Premise:
Long ago, the ancient people lived in harmony. Magic was abundant, coursing through the very veins of the people. It made life bearable, and through magic came magitek.
But there was one who sought to use this for evil; a dark villain.
Together, legendary fighters with powers over the elements banished him away. With his last breath, he cursed mankind to lose their magic, vowing he would one day return. The warriors responses claimed that no matter how long it would take, there would always be heroes to stop him.
Without magic, the magitek became lost, eroding, exploding, and all but vanishing from the face of the earth.
It's been 3000 years since the fell mage was defeated. His name, the legend of the heroes, they have all faded into just that: mere legend.
And so the story begins, opening on a library.
Why are you here? Who are you? Come, tell me the name of the warriors-to-be!

Lore: Can you believe everything you read? The five Continents seem to mostly agree on a vague definition of what went down 3000 years ago, though they do not focus on it, instead worrying more about the present and future.
The World: Five Continents: Lorig, Belindo, Keren, Tiendra, and Morbic. The world's name is Vanda.
Lorig is ruled by a democracy. The current president is President Terra. It's main export are Minerals such as Mythril. It's home to vast mountains.
Belindo is a Theocracy. Ruled by Hierophant Mikayel, the main export is meat. It's mainly plains as far as you can see.
Keren is a Tyrannical Dictatorship, ruled by Emperor Damian. The main export is spices, and the terrain mostly Forests.
Tiendra is a lawless dessert. Mercenaries are the main thing that come from here.
Morbic is a Matriarchal land covered in ice, ruled by Grand Mother Sierra. The main export is fish.

Keren is constantly under revolt, several factions wanting to despose of the Emperor. Of course, Damian ruthlessly squashes most of them, but an underground movement is largely growing, this time determined to see him fall.
Most people are content in Morbic, though there are some that wish for her to take a husband, and others waiting to place their prefferred females on the throne, even going so far as to hire assassins and thugs.
In Belindo people are weary. There's been talk of people civilly changing the system. Perhaps it has to do with Faith being shaken...
Lorig is currently set for another 7 years of Terra helping the populous, but there are supports who wish to see her removed quicker.
Tiendra remains lawless, but of course there are people who want to try to bring SOME form of law to the continent.

Backstory: Oliver is adopted, having been orphaned at a young age. His parents, Caro and Tarra, showed him no different attention because of this fact. In his younger days, Oliver was fairly studious, though he mostly applied that to learning how to play the lute. Now a young prodigy of the Lute, Oliver has come to the libraey in hopes of finding a new sheet of music.
Personality: Oliver is a bit of a flirt, hitting on any beautiful girl. That said, he is also a strong believer in justice and doing what's right. In serious times he never fails to be courageous, while in tragedies he can weep with the best of him. He frequently uses jokes to impress his ladies. The most likely to say yes to favours.
Element: Oliver will be weilding the element of Light.
Mark: The mark of the Sun is on the nape of his neck, usually hidden by the collar of his coat.
Weapon: Oliver has his lute, and a pistol concealed in it.
