The first bow shot fired. Hayeno dodged it successfully, but another one came. Sounds of mobs being awoken by their presenc filled the air. Mobs began coming forth from other ledges along the ravine. Some shooting distance. Creepers tried approaching and zombies as well, but this would be a bow to bow battle. 

Only eight blocks to go...

Hayeno began firing shots off. He hit a few skeletons and a few fell to the ground below, plummeting to their death.

Nayone heard the arrows flying. She could hear one coming in her direction before abrultly stopping. Hayeno must've blocked it. Nayone instantly knew she would have to work fast to keep them both alive.

Six blocks to go...


Hayeno fired off arrow after arrow. He'd done this before, but never had he had to protect someone else. It was always his own life at stake. Several skeletons appeared out of nowhere backing up the remainders of wave one. 

Hayeno dodged sevral arrow, but he had to stop for a few seconds to shoot. Those few seconds were causing him to be hit with several arrows. He was bleeding at this point. His arms were tired from shooting along with the pain of two

"Are you okay?"

Hayeno was quiet for a bkt before strugglingly sitting up. "Yeah. Thanks for asking Palkia."

After resting up a bit, Hayeno and Nayone journeyed into the Mineshaft. The passed  collections of coal and iron. After a while of walking forward and turning off, they came to an underground waterfall.

Nayone and Hayeno sat and soaked their feet in the cool clean water.

The water felt nice on tired soles and the air was clean in the underground. They talked.

"Thank you for everything you're doing for me HHD.It means alot tome."Nayone said breaking the silence. She looked at him and smiled. Tears rolled down her cheeks. Nayone leaned her head onto his shoulder.

"No problem at all. I just want to help you. I know what it's like to be in a situation that feels hopeless."

Hayeno leaned his head onto Nayone's. Her hair was soft and her heart fragile,yet strong and wild at the same time.

They sat and listened to the calming waterfall's flow. 

After the longest time, when all of Nayone's tears had faded and left stains on her cheks, Hayeno's tears began to flow. He spoke.

"It wasn't manslaughter. You see.. I... In my ol.d... Village.." He began to get choked up on every word. Hayeno was trembling.

Nayone looked up at him. She sat up looked him in the eyes and hugged him. 

Hayeno was soothed by Nayone's touch. 

He caught ahold of himself and began.

"You see, my village was hostile. Everyone looked out for themselves. Except for her. My mom. She protected me. I knew the dangers of the world around me despite her protection, but still, I was happy she would do anything for me. Most mothers didn't do much their. Most fathers would only stay for the fun,then leave the woman to give birth and have the child themselves. Well, you see, I had enemies. Not all people liked that my Mom did that. They were jealous,despite the fact she was nice to everyone around her no matter what.There were these kids in particular. They were hate filled and already picked on everyone they could. Even me. Well one day, they insulted her, so, I got into a fight. They were winning until My Mom came and broke things up. They would've killed me. I was beaten half to death. Those kids were furious they hadn't finished. They blamed her." Hayeno was breathing deeply. He snuggled deeper into Nayone's embrace. Nayone held him tighter, comforting him.

"Well, I lashed out at her when she scolded me. I had defended her and was being reprimanded for it by her. It made me angry. We didn't talk much that night. I ended up yelling at her and leaving to sleep somewhere else that night." Hayeno was crying, small sobs escaped him. He regained his composure a little bit later and continued.



"So, I came home the next  day,feeling bad. There she was. She was tatered and beaten. He arms were covered in cuts. She was bruised and dripping blood. Her eyes were half full.Her breaths were so shallow. That image of her never leaves me. I...tried....I rushed to her and cried.... i screamed and cried... I didn't stop crying until... Everything was ov..er.. I told her she'd be okay...nothing was...wrong.
.She didn't hear me...they'd beaten her ears to a bloo..dy..pulp...They  left a..... A mark.... My... Name.... In her...her...blo...ood." The words came out slow.

A, we have to do this quest, right?

Might as well do it. Maybe we can make a brooch...

Woah, I nearly forgot about this.

Nayone mined a spiral path down in the wall that led to the lower level.

Hayeno and Nayone stopped before mining out an exit to the floor.
"Keep me covered. I haven't slept in a bed in days, so if I come back, it could be in the middle of nowhere."Nayone said.

Hayeno nodded. 


Nayone mined out the last two pieces of stone.

They rushed in and Nayone switched to her Sword. She charged forward. Two Cave Spiders jumped towards her.

She thrust and killed one with a strong slash, but the other bit her shoulder before she could send it to the land of the dead mobs with her sword.

Hayeno covered her. He shot off numerous arrows, all of which made contact. 


After fending off the first few waves, Nayone began moving inwards, towards the flaming spawner. They weren't teribly too far from it, but the spiders wouldn't stop spawning.

Hayeno followed suit, still behind Nayone firing ffom his trusty bow. Nayone wished she was that good with one. But Hayeno wished he had her sword skills. Guess you can't have everything,huh?


As they neared the spawner, their stamina began letting up. More Cave spiders made it to Nayone and she began to lose focus. Nayone's vision became bdark at the edges and spots swam before her eyes. The poison was takong effect. She could feel her body getting weaker and becoming numb.

Just a few.... Mo...re.... Slashes....swings...thru.sts...


Finally, Nayone reached the spawner and slayed the last Cave spider as she fell to her knees. Her forehead was running like a river with sweat. The last thing she saw, was Hayeno destroying the spawner.


Nayone blacked out.....

B. "B-baka, I was fine, geez, stop worrying and being all sweet. Baka."
