It's not a problem if nobody notices it.
I will explicitly state when it bites someone and leaves behind a tattoo of abominability, and they will probably feel that, but besides that it's up to you guys how your characters react.
Also what part do you need help understanding? Granted, the Lionheart on its own has only been introduced recently. The Straw I feel like I've given a lot of exposition on.

The straw's not for lack of explanation, I just... don't get it. It's like... an inter-dimensional... brain... parasite... thing...
For the Lionheart, I guess... I'm only really confused about the fake ones. They don't do anything? But the fake ones can become the real one if the real one dies?

Yes...that's pretty much what the Straw is.
The fake Lionhearts are like eggs. When the previous body dies, one of them "hatches" and becomes the new Lionheart. The others are decoys/back-ups and are dormant. Any image depicting it could become eventually become it, so no records of it are intentionally kept.

Since there's some fresh meat, I want to revisit this one topic of discussion again. ------- What would you say are your characters' S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats? To explain, the Fallout series uses the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. ruleset to determine the following statistics: Strength ("Raw physical strength.") Perception ("The ability to see, hear, taste and notice unusual things.") Endurance ("Stamina and physical toughness. A character with a high Endurance will survive where others may not. ") Charisma ("A combination of appearance and charm.") Intelligence ("Knowledge, wisdom and the ability to think quickly.") Agility ("Coordination and the ability to move well.") Luck They're scored between 1 and 10, with 5 being average (normal human level). Usually, they determine a lot of stats and stuff, but since this is a "for fun" discussion, just think of it as a very loose measure of their abilities that shouldn't be taken as the end-all-be-all measurements. To help, these are the "ranks" given to each measure by New Vegas. Note that most of the rank names probably aren't meant to be taken literally (for example, 3 Intelligence is basically "mentally impaired" and your player character acts the part, but a certain NPC also has a intelligence of 3 and he's pretty normal).
