Yeah. I dunno what it is about the Blangongo, but I'm going to need a hand.

Blangongo is just super aggressive and hits really hard for this early in the game.
On another note, I beat Malfestio with no carts, only one non-food item (a single First Aid Med), and in about 10 minutes.
Granted I ate for Felyne insomniac, but Bushido can dodge through the sleep beams and powder spheres.

Apparently the Telstra Bow isn't that good until you get the High Rank version since the Low Rank versions only have Rapid Lv 2, so it's outclassed by the Snarf, Garuga, and Vespoid Bows.

At least for Low Rank.

As a relative newcomer to the series, I feel like maybe I'm not having the right reaction to some of these monsters. "Well, you're a big guy. I'm learning Aerial, so I'm gonna jump on you a bit. Also, give me your teeth." "Oh, you kinda look like Gale Mandela. Just gonna take this egg, 'K?"
Speaking of learning Aerial, anyone want to help me with my monkey problem in, like, 90 minutes?

My only reaction is to run from Deviljho.
I hate the pickle. Also, "Gale Mandela". Yes.

^ Only two monsters I run from are Deviljho and Rajang. I'll help you with your monkey problem, Crow.

I can help too, and I got my own Monkey Problem.
Also, I upgraded my bow so now it can take out monsters pretty quickly. I played badly and still took out two Royal Ludroths in about 11 minutes.

Also, Neo, use the Meownster Hunters and you can craft some swanky gear like these Undead-themed Dragon Weapons or Elder Dragon statue weapons.
One weapon is called the Cawscythe, and it's a demon crow Scythe with a Crow's beak as the blade.

Since I've... actually improved my technique quite a bit now that I've put some effort into... well... improving my technique rather than SMASH MONSTER HARDER.

But I suck at the mini game.

Also, there's a similar looking Swaxe too.
You need to unlock the Meownster Hunters by getting to 3 star village quests, and it shows up as a hidden reward on areas marked "rare" when scouting. Find the area and get as many Palicoes there as possible.

The mini-game is really easy. You just need a few rounds of practice and you can figure out what power levels get you where on the screen. Close to full gets you about 2/3 up the screen depending on the angle, while mostly empty gets you up to about 1/3 of the way up. Most of the time you can get whatever you need in the mini-game with a practice shot or two.

I've done only 3 village quests. Just reaching HR2 gave me access to the Meownster Hunters.

I guess that works too.
Though you should really do the Village Quests. You miss out on a lot of equipment and items if you don't do them.
And you should check out the Insect Glaive, since its Aerial style is very unique and I think you might like it more than DB.

But Aerial DB are OP. Aerial DB and Adept LS are generally considered the best weapon combinations in the game.
Also, the village quests are a lot easier than online, GX. I found a site with all the village key quests if you want the link.

Aerial IG can fling you across maps quickly, and I've heard a lot of talk about Bushido DS being stronger than Aerial.

Y'know how Soulsborne has those armor pigs you can backstab? Just did that to an Azuros. With a Blade Mode Switch Axe.

You should try doing that to a Redhelm Azuros.
