Why can't Mystic forsee where to find the sheep? Are sheep immune to her abilities?

Sure, if she knows what direction the attack is coming from.

Topic of discussion time, even if it's hot feces! You know how in some games (mostly fighting games), there's a short introduction animation before an asswhuppin' session in which they show up, do a pose, present some demonstration of power, threaten/insult/taunt the opponent, perform an intimidation tactic, prepare themselves, etc.? If not, here are some examples from Killer Instinct, Street Fighter, Playstation Smash Bros, Guilty Gear, and Hyrule Warriors for a non-fighting game example. Let's give our characters something like that (in terms of a 1v1 setting); two generic lines (one where they're the ones instigating the fight against someone or arriving to the battleground, and a defensive intro where the other person is instigating it and they're responding to it or they're already at the scene of the battle) and whatever "special" lines against certain characters you feel like adding. I'm personally doing only a few "special" lines because otherwise I'd be here all day I'm finally doing the Yuleian generals! Alvis - Offensive - Fierce winds cover the battleground as Alvis descends to the ground in a small tornado. As he reaches the ground, he unsheathes his sword and says "I do not foresee a favorable outcome for you."
- Defensive - Alvis says "it appears you do not wish to negotiate". He then sighs and unsheathes his sword, a rush of wind pushing his cloak out. "A pity."
- Vs. Ephesian general - Same as offensive, only his line is "Shall we settle this like gentlemen?"
- Vs. Vincent - Same as offensive, only his line is "Allow me to test your abilities."
- Vs. Geraldine - Same as offensive, only his line is "Ah, Lady Geraldine. Why so severe an expression?"
- Vs. [Unknown] - Same as offensive, only his like is "Beings like you must be erased." Leonard - Offensive - Away from the battleground, frantic soldiers strap a pair of large metal crates on a catapult and launch them. The metal crates hit the battlefield, creating small craters as they land. Leonard marches up to them, punches each hand of his into each crate, and then brings his fists together, destroying the crates and showing his arms now equipped with his gauntlets. As he takes a battle position, he declares "Turn and run now, for before you lies the great LEONARD SKAAR!"
- Defensive - Leonard stands tall, his gauntlets equipped. "This territory belongs to the Queendom of Yuleia." Leonard stomps the ground, creating a tremor. As he takes a battle stance, he continues with "SO GET OUT BEFORE I THROW YOU OUT!"
- Vs. Ephesian general - Same as defensive, only replace his lines with "My boots are going so far up your ass... YOU'LL BE COUGHING UP BOOT POLISH AS YOU DIE!"
- Vs. [Unknown] - Same as defensive, only his line his "Queen Glinda sends her regards... NOW ALLOW ME TO BURY YOU! Alexus - Offensive - Alexus walks through a bloody field of fallen soldiers, dragging his Devil Arm behind him. As he reaches the battleground, he says "another lamb to the slaughter," as he gets into a fighting stance. His blade stirs slightly
- Defensive - Alexus stands glaring at his opponent, his arms crossed. A Legionaire appears behind him, holding the bandaged Devil Arm. Alexus takes the sword and stabs it into the ground. The bandages covering the blade burn away as he says "it seems you have a death wish."
- Vs. Ephesian general - Same as offensive, except his line is "In the end, even you will fall to Tartarus."
- Vs. Ethan - Same as offensive, except his line is "This time, my blade will feast upon your blood."
- Vs. Elia - Same as offensive, except his line is "I shall have your eyes as a necklace, Ephesian dog."
- Vs. [Unknown] - Alexus briefly observes his foe with interest before taking a fighting stance. Viola - Offensive - Two Angelos cross blades in front of a beam of light, heralding Viola's descent. She lands down gracefully among some drifting feathers, conjures a weapon out of light, and says "If you allow it, your demise will be painless."
- Defensive - Viola raises her hand and conjures a spear. She then twirls the weapon around and plants it into the ground, creating an explosion of light. "You will be responsible for your own destruction", she says.
- Vs. Ephesian - Same as Offensive, only her line is "My name is Viola Angelo. I will be your opponent!"
- Vs [Unknown] - Same as Offensive, only her line is "Away with you, wretched creature!" Sterling - Offensive - Sterling walks into the battleground as a tumbleweed rolls on by. He looks at a bullet in his hand as he says "Look at the bright side." He then tosses the bullet upward. Slo-mo cam zooms in on the bullet, revealing that the name of his opponent is carved into it. The bullet then falls into an open chamber in his revolver. "...Maybe it'll be quick 'n' painless." He spins the chamber as he eyes his opponent.
- Defensive - Sterling starts off leaning back on a wooden chair he's sitting on, his feet hiked up and resting on a barrel, a blade of wheat in his mouth. He looks up at his opponent, smirks, then leisurely stands up and walks over across his opponent, spitting out the blade of wheat. He sets his legs apart and hovers his hand over his gun holster (a "draw" stance).
- Vs. Ephesian general - Same as defensive, only once he spits out the blade of wheat, he says "Well pardner... You just made my day."
- Vs. [Unknown] - Same as offensive, only his lines are "Dead or alive... You're comin' wit me." The bullet has "Ugly PoS" carved on it. Tanaka - Offensive - A large, above-ground whirlpool moves forward. The water then falls and splashes outward, revealing Tanaka in the middle of it, twirling a water naginata above her head. She then stops and takes a fighting stance with the spear, winking at her foe. Her foe starts to wonder if it was worth getting out of bed today.
- Defensive - Tanaka performs an elegant dance with a lot of water effects, before spinning around, dispelling the water and holding electric needles in her hands. She takes a fighting stance and performs a "bring it!" gesture. Her foe begins to suspect that they've made a terrible mistake.
- Vs. Ephesian general - Same as defensive, except her foe suddenly finds slight difficulty in controlling their bowel movements.
- Vs. [Unknown] - Tanaka recoils and makes a disgusted face. She creates a water katana, ready, if reluctant, to fight. Masujiro - Offensive - A log is thrown from somewhere offscreen. A katana slices through the airborne log. Masajiro lands as the split log falls behind him. "I'd hate to be you right now!" he says as he prepares for a fight.
- Defensive - Masujiro walks forward, unsheathing his katana. "Well watch closely, then" he declares. He takes a ready stance. "This is what an ass-kicking looks like!"
- Vs. Ephesian general - Same as defensive, only his line is "A worthy opponent at last! I, Naito Masujiro, accept your challenge!"
- Vs. Catie, Charlie - A panicked Masujiro is seen backing away, holding a trembling katana out in front of him. "I-I mean it! Stay back! Please?"
- Vs. [Unknown] - He looks at his foe. "What's that on your... Oh. Nevermind." He then takes an uneasy fighting stance. Abraham - Offensive - An oversized insect (with a firefly-like glow) gets hit by a tongue from off-screen. The camera pans over to Abraham riding his Komodo, who walks in as it swallows its prey. Abraham holds his halberd in front of him facing upward. "May your spirit know peace," he says. His Komodo breathes out a puff of fire.
- Defensive - Abraham climbs aboard his Komodo, who hisses loudly at their foe. Abraham holds his halberd up front. "It seems you leave us no choice." His Komodo breathes a stream of fire upward as intimidation.
- Vs. Ephesian general - Same as defensive, only his line is "I suppose I should destroy you and let the gods sort you out."
- Vs. [Unknown] - Uncharacteristically angry, Abraham rides in on his Komodo. "Unholy abomination! You don't belong in this world!" His komodo hisses loudly. I'm not doing Vs. Glinda, Lana, or each other, since that would involve spoilers for certain generals I want people to figure out when the time comes. |
