTLE TRAITORS!" m.youtube.com/watch?v=YhhTWytQR2YDry Bowser releases a blazing fire from his mouth, showering flames around his opponents. He again moves in front of them, blocking the way. Smoke floats from his mouth as he breaths and gazes angrily at the girl. "I TRUSTED YOU AND YOU LIED! BLAAAAAARGGGGH! YOU WILL BURN HERE!" Dry Bowser throws the bag of stones at the four, hitting each of them as rocks fly out. "I thought it would be too easy. Get ready to fight this thing! It's mad!" "I AM NO THING! I AM A KING!" INFO BOX Rival battles can only be fought using custom battle strategies! These may even be harder than a boss battle! On a more relaxing note, the other three aren't having that bad of a time. Iran and Vivian head on into the mysterious shop. Inside, there are many strange objects around. Balls with red and white on them, a machine labeled "eraser eraser", a mask depicting someone with a nice mustache and red hat, and many other things. The man standing behind the counter has red hair, about medium length and his deep blue eyes are fixed on the gold he's counting. His clothes look different than they were just seconds ago when he was walking in the shop. He's wearing something similar to an outfit that an Anna would wear, only made for him to wear, tailored for his body instead of an Anna. Attached to his belt is a large set of keys. They look important. Mostly that shiny key that glows an odd purple color with a strange symbol on it. "Hey, welcome. What are you looking for?" He looks up from the gold pile, swiping it off the counter and sliding it into a drawer. "We sell masks here of all different kinds with many abilities. You name it, we probably have it. It'll be a little more costly depending on what you want, but I'll get it to you." While Iran and Vivian ponder about their choice, Primid gets some answers! Primid walks over to the bubble blower. It then raises its arm in the air and...greets him by waving. Primid sits down with the Deku Scrub and stares at him. After a long time of staring at him, the Deku Scrub decides to talk. "Hi." Primid is pleased by this answer and allows the Deku Scrub to play with his Pikachu Plush. "Huh? What's this? It's cute, I guess." Primid waves its arms around, trying to communicate it wants to be friends. "Oh, you want to be friends. Let's go one step at a time. My name is Deku Link. You probably don't have a name, do you?" Primid shakes its head no. "Well, I'll have to give you one. I can't break out of jail if I don't know your name. Let's see...your name is..." IRAN & VIVIAN Choose 2 A. Buy a mask (specify) B. Dry Bowser starts off by taking his own head off. He then throws it forward, breathing fire. The head bounces around, blazing fire everywhere. The flames reach everyone, but the aura guy seems to have been injured the most from the attack. The fairy looks completely unfazed, if not more energized. The aura guy isn't finished yet. He runs up to the vulnerable head and kicks it into the body. The head just bounces up off of Dry Bowser and the body begins to charge at him. The leader leaps at him, pushing him out of the way and taking the hit for him. She's knocked backward and Dry Bowser positions his head back on his body. The fairy envelopes the girl in a faint light and her wounds are healed. The archer aims an electrical arrow at Dry Bowser, but the arrow deflects off the bones with a clink. Dry Bowser seems like he hasn't even been hit!
Dry Bowser goes inside of his shell while the two he attacked get back to their feet from the attacks. He spins around rapidly as his bones fly out. They all go out at random places, hitting all four of the fighters. The fairy is glowing less brightly, but she restores her health with a flash of light. The girl takes her chance to hit the vulnerable Dry Bowser with a Light Ball. The light blasts apart when hitting Dry Bowser. The scattered bones all shake a bit in pain as Dry Bowser roars. Magic must be his weakness! The other two attack with magic as well, blasting a white aura and a ball of electricity at Dry Bowser. Dry Bowser is able to gather himself together and reassemble.
Dry Bowser starts to attack the same way by going in his shell, but he's interrupted by a storm of magic attacks. Light and electricity flow through him and Dry Bowser falls down. The fairy flies around the guy with the aura with her healing light and fixes his wounds. "Grargh! No fair! You can't heal!" Dry Bowser unleashes a breath of fire. The four heroes are hit, but still stand strong.
Another stream of magic attacks fly into Dry Bowser, knocking him to the ground on his back. He struggles to get up, but despite his efforts, can't. The fairy heals the same guy again while Dry Bowser flails around.
He eventually gets to his feet, but is berthing heavily. "How are you so strong...? It doesn't make sense! I'm supposed to be the best!" Dry Bowser charges forward at the four in an attempt to attack, but electricity and light knock him over onto his face. "Bwargh! Oof!" Dry Bowser attempts to get up, but collapses on the ground again. The leader approaches slowly. Dry Bowser attempts to blow out fire, but it's just a puff of smoke. She decides to end this quickly instead of making Dry Bowser suffer. She quickly jabs the skull with her lance as its coated in light. It pierced right through with a loud crack. "No way...I lost..." Dry Bowser's body stops moving. The motionless skeleton's eyes stop glowing. The last thing Dry Bowser sees is the sad look on the girl's face.

Looks like we have our first dead player character! Don't worry, he'll be fine! When a character dies, it isn't necessarily game over. They will turn back into Link Cubes and return to the Green Link Cube summoner that owns them. They can later be summoned again at the end of the chapter, but will not gain any experience from the battles they were knocked out during. Be careful though. A Green Link Cube summoner can only have up to three active blue or red Link Cubes at a time. If you run out of space, you'll need a new Green Link Cube before returning a defeated ally.
Dry Bowser's body is coated in a red light, shrinking down to a Red Link Cube. The cube is quickly teleported into Iran's inventory without him noticing. He asks for a Deku Mask. "Ah, yes. The Deku Mask. This mask is a very nice one. It gives the wearer the ability to transform into a Deku Scrub version of themselves. It's useful for sneaking into places, but it will replace all of your abilities with Deku Scrub abilities until you change back. Only 300 gold, a special discount since today's a good business day." Iran nods his head and hands over the gold coins. The Deku Mask is quickly put away and the man puts away the coins.
"If you don't mind, I have a few questions before I go."
"Ask away."
"So who are you?"
"I'm just a simple traveling merchant. I go around with my sister to different towns, selling multiple things. My name is Rain. If you ever see me at a shop, feel free to stop by."
"What was that monster with you?"
"Who? Oh, you mean my Pokemon. That's Golem. He helps us carry our stock around. He's also a pretty great Pokemon in general. While he lacks in battle skills, he is quite the exploration partner. He's in the back, organizing some masks we found."
"What does that key do?"
"This one?" Rain shows Iran the purple key. "This key allows us to travel through worlds. It opens up doors to them so we can gather more things. I'd advise against trying to take it though. I don't think you're as experienced with keys as I am. Is that all?"
"Yes, I think I'm done."
"Alright, have a nice day. Come back anytime!" Rain waves as Iran walks out of the shop.
Only a few steps out, Vivian suddenly stops. Iran looks at her to ask what's wrong, but she stares straight ahead. Iran looks over and notices someone in a light just like Vivian's. The only difference is his is white. They both seem to be looking directly at each other. Iran also noticed he's traveling with three others. A girl, an archer, and a fairy. What a strange group.
Meanwhile, Primid is busy getting a name. The Deku Scrub goes through lists of names. "Let's see...Neo? Prime? Hmm...no, those won't work. How about Blamskigegeque?" Primid looks at Deku Link in confusion. "Yeah, not that one either. Hmm...Oh, I know! Raethelio! Or Raeth for short." Primid nods his head and claps happily. He enjoys this name. Now going by Raethelio, the Primid is ready to jail break! Just one problem, he doesn't know how. "Well, first things first, let's come up with a plan."
IRAN & VIVIAN
A. Let's fight them!
B. Tell the Deku Scrubs those people are criminals!
C. Ignore them and move on to the jail for Primid.
D. Ignore them and head on to the ruins.
E. Start a friendly conversation.
F. "Hey, Vivian, who's that?"

Iran has an idea as he sees the group. He approaches them slowly. "Hello. You must be travelers. There's something important I have to tell you." The Iran looks around and checks for Deku Soldiers. "I don't think there are any Deku Soldiers around. Okay, you might not believe me, but this place is dangerous. The mayor of this town is working with those darkness guys. The townspeople don't seem to know, but the Deku Soldiers are dangerous. For some reason, they'll lock up anyone that isn't a Deku Scrub in jail. They found us and tried to apprehend us, but one of their Primids decided to rescue us. It made it so we could safely escape, but they threw him in jail. We'd feel awful leaving and having him stuck in the jail for so long though. We can't handle those Deku Soldiers all by ourselves either. Please, help us out by saving our friend. If we don't hurry, they might execute him!" The girl seems unsure, but Iran thinks she'll fall for it.
While he waits for an answer, Raeth decides now is a good time to play a game of cards.
Raeth, Pika Plush, and Deku Link all sit in a circle with their cards. It's unknown where the deck of cards came from, but it's assumed they were left behind by a Deku Soldier. They're betting with rocks. So far, Pika Plush is taking in the rocks. He's good. Too good. Is Pika Plush cheating...?

D. Threaten to kill them if they don't do it.
