If you both had the motivation to do so, why not?

So, I got a quick question... Would it be possible for a human family to be visiting the outpost? Say, a father, mother, and daughter?
Maybe the father could be an important official from one of the ships?

Unfortunately no, since if a human could get to the outpost, why couldn't the whole colony? There's no other humans out there.

This makes my whole Myurem idea much more difficult... If not outright impossible. I'll need to think of something else. Whelp, so much for posting anytime soon.

Because they're wearing really high tech suits that project earthen atmospheric conditions but only have enough power to be supported for three days and are far too costly to mass produce because the materials which makes it function properly are extremely rare and don't work on a macro level?

I meant distance wise. The colony is moving as fast as possible towards the outpost. How could a human move faster than that to reach there first?
But actually, it could be possible that some humans moved there long before this current route so sure, possible. But not that many. It's not supposed to be easy to move to and from the colony so it would be permanent residence.

Well, I figured they would have moved there a few years ago, and as I said, it would only be a family of three.
Could the father be an important researcher, maybe? Or like an ambassador, or some such?

Conservation of momentum: if they are moving at top speeds and they fire a canon, then the object shot out would retain that speed along with the velocity it was shot out with. So a pod could be sent ahead of the ship and reach before them with the equipment to set up, or perhaps they've gone this route before and weren't sure if this outpost had the recourses to sustain humans so they left a few behind to test it out and now they're back to see if it worked out well.

*Ponders how much faster Omega must be than the colony* Neo, you're gonna be a b**** to fight. Why, thank you. Omega's probably about 3-5 times faster than the Colony.

Were my posts in BL horrible?!!!!! Please read Tales of Etrius you slacker! That's my way of wiring actually. I was sorta annoyed I had to solo RP, and that just came to me. Don't worry, it is also apart of Emar's reason to exist. His entire story is about him finding why. So you can expect some more! Hey did you forget about me already. Hm how rude. Never mind I read the rest of the page. (Disappears into the ether sheepishly)

Hammy.. I guess my writing is like that but I was just aiming for someone who doesn't take the situation to serouisly. Yeah there will be moments she buckles down and gets serouis. (Besides that's what Phil is for. All the ham will come from him but he was meant to be hammy). If I was to describe Brooke she would be like Catie from Arstur except a lot more serious. She seems like she is aloof and goes w/ the flow but deep down she still remembers the experiments and deep down she has a hard time trusting people.

An ambassador and family of three works fine.
And as for Omega's speed, imagine the colony on one side of a basketball and the outpost on the other. Omega would be somewhere inside the basketball moving in a straight line, while the colony is travelling around the outside to avoid him. It's not a major discrepancy in speed I think.

I'm currently undecided on whether or not I should start with Card's backstory or jump right into things... And how to keep him true to his namesakes without going too far into grimdark territory. I do have a few ideas for running gags, but...
A.M. = AM, the evil AI from "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" Card = Orson Scott Card, author of "Ender's Game"
So he's gotta be KINDA dark...

HHD: Forgot about that. Neat.
X: You have reminded me that I haven't seen a bio for Phil. I would very much enjoy seeing that. Let's pressure Fen-Fen.

I must admit though, I never thought of Phil as hammy. he always came off as super-chill when I imagined him. I guess in my head he seemed like Urahara from Bleach, but in actuality it sounds like he might be more like Jiraiya from Naruto, if that makes sense.

It would be funnier if he was jaded and condescending, like Mao from Darker Than Black.

Urhara actually, that seems like a good comparison for Phil. The super chill dude who has all sorts of cool toys and is super smart.
