Team Zygarde: The story of Gen VI had never happened in this timeline. Sometime before the RP, Team Flare's genocidal plots (among other illegal things) were discovered, and law enforcement stopped their operations and arrested most of their members (Lysandre and Xerosic seemingly escaping or evading capture). When Nova began taking moves to destroy Kalos, Xerosic managed to grab a few of his old pieces of equipment and evacuated on a personal submarine, taking extra baggage in the from of Emma and Mimi. They ended up settling a home and base of operations near Mistralton City, Unova. After a while of raising Emma and finding his footing, Xerosic finished the Expansion Suit project; a specialized super suit that grants her superhuman strength and speed; designed designed for infiltration and light combat (and by "light", I mean "can fight a Nova admin and not immediately die"). Using this suit, Xerosic sent Emma (codename "Essentia" while wearing the Expansion suit) out on a series of missions across the various regions. While on the surface, these missions seemed like standard crusades against Nova. In reality, Xerosic was looking for a method of somehow locating AZ's Ultimate Weapon, and finding a method of activating it and using it to accomplish Team Flare's original plan.

Eventually, through another long story, an egg holding the reincarnation of 50% of Zygarde (namely the blue core) was created (through the efforts of Mews and a certain particularly gallant Team Mewtwo operative). Xerosic and Emma eventually learned of the egg's existence, and how it came to land in the hands of a Nova admin that had since defected: Jay. They located Jay in isolation, where Emma was able to ambush him. Caught off guard, Jay was killed, but managed to heavily wound Emma; so much so that she was forced to retreat empty-handed when Galactic soldiers showed up to see what the commotion was all about. Naturally, the egg fell into Galactic hands.

Afterward, Galactic usurped control of Team Yveltal, and Hugh destroyed a base (I don't remember which, unfortunately) in retaliation, which led to him getting captured (by SMEX's character at the time). When Nova threatened to destroy the Sevii Islands one-by-one until notable members of each rebel team came forth and allowed themselves to be imprisoned (one for each island), Hugh offered to make himself useful and go as the Yveltal representative. He was given the Zygarde egg before he was sent to Realgam Tower (where the sacrifices were gathering), and the egg was put in Mewtwo's hands once again. The sacrifices turned themselves over to Nova.

About a week later, Galactic put together a plan to save the sacrifices, which was mostly successful except for a few details that did not as planned:
- Yancy had caught a Shiny Golurk in Sinnoh (long story). Turns out that Shiny Golurk were "pack leaders" of sorts, and were higher in the hierarchy and able to command other Golurk/Golett units (they're emotionless robots). Having protocols to do anything to protect their trainers (once caught), Golurk learned that his trainer was in Sevii through watching national television, and commanded a legion of other Golurk to go attack the prison.
- The prisoners were supposed to be extracted through Abra teleporting them into a hospital at Lilycove. Hugh's Abra, however, was fainted by stray debris falling on top of it as a Golurk breached the roof. The Golurk grabbed Hugh and took him to the Realgam medical wing instead.

At around the same time, Emma had donned a disguise and managed to infiltrate Realgam Tower in search for the Zygarde egg. Seeing the Sevii Sacrifices getting rescued made Xerosic wet himself slightly, as he realized Galactic had used AZ's ultimate weapon to pull it off. He urged Emma to hurry in finding the Zygarde egg.

Hearing about how Galactic was able to save the sacrifices and basically be seen as heroes, a depressed Hugh wandered into the Breeding Wing of Realgam Tower. He happened to notice a tied up Brigette being tossed in a janitorial closet while an imposter walked away. Piecing two-and-two together, Hugh went after the imposter (don't worry, he left the closet door open for someone else to help Brigette out). The imposter (Emma) forced her way past Mewtwo's defenses and was able to retrieve the Zygarde egg. Right as she was going to be teleported out, Hugh tackled her, and he was brought along to Route 7. Xerosic recognized Hugh, decided that he could be useful, and allowed Emma to bring him to his lab. There, Xerosic manipulated Hugh's feelings towards Galactic and enlisted his help.

Since public dissent against Nova was at an all-time high, Xerosic wished to take advantage of this surge of potential rebel recruits and create a new, if smaller, army. The goal of this army (self-proclaimed Team Zygarde once the egg hatched) was to strike against Galactic, and render them unable to use the Ultimate Weapon for their own (sinister) devices once Nova is out of the picture... Or at least, that's what he says. Currently, they're trying to stay in secrecy, though recent events are very likely to change this.

Their main hostilities are currently directed towards both Nova and Galactic. Hugh has a personal grudge against Mewtwo (the Pokemon), but they still intend to remain neutral with the team unless given reason otherwise.
