Cheese will be missed. He would've been a well-motivated ally if war ever broke out between humanity and the Draxans. Or he'd start the war. Whatever works.Am I kicked out...? My guy is kinda in hiding, so I have an excuse for him not to show up at first. I plan to post, I just need to catch up in Team Nova first which requires paying attention for more than twenty seconds, a skill I seem to have lost in the past week...

Well, I don't have any authority Cheese, so I wouldn't put any stock in that comment of mine. But I'd say your story checks out. I was just commenting on something someone else said about you, and being slightly mournful for dramatic effect. Most of us were just wondering if you were even gonna come back. Crap just realized I'm a Draxan and your character would be extremely hostile when given the opportunity. FML. At least there's potential for cooperation with both of my characters? Yeah, that should balance the hostility.
HHD, since the crystals are removable, would the colors be more like fashion choices and I could have rainbow crystals, or is it something about Draxan biology that decides the color of the crystals? And would the crystals be one of the more reliable ways of determining age?

Eh, Card won't kill on sight unless presented with a really good opportunity (he's smarter than that) so he could decide that Kyrie isn't an enemy after some warming up. He'd probably just develop toward hating the higher ups of both humans and draxans, if he did end up forgiving one Draxan.
Or he could be an anti-hero/villain that nevet quite ends up killing or being killed by Kyrie, despite efforts on both their part. Either way works for me.

Well, I'm on America with Emar.

But... Kyrie's not the Draxan... Jerus is...
I like the second idea, even though it wouldn't be Jerus's style. He'd try pulling a Mayuri, defending himself and opting to incapacitate (though he'd be unlikely to pull this off with Card) so he could still experiment. ESPECIALLY upon realizing Card's making wasn't one of the ones recorded in his ancestor's journal.

I's coo. I fo'give you. Just get your read on and learn from your mistake. Or don't. Honestly, all that really matters is that your character knows the difference, it doesn't matter if you do. And there's always edits, so it'll all work out eventually. I hope.

Cheese, feel free to take your time. Glad you're still in this.
Add-on crystals can be used for pure aesthetics, including colours, but thats kinda like dying your hair green. The colours don't necessarily change with age but the textures blur and the intensity of the glow decreases. Biologically, the glow is tied to health as its an indication of fitness.

So, about Emar... Is he cliche?

Alright, gonna edit crystal details in. Are there any colors generally associated with different genders, like how pink is (nowadays) considered a feminine color?

So, about Emar... Is he cliche? He seemed a tad over-the-top, and there's still the thing where you weren't exactly bringing in one focus, so that kills your potential for power creep, but I didn't think cliche while reading. Just over-the-top.

Over the top? Specifics would be greatly appreciated. Power creep isn't my style tbh.

Emar wasn't sure where to go next aboard the ship. He knew there were three ships located there in open space. Inter traveling had never interested him. He wondered if he could find more like him, then brushed off that thought. He would probably do better without them than with. America was a wide enough ship, so surely he could entertain himself for the time being. He was wrong, and found himself confused as he passed people. What the hell was he supposed to do now? Become a space explorer or something. If he had emotions, he would have probably sighed in some sort of frustration. This was entirely boring. Solitude in general. More suffocating than fun than what he envisioned. He wanted to laugh at the super weapon he was supposed to be. He passed another window of swirling empty space. Like a wire that has been cut, Emar snapped, punching through the glass with superhuman strength. "This is complete bull." He mutter afterwards, brushing past any surprised onlookers. What was existence if you were meant to be alone, feared and hated? One thing troubled him. What was his existence supposed to amount to? Emar stopped upon the hall, staring aimlessly. He felt lost, swallowed into a sea of wonder. He turned towards the broken window, ignoring the chatter, then glanced at the door to his quarters. He wasn't tired, he couldn't feel it. He swept into the room, heading towards his favorite selection of cloaks. A pale colored one. He grasped the fabric, not able to feel how it felt. Madness, complete and utter madness! The door slid shut behind him, locking him into a room of darkness. He wanted to remain in here forever. Escape from the voices that blurred outside his room filled with laughter. He glanced at the chemicals. A broad strike, an they smashed into the wall, breaking. Pulling the cloak on, Emar sat in silence, peering into the air. He said nothing, for there was nothing. The chemicals dripped down the wall, a replica of what he once heard was called a human tear. "Welcome to insanity." Dude seems kinda... dramatic. Almost exaggeratedly so. Your first post just seemed detailed, but this... It feels like a lot of what I saw in BL though, where it's easy for me to imagine it as an anime. Strong, recognizable imagery. Dude just seems a bit exaggerated right now and those chemicals did some trippy s***.So I guess you and Cheese will be Jagens. Or, in Cheese's case, an Orson, maybe. Neat.

Were my posts in BL horrible?!!!!! Please read Tales of Etrius you slacker!
That's my way of wiring actually. I was sorta annoyed I had to solo RP, and that just came to me. Don't worry, it is also apart of Emar's reason to exist. His entire story is about him finding why. So you can expect some more!

No, not horrible, just easy for me to envision in an anime style, that's all I said. I actually really liked that in the fight scenes.
And y'know you don't have to be solo right now? There's three characters in the underground right now (all coincidentally in America) and four in America total. I could see all of them interacting with Emar. Jerus is obvious since he's another black market researcher, albeit solo. Cheese, I dunno, we'd need to consult him to figure out how that'd work. And Brooke would obviously pull some superhero s*** trying to get him to stop what he's doing (whatever that may be).

Yeah, I teamed up with X. You should check out the Lodestar of Stars discussion topic. It's dedicated to Atrian Saga and TOE.
On topic, Emar threw the chemicals into the wall, not drunk them.

Teamed up with X for what? I know about the whole monkey thing, but the context makes it seem like you're not talking about that.
And I knew that. But for them to make a tear-shaped thing seemed weird.

Symbolism for sorrow my friend. We teamed up for the RP. I envision Emar as a super weapon that ponders about his creation, and has a interesting philosophy of life.

It just seemed unrealistic, which added to the over-the-top nature. And, I take it when you say "for the RP" you mean with Brooklyn and Phil, instead of having Emar meet up with Brooke and ending your solo-woes. Thanks HHD.
