For the TWEWY CYOA I'm planning, I will need characters. So I've decided to open it up and let you guys do the work for me!
Also, since some people don't know about TWEWY, I wouldn't want to exclude them. So here's the summary of the setting and lore:
The Reapers' Game is a test where the freshly dead face challenges in order to cheat death, or earn rewards in the afterlife. To enter the Game, upon dying, the Player has to give up an entry fee to the Reapers, which is what they value most in the world (including material objects, people, memories, or even aspects of your personality). Once in the game, the Players have to form pacts, and work in pairs over the course of seven days, where they complete missions under a time limit and fight monsters called the Noise. Fail the mission, or fall to the Noise and the Player is erased from existence for good. And most Players are indeed erased. The Players gain supernatural powers to fight the Noise, manifesting from their imagination, creativity, and passions in real life. The powers are bound to items called Psychs, which can be as simple as button pins, or significant like a favorite stuffed toy. Most Players only have one Psych but very rarely some can use multiple powers. If the Player survives the week, their performance is judged, and if they played well, they may win back their entrance fee, be offered a position as a Reaper, or even brought back to life.
The Game is run by Reapers. They have stronger powers and Psychs similar to the Players, but their lifespans are limited, and have to be extended by erasing Players over the course of the Reapers' Games. However, Reapers are not normally allowed to fight Players head on, and so they summon Noise or impede mission progress to erase players indirectly. Each game is run by a Game Master, a high-ranking Reaper, who comes up with the missions. It is typically a point of pride among the Reapers to run games ending with a total player kill. The Games are moderated by the Conductor, a Reaper who ensures everyone, Players, Reapers, and Game Master, is playing by the rules. No impossible missions, and no encouraging players to kill each other, for instance. The Conductor acts on the behalf of the Composer, who is the ultimate creator of the game, and the one who judges what rewards are given in the end.
And then there's the Producer, the Angels, Soul, and other things, but you don't need to know about that stuff yet.
Right now, I want to fill out the supporting cast. So if you have ideas, send them my way. The setting is a modern day multi-cultural city. In general, anyone of any background will fit in.
