I found a way to defeat the desire sensor. I just look at what monster I need to kill, not what specific part.

Part of me was hoping they didn't bring Plates and Rubies back. Oh well. I foresee many hours of frustration in the future...

On the plus side, I remembered what weapon carried me through 4U. Now I just need to take down Rathy again, and find a Remobra head...

You can find Remobras in the Volcano. I'm going to blitz through 4* village quests so I can get access to offline Gore and Bubble Dragon.

Crow, did you watch the video? It remarks on some comboes you might not know about.

I'd already seen it. Good to know that Energy Charge increases Affinity.

I just unlocked the Rathian variant, Dreadqueen Rathian.
.... Trying to solo her probably isn't a good idea. But YOLO.

I unlocked it too.
Do the Village Request Hub quests get fulfilled if you aren't the host? I've done only the Village Quest Requests, so if others need to get the Hub requests done as well, we could knock them out quickly some time.

I've done so many of the Rank 3 Village quests... Turns out I've only done 1/6 of the Key Quests... I don't wanna hunt a Gypceros. Friggin' drama queens.

Most of the gimmick status monsters are pretty easy with Adept, since you can dodge through roars, status fields, and flashes.

NO. Just no. Never again. Easily worse than Gold Rathian. Never again. I refuse. That is the first time I've abandoned the quest and run away from a monster since I don't know when, and I'm not ashamed in the slightest. Hands down the worst monster yet. Never again.
Edit: And that was just a level 1 Dreadqueen. Only way to tackle that... Abomination is with four veteran players, all using Adept, and all with max upgraded High Rank armor with Poison Negate. That's the ONLY way that monster is feasible to beat.

It's a monster that's learned to hunt monster hunters. A monster hunter hunter monster. Did you think it'd be easy?
So that's a Nibelsnarf... So dopey-lookin' with its eyes. Like a Shadow of the Colossus colossus. Aerial style was not the right choice.
I killed it with a mount. Never done that before.

Nibelsnarf is adorable. He's probably one of my favorite monsters.

Get a Nibelsnarf to eat a bomb and you can fish it out, but mash every button during the fishing game, not just A like in the normal fishing mini-game.

Fishing game...?
I just beat him the old-fashioned way.
To death.

But fishing for Nibelsnarfs is really, really fun, Crow.

Forget what I said in the chat earlier, Lurk. I actually can cut Garuga's tail off with this weapon. I only bounce off the very tip while he's in rage mode.

So what's up with subquests changing after you leave the village? Is it just a glitch? In the 5* offline Bubble Dragon quest, the subquest says to wound the head when I'm still in the village. But when I actually go on the hunt, it changes to wound the body part.

Stayed up all night hunting again. No regrets. Well, maybe just a little. I kinda have stuff to do today so I can't afford to sleep for the entire day. But I got a lot accomplished. - Reached 5* village - Made the Bubble Dragon set(Which is every bit as gorgeous as I thought it would be) - Made the Rathalos set - Learned how to use Sword&Shield - Learned how to properly use Aerial Style - Learned Aerial Sword&Shield is amazing and utterly obliterates flying monsters and especially large monsters - Made and upgraded the Rathian LS(For pesky Kushala) - Made the Rathalos S&S and obliterated Gammoth with ORBITAL FIRE LS is still my main, but now I've decided that S&S is going to be my second weapon of choice. It's really fun and can hit surprisingly hard. Also, the Bubble Dragon armor has BUBBLY DANCE as a skill! It coats you in bubbles whenever you dodge a monster's attack, which apparently works like Evade Extender and Evasion+ combined. It makes you slide a bit further and gives you increased invulnerability frames. I'm not 100% sure if that's the case, but that's certainly what it seems like. Also, the Bubble Dragon S&S is actually a traditional Japanese/Asian styled fan. So now my character can basically be the female version of Zhuge Liang.

Striker SnS is better, since Aerial lacks the crazy seven-hit combo that is really fast and great for applying Exhaust with Exhaust Oil.
Guild has a really fast perfect loop, but Striker gets all three Arts and SnS is probably the only weapon with Arts on par with the Longsword.
