Personally, I like the Black Dragon weapons and the Bubble Dragon weapons the best so far. I really, really want to find a good place to farm Elder Dragon Bones so I can mine more Dark Stones and Dark Pieces. The Black Dragon armor set is so badass.

EXXXXXXCAAAAAAAALIBUR!!!! You get the Hero's Blade for beating Astalos. You pull it out of the stone, and it kinda looks like the Master Sword.  Really terrible sharpness, but decent Raw and holy crap look at that affinity. It's a SnS too. |

How good is it? I can craft a pretty decent Raw SnS (90 Power, 1 slot, and decent green sharpness at Rank 1) called the Chak Chak that you might want to "Chak" out. |

Apparently, it upgrades into one of the best SnS in the game though. |

Oh wow. Level 2 Hero's Blade is a huge jump in sharpness, 20 more Raw, and another +5% affinity. But I need stuff from HR3 to upgrade it.

Can't you mine the giant sword in Pokke once you beat Gammoth? Yes, but you need to bring two Elder Dragon Bones to the attendant so he can forge you a special pickaxe to use. And you have to do that every time. But you get Dark Stones and Dark Pieces from it, which allows you to forge the Black Dragon weapons and armor. Edit: Not the first time though. You get to mine for free the first time. |

Just finishing up the last key quest in 5* village. Next is the Glavenus urgent, and then it's only two or three quests until High Rank.

Le sigh. I knew the ending was bad, as I saw it in Cross... But Jesus Capcom. That is by far the stupidest and worst LR village ending scene of any MH game. Ever. This is a perfectly good example for why I feel MH4U is still a better game.

On the bright side, Stories comes out in Japan this fall, so X/Generations isn't going to be the only MH for a long time. I assume they'll localize Stories as well. I really want them to.

I want to murder the Devs right now. They actually coded Glavenus to cheat. Lurk, you're going to have to start making Blademaster gear if you haven't already. Gunning Glavenus is impossible.

I'm HR3 now. So I can hunt a damn Grammoth already. Electro-Rathalos was SO PRETTY. Neo. THE BLACK NEEDS GLOWING GREEN WINGS. Ah, see? I have to hunt a Rathian and his wife together. Told you I could just wait for those spikes. |

Holy crap, Neo, you weren't kidding when you said things open up at 3. My old favorite armor - I mean monster's here, a few monsters I've never fought (like... 9!?), Shiggy AND Goruda Mala, tons of "slay or repel" quests, all the jerks that popped up in those Village quests, hunt AND capture a Glaive-butt, several "hunt 2 monsters" quests... Maccao and Glaive-butt? Tongue-Bug and... that punch-splodey asshole...

Rathian is the girl, Rathalos is the guy. Yeah, Astalos is absolutely gorgeous. Not as beautiful as Bubble Dragon, but close. I strongly suggest you wait on a group before tackling most of the monsters in HR3. I'm still HR2, should probably change that... But I was about to go to bed... |
