"Yeah, you've said that, though not in as many words. How do you survive though? I don't see food or anything. I mean, you have to be getting the energy to survive from somewhere, and I heven't seen anything in here or out there. You've mentioned you're radioactive, I know because of... um... oh, that thing about cancer. So even if you only survive off of radiation, nuclear energy, you have to get it somewhere."

"You heard what they said about restocking and refueling, right?"

"But I thought that was your first time meeting them? Unless... why did you go through the orientation with me, if you've been in contact with them? How many times have they offered you pay and housing? Why do you even still live down here?"

"Tch. Guess you're happy to find out how weak I am then. So, why do you live down here then? Even if you want to be alone... there's got to be places better than this..." Kyrie looked down sullenly, remembering all the times she said that same thing to herself.

*klink klink klink*
A girl walked out of a liquor store with a few cases of 190-proof vodka. The store keeper didn't ask about anything but ID. He figured that if he asked he'd lose one of his best customers to the police.
The problem Anthea has with carrying things is that they often can't move as fast as she can. After an unbearably long walk across the street to her apartment building, up about 30 stories, and into her room, she zipped everything into a cooler at her usual supersonic pace and emptied two bottles of their contents. Immediately her focus sharpened as the ethanol worked its way into her body.
The display of her phone flashed past her face at a speed only she could register. Her hologram showed her slipping the phone into her pocket. In reality it was teleported back and from from one of many secure locations Anthea had created to store anything she might need. The teleporter was built into her body, but carrying anything else around would both slow her down, and likely crumble under the mass dilation.
Anyways, time to go.
*knock knock knock*
Anthea poked her head through a door in America.
"Hello. Is there a Brook here?"

"So why not make one then? I dunno how much space you need, but it can't be too hard to clear out a big enough space, those lizards probably have plenty of bases, and there's got to be some abandoned property out there. Maybe a block or two? You could even have access to these tunnels for when you want to leave," she said while patting the ground. "And it'd probably be nice to see what the weather's like and all that. Maybe you could even get a hill to look out from. All that's needed is that nobody's around, and I'm sure there are places like that. Sounds nice, right?"

"Have you seen the rest of the ship?" Manhattan asked. "The people here are packed like sardines."

"I've been with you since I woke, you know what I've seen," Kyrie muttered with a glare. "What about the other ships? There are two or three other ones, aren't there? They can't all be thoroughly packed."

"These ships were the last vestige of hope for humanity." Manhattan replied. "Any place that isn't packed with people is either too dangerous or off-limits."

"Wow, you sure cast a darker light on the place than those lizards did." Shaking her head, Kyrie resumes speaking. "Anyway, why not get a little private ship? I'm sure they'd like having you a safe distance away from the actual civilization, but within reach. You could just have your own little place next to one of the big ships, and teleport in or whatever when you're needed. Or do you have a problem with that too?"

"No, it won't." Manhattan reasoned. "Housing aboard a small vessel increases the number of dangers and problems I'd face."
