Of all the posts in that first topic, by far the most meaningful and well constructed were yours and Cheese's particularly in relation to flashbacks.

Aside from the flashback going in first person?Yeah, but eventually I do random Ace Attorney crap, a bad explanation for Yancy not pursuing something about Joshua she noticed, a rushed sub-plot resolution (though it wasn't entirely my fault; blame Jay), Joshua's dream suddenly focusing on DNA Splicers just as they become relevent, and one instance of Joshua calling Grinn a girl when I later decided that he was oblivious to it. ...I didn't hit my stride until Ep. 5 or so, I think.

You're your own best critic, Emppy. I ignore most of the poorly executed things I write by not going back and rereading them. Works like a charm.

I didn't really figure out that Celeste should be referred to as Celeste for a while...the name "Phineas" really just isn't a good idea.

By the time you guys actually get a summary posted for me the RP will already be over. I somehow doubt the RP will be over by Next NovaVersary.

Gallon of milk. I saw that coming, but at least it'a better than the 7 or 8 plot threads I've completely dropped.

The main reason I won't join Nova, other than having mountains of catch-up to do right during the resolution... I can't think of any possible reason someone would've missed all the major events of the past only to pop up now.

I'm actually trying to think of major plot points on the "international" scale that aren't all too recent. Besides destroying half the map in skirmishes, most of the major development is personal, like leadership changes in factions, Grant's family, Celeste being timey-wimey, the BW2 cast's development, however you feel like explaining Neal, etc. An outsider would really only be aware of the city nukes on the news, the Sevii Island Prison incident, and the Galactic uprising.
The main thing would be getting a handle on the premise, and then complete list of all the locations that have been canonically destroyed. I think the only definitive ones I remember are Cinnabar, Lavender, Ever Grande, Mt. Coronet, and all of Kalos.
Oh and character deaths. Most people with names from the games are assumed dead, unless we've turned them into our PCs.

I'm toying with the idea of a former Champion of (Insert convenient region here) who was put into Cyrosleep by (Insert convenient Legendary Pokemon here) near the start of all the global bad stuff, but was found by Team Nova and turned into a secret weapon. They've been working on him all this time, and now he's finally ready for activation. In order to eliminate all the threats to their endgame in one fell swoop, they send him on a search and destroy mission to take out all the Legendary Pokemon still working against them, and that's how the PCs first hear of him, because Legendary Pokemon start dropping like flies. So the good guys send someone after him to stop him, and that person helps him recover his humanity, and in turn, he pledges to help them complete their mission and protect them no matter what.
The last part is so I can actually have someone to RP with throughout the remainder of the RP. Cause I'm gonna need that.

Pick someone other than GX for once.
After 6-10 years of conquest, Nova would've contained or killed all the other legendaries that aren't already in rebel care.

Oh, just in case it wasn't obvious. The whole point of this character is to help advance the plot. He's what I affectionately refer to as a "walking catalyst".

In all seriousness, I enjoy plotting and RPing with her the most. And if I don't enjoy what I'm writing, I lose the motivation to continue. So, they send him after the rebel legendaries then. Is there any rebel legendary that's expendable?

Is there any rebel legendary that's expendable? You're recycling ground already covered in Austur and FT.Actually, now that I reviewed the legendaries, most of them were either in prison, recently broken out of prison, brainwashed, killed, recently reincarnated/hatched, or impractical to get to (Arceus and co., and Hoopa according to the cameo). I don't think Nova would really feel the need to bother indoctrinating someone for legendary hunting when they've mostly got it on lockdown already. With the exception of the rebel leaders, but that's what admins like Celena were for. I would think we're quietly ignoring the SM legendaries (at least for now) due to how little we know of them. The last time we bit off things that weren't released yet, Yveltal was killed by a stick of dynamite and didn't take the entire surrounding area with him like the Pokedex entry implies (the death is non-canon now).

There's not many legendaries left. The legendary birds were killed to turn Lugia into Nova Admin Duncan's Shadow Lugia. Mewtwo and Mew did a fusion dance, and that entity now leads Team Mewtwo. The beasts are with Blue and Eusine now, with Suicune currently captured by Nova. Celebi and Meloetta are also involved with Eusine things. Ho-oh was killed after being used as a Nova power-plant. The Regi's had an arc as Nova-controlled bosses and will reappear soon for a long-awaited Regigigas arc. I think Cheese wanted to do something with Kyogre and Groudon. Rayquaza is now mecha-mega-Rayquaza-mon-ultra and Golurk has plans with that. Darkrai is also with Golurk's character, I think. Jirachi is as dead as Celeste is currently. We've already killed two Deoxys that Nova made as weapons. Latias and Latios might have some part to play with Gx's character to come. The lake trio was killed to create the red chain to control Giratina. Dialga/Palkia/Arceus are off being gods. Manaphy is Emppy's baby. Terrakion and Verizion are dead, with Cobalion and Keldo joining team Mewtwo (Emppy's characters). Zekrom, Reshiram, and Kyurem are all with trainers (Cheese and Emppy). Genesect is a Nova weapon. The weather oni are in a similar spot as the Regi trio. Volcanion was a former Nova weapon, recently rescued by Eusine. Diancie is at the centre of Digi's current arc. Hoopa got a mention as a cosmic character and is probably hanging out with Palkia somewhere. Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde are participating in their own factions.
Well that was a fun trip down memory lane. That also leaves only Crescelia and Heatran, and I was thinking of trying to rope them in before the end somehow as well. (Maybe eof would want Heatran for something...I forget if I asked). Oh and for the record, Nova canon is that when a legendary pokemon is killed, it reincarnates as an egg somewhere else in the world, and they retain some of their memories and instincts (like Ho-oh would know that it created the legendary beasts, even if that was a previous incarnation of Ho-oh) so they never really completely die. That incentivizes Nova to capture and/or subjugate them as opposed to just kill them.
However, Neo's idea can maybe can blend into what GX and I have been planning. There's two more arcs to go before we hit the grand finale (unless Cheese would like to add another). One is the Team Zygarde/Galatic conflict, and the other is a Legendary pokemon war between those on the side of the rebellion, and those that would just prefer to kill all humans. That's the Regigigas arc I was talking about. Regigigas escaped Nova captivity after being made into an unstoppable mutant-superweapon, and is currently smithing legions of Regirock/ice/steels to exterminate the human race. Blue is trying to form a covert operation to quell that before it starts, by recruiting the help of every other non-partisan legendary pokemon on Earth, and he has Molly, Eusine(ish), and soon Meridia (Gx's character's) help with that. Or so the plan goes.

(Maybe eof would want Heatran for something...I forget if I asked). I could do something with Buck (the one guy who cares about Heatran), but he's the one Stat Trainer I don't like or feel I can do something fun with, so I might just leave him dead. A footnote in the side-stories, if he's lucky. Also, Creselia showed up super briefly at the start to give Neal the Darkrai egg. And then vanished. Then Jay started talking about using Cresselia, then he Jay'd, so that was dropped. I don't think its been mentioned since.

So maybe Nova activates their secret weapon and sends him and one of the Admins in an attempt to take out Regigigas and all of the rebels trying to stop him in one fell swoop?
Also, Emppy, it's only "recycling ground" if I make the exact same characters. Which I don't. Ever.

Also, Emppy, it's only "recycling ground" if I make the exact same characters. Which I don't. Ever. Troubled guy meets GX character, gets healed (for lack of a better term), regains (faith in) humanity/himself astonishingly quickly. I'm assuming no promotion into becoming lovers this time since Meridia is already paired, last I checked.
