...Holy **** the Astalos armor... Yep. It's pretty damn amazing. Check out the Palico version.

Astalos is unlocked automatically in the village once you reach 5 Star quests. So is Gammoth.

Yeah, that 3* request quest that got unlocked was actually another one for guild... So there's two with the same objective. As far as I can tell the only difference is location.

...Holy **** the Astalos armor... Yep. It's pretty damn amazing. Check out the Palico version. Kinda... creepy. Like a demon Kamen Rider. Rathian is the corpse, Rathalos is the other corpse. Yeah, Astalos is absolutely gorgeous. Not as beautiful as Bubble Dragon, but close. I strongly suggest you wait on a group before tackling most of the monsters in HR3. Grammoth, at least, was manageable. Used plenty of healing, but that type of fight's where the Switch Axe shines. This Azuros axe is no Dragonmaiden, but it gets the job done.

Hey Crow, what are the Key Quests for HR2?
Edit: NVM, found them online.

Also, Gammoth's weapons are very good for farming Astalos.

Desert Goumand/Nibelsnarf Noise Violation/Najarala In Search of Yian Garuga Operation: Secure Speciment/Naracuga Royal Assassination/Rathian
I think that's it, but if there's more it's either Malfestio or Volvi-tongue.

Desert Goumand/Nibelsnarf Noise Violation/Najarala In Search of Yian Garuga Operation: Secure Speciment/Naracuga Royal Assassination/Rathian I think that's it, but if there's more it's either Malfestio or Volvi-tongue. Owl is the last one. I wish it were Volvi. I hate the stupid Owl.

Volvi's that quest that took me three times longer than it should've because a Heritaur decided to make an ass of itself.
The Owl's fun, I like fighting the owl. I don't mind inverted controls. It throws me off more when my Palico smacks me out of it unexpectedly mid-combo. And knocks me back.
Dang it, Telly. You... sweet, trying-to-help ball of fur. Come to think of it, it's a triangle. Telly always comes to help me, Aeva always smack Telly for goofing off, and I'm always saving Aeva's stupid brat-cat butt.

The inverted controls screw me over big time, and he always manages to stun me and confuse me. Apparently even with Adept Style. I absolutely despise the Owl. Anyway, urgent time.

Inverted controls are probably a bigger deal when you're maneuvering and not just attacking constantly. At most shuffling sideways or deciding whether to move closer or turn around because you moved too close.
Alternatively, go ranged.

Huh. Kushala isn't HR3, Chameleos is... Still, Chameleos will be fun. Such an adorably derby dragon. Awesome theme too. Ima Stop the Wheel of time and fight Shagaru once tonight, then I'm going to bed.

Lagiacrus is crazy on land now. It's more powerful than Ivory (granted, Adept style more than makes up for it).

I think I said I was going to give up on it, but I only need a Remombra head and 1 more spike. So if anyone needs to hunt a Rathian for HR2 or the Rathialos Duo for HR3 sometime between like 6 and session, give me a shout.
Or Garuda. Or Zinogre. Or Bubble Dragon. Or Grammath. Anything in HR3, really.

I wish the Gunner versions of the Deviant Armors had some different skills because, as they are, a lot of the Deviant skills have Blademaster-only effects, so they're kinda worthless for gunners.

The only Deviant Armor that seems really good for Gunners is the Grimclaw Tigrex one, since its bonuses aren't just Blademaster (HG Earplugs and Speed Eating +2), and it gives Normal S Up.
