The person that acts as the secret mole/spy??
Also it wouldn't be hey there's an OP boss waiting to obliterate everyone.
It would be like Fawful just happens to know where you are at and he just happens to be there.
I wonder if anybody would be oppose to this idea for a pilot twist. When either everyone is away from the base or some of our more OP members are away, Fawful finds out about the hideout and leads an assault against that w/ either just his minions or maybe some of the more OP villians effectively destroying it.
Afterwards thinking that the hero's are beaten and broken releases his victim from his grip. Fawful activates his spy at a certain point in the plot to give away the hideout.
Again this is just an idea and I think it would be cool to have this element. It gives an air of distrust and maybe it gives an air of chaos and its something in the back of the hero's mind. Its not something I would use for combat and it would purely be plot related
Is anybody overly oppose to the idea?

I'm okay with it, but first we need to establish a base. I.E, where the hero base actually is. And we'll need a sub base ready. Why don't we have the main base near Yggdrassil? Yggdrassil is surrounded by a vast mountain range on all sides, and there's plenty of caves, and even some old ruins. It's in the center of the continent, even on the final draft of the map, so it's in a prime location. And Yggdrassil's presence could explain why the villains can't sense where the base is.
Also, there will be a evil Revival Point for villains only, over on Wizard's Isle. This is to avoid us having to explain why villains can use the World Tree. And since I probably won't have the map up tomorrow, I'm gonna post some established lore and names, to avoid confusion and mass edits.
The Empire of Ephesus: The big, bad evil empire. It holds sway over most of the Northeastern corner of the continent, and it is a harsh land of snow and ice. It is mainly a military state, ruled by Emperor Grievous(Pun intended) and his six Elemental Generals. The culture is loosely based on Ancient China, around the height of the Han Dynasty. I.E, focus on art and war. The Empire is formed like a large circle, with towns and villages on the outer rim, and the citadels and metropolitan area in the center. A vast wall surrounds the Empire, known as the Great Wall*.
*Didn't have time to think of a better name. So deal.
I will write for Emperor Grievous, if no one else wants to. The Sorc of Ephesus is the Imperial Chancellor, Galbador, whom I will be writing for.
The Wizard's Isle: This is a separate island from the main continent, and home to the Man Behind the Curtain and his castle, as well as his top aides. Unless HHD has a problem with this... But it's clearly the best choice. Having his castle on the mainland would cause a lot of problems.
The island is rocky and desolate, with high cliffs and rough waters, making it difficult to approach by sea. A year round storm makes it nearly impossible to approach by air. The center of the island is a fiery wasteland, with fields of lava geysers, that's home to a giant beast, which acts as the island guardian. The Wizard of OZ has his castle on the northern coast.

The Queendom of Yuleia: This is the main 'good' kingdom, or Queendom rather, and the only real rival to Ephesus. It occupies the majority of the Southwestern portion of the Map. Yuleia is ruled by Queen Glinda. She has one daughter, Princess Lana, and her Sorc is Chancellor Cia. Yup... I so went there. The Kingdom of Nightingdale(Pun intended): Anyone call for elves? No? Well too bad! This is mainly a land of forests and streams, which occupies the Northwestern area of the map, from northern Yuleia to the Dead Marshes. It is populated by a large tribe of reclusive hunters and sages, known as the Dalish. Yes, very original, I know. The Dalish don't interact much with outsiders. They worship Yggdrassil, and make frequent pilgrimages there in times of peace. They are ruled by High King Bjorn. The Merchant State of Zelphos: A mostly free state in the far southeastern corner of the map, populated by sailors, merchants, and sailors. It is maintained by Governor Thornton, and is the main port in OZ and the largest port. It's Thornton, my boy. Gil Thornton. I think that's everything I need to post...

I thought the main base would be an abandoned fort but that could have been just during the pre draft phase. Yeah this can happen mid way towards the end, etc. Don't worry he can't hypnotize someone like Vincent or somebody who's 'high tier' I was thinking about either a mid tier, low tier or a minion. The character who's the 'mole' I will do it through PM. This way I know, the person knows, and most likely you will know but nobody else will know.

General Grievous. That is what I've pulled out of your post so far, Neo. General Grievous. F***er looked cool. Didn't care for him, but damn were those some aesthetics.
And as for the wall, how about the name Odófragma? Greek for barricade, IIRC. Might want a name change if the wall's there to keep people in, rather than out.

I could've sworn we agreed that home base was at the tree pages ago...

Get it right. Also, that's way too much of a mouthful... About just Odo? Odon? Frag? Frag...ma? Slugma?

Well, people probably would have shortened versions of it, but the meaning is kinda lost without the whole word for the official name. Like how people call Los Angeles L.A. or New York the Big Apple... Wait, no, that's longer. And I don't think anyone calls it NY... Why the f*** don't they have a short name for New York?
Point is, you could shorten it in conversation, but I don't think it would be right to shorten the official name.

Put the witch on the island. That makes more sense, especially with the endless storm thing. The MBC doesn't have a base. People would mostly be dealing with the Witch who's attacking everything.
So in this opening post I'm writing...do people have a preference on where they start?

...Is HHD just the go-to guy for starting everything around here? Cause that's the trend I'm noticing.

So in this opening post I'm writing...do people have a preference on where they start? Okay. So, the Witch's Island then. And what do you mean? I thought we already decided where our characters were starting. My dragons are starting in the capital of Ephesus, and my Austur characters are starting in Yuleia. I assume Glinda and Cia are summoning most of the heroes. Also, I thought you were just gonna write the background and the Sorcs casting the Summoning Ritual, and we were going to write the entrance for our own characters.

Layout wise I have no idea where the characters are starting but I know Mario and Baron will end up together (long story short Barron and Catie could have gotten split up during the ritual) and Catie, Bowser, and Shiva (b/c Bowser will be incredibly awkward around Catie and Shiva, Catie will be upset b/cshe got separated from Barron, and Shiva just sighs and tell the 2 to follow her).

Hm...I think I invented my villains for a much different world than you've made =P
What background would that be then? Basically the starting lore again? Fine by me.

Remember, we're using Smexy's idea. So there will be places of great technology. If that's what you meant... Now I need sleep. G'night.

I was aiming for post-apocalypse so yeah. Slight miscalculation. Ah whatever. Well, the land isn't going to be an Eden. The final draft will show that. It won't be some Blade Runner crap, but the land will definitely have visible scars from all the wars. I've tried to make it a ruggedly beautiful world that people will enjoy exploring, but I've also tried to add some urgency to it, some good old fashioned apocalyptic feels.
