Eh, it's not like it's important. I just got used to knowing everyone's looks because of Mike's observations, but he has yet to observe himself. Never really paid attention to that.

He has yet to observe himself. I've been trying to do this over time (Zachi noting his clothes at times, Sparkles making a race remark, etc), and that actually made me a bit reluctant to do profiles since I'd need to come outright with it. I couldn't very well just put ??? over how he looks when he's the MC...oh well. Sorry to ruin the experience! |

So... Mike being black is a minor plot twist? It's a twist....maybe? Not plot related though...maybe? One of the "missions" I had for this CYOA was "have a bunch of people you don't know and the audience has to intentionally pick options to learn more about each one." And since TWEWY had a big focus on culture and looks, I thought the way people look would be one of the ways to learn about them, including their race. So naturally I'd do that and then play with it. Make the MC black because it's kind of a meta play on expectations. And there's Sparkles who's relationship with her heritage is strained... Also, I tried to have "multicultural" in mind when building the cast (Players and Reapers). So far there's two black guys, two white girls, two asian girls, three white guys, one latino guy, and one asian guy. And you haven't met everyone yet. |

And I think I did a better job of introducing Xavier than I did DJ. It's only natural that things get better with time though I guess. Or the music puns were holding me back...
