Am I good to go, or is there more that needs doing for those 3? Other than that stuff mentioned in PM. Uh... Gonna say they were called the... Route 102 "Gym." Based in Hoenn.
Dumblazy question. Where was the Pokemon World Tournament held?

Alright, last question I... think I need before I'm set to started. Not true, three of them. 1st question, I'm probably going to give Jude a handgun and Vern a machete.
2nd question, what form did the Nova attack go through? Like, did Nova detonate a StarBurst bomb, or...? "Here's a link, read it yourself" is also acceptable.
3rd, to make sure I understand StarBurst well enough. It pops a Pokemon free of its ball and makes it unnaturally aggressive, though non-hostile and under control by the StarBurst user. A strong-bonded Pokemon will probably get, like, a headache and mild irritation from it. How far off am I?

How far off am I? 1: cool story, bro 2: Nova came in airships, blew stuff up, and began Starbursting Pokemon and killing people. 3: HHD would explain this better than me.

3: How much pseudo-science do you want? StarBurst destroys a Pokemon's emotions and free will, so it blindly obeys orders. If you StarBurst a pokemon in the wild and left it, it would stand there until it died of starvation or something else told it to do something. If you told it to kill itself, it would. It fights harder because it gives no regard to self-preservation (unless told to keep itself alive). Most StarBurst weapons are outfitted with a psychic link so that the person who used it can immediately give commands to the victim. As for the strongly bonded pokemon, they would suffer from immense headaches and disorientation, if they didn't pass out immediately. Repeated exposure would eventually wear them down. As for the pokeball aspect, it actually destroys the ball, and effectively releases that pokemon because of it as far as trainer ID goes. The more pseudo-science explanation: StarBurst is based on Ranger stylers, which are used to connect a human's feelings to a pokemon's "heart" (the same kind of "heart" that becomes closed and hardened if turned into a Shadow Pokemon). Instead of connecting, StarBurst violently resonates the heart until it breaks (like an opera singer and a wine glass). The bond between a trainer and a pokemon strengthens the pokemon's heart, and this effect is naturally amplified by pokeballs (which is why pokemon become more attached to you even if you're just walking around with them in a pokeball in your pocket). But because of that connection, StarBurst breaks open pokeballs too, with the same kind of resonance that would break the pokemon's heart.
And not exactly relevant to your question (this is my little corner of this fictional universe so gosh darn it I'm going to splurge), but it's called "StarBurst" because Celeste invented the resonance technology to break Jirachi out of its 1000 year hibernation cocoon. The lobotomy part of it was an unintended side-effect of Nova stealing the designs and cranking the system up to 11.

I see. I'm guessing the damage is too far gone to repair with a styler. But does StarBurst damage stylers like balls? Could surrounding yourself with a constant styler field reduce the effect of StarBurst to tolerable levels?

Oh, what about ball type? Even if they're all destroyed, would a stronger (great, ultra) ball offer some increased resistance to the effect? What about a Friend ball, since it seems to act on a pokemon's heart?

I don't think there's a precedent for using a styler as protection from StarBurst. But I'm going to say it helps a little bit but not much, since if it was a solution more people would be doing it.
The ball type has never mattered, masterballs have just as much resistance as pokeballs.
Also, forgot to mention this, Legendary pokemon are immune to StarBurst for the most part, because of the strength of their hearts. The only way to StarBurst a legendary is to turn it into a Shadow pokemon, and then StarBurst immediately upon purification since that transformation leaves the heart vulnerable. Duncan was going to do that to Lugia but may never get around to it now...

What about if, instead of using stylers for protection, they were used for repair? Could a long period of exposure to a styler fix a StarBursted Pokemon? Could a styler be cranked up to 11 the same way Celeste's original design was? What would that do?
What if the resonance frequency of either stylers or StarBurst were broadcast through, say, the Goldenrod radio tower? What would those do?

Ordinary stylers wouldn't be able to help a StarBursted Pokemon, but I'm open to the idea of someone eventually developing a cranked-up-to-11 version that could help. It would likely need to be upgrades through something related to Arceus/Dialga/Palkia though (like the Cosmic Drives are from the Adamant, Lustrous, and Griseous orbs) or something because...lore... StarBurst is the latest in a line of Giratina's attempts to compel humans to destroy the pokemon world, basically as the ultimate "up yours!" to Arceus who cast him out of Pokemon godhood. The previous one was the Veilstone Sword from that Sinnoh myth, which in Nova RP has the power to kill any pokemon it strikes instantly (Actually I should talk to you about that...). The one before that was AZ's ultimate weapon. The plans usually fail because eventually humans grew enough of a conscience to not keep using them. But this time Giratina found Maurice and he was crazy enough to go full megalomaniac-psychopath on the world. StarBurst has divine significance and consequences and really ought to be weakened only through things of similar divine significance or really really REALLY intense science. As for the radio tower, Nova base is in Goldenrod and they already do that to make sure their entire city is secure....or at least they should be. Maurice can hit an entire city block with it at once, if not a larger range by now. It wouldn't exactly make it stronger though, since you can't really get much stronger than "auto-lobotomy".

Final character list (I'll delete the others since they're extraneous). Important changes: decided to give MissyShade the Mismagius to the new girl instead. So Cass got a Miltank. Name: (Cooltrainer♀) Corva Fox Age: 30 Alignment: Yveltal Appearance: Meticulously straightened dark-purple hair, black beret. Knee-length white dress, black overcoat, boots, and gloves. Carries a whip and a handgun on her belt. Scar across her left eye. Bio: Born in Lavender town. Has been striking out against Nova independently for years, sometimes going into hiding for months at a time. Recruited by Yveltal relatively recently. Pokemon (If any): Note: Has 6 Pokemon, but usually only brings Kon and Shade, leaving the rest somewhere safe.
Umbreon/Kon (Synchronize; Assurance, Moonlight, Guard Swap, Snarl; Protective)
Mismagius/Shade (Levitate; Phantom Force, Perish Song, Will-o-Wisp, Confuse Ray; Mischievous)
Espeon/Sync (Synchronize; Power Swap, Psychic, Psyshock, Calm Mind; Inquisitive)
Leafeon/Florian (Leaf Guard; Leaf Blade, Synthesis, Sunny Day, Rock Smash; Shy)
Flareon/Whammy (Flash Fire; Fire Fang, Fire Spin, Smog, Scary Face; Aggressive)
Jolteon/Alpha (Volt Absorb; Discharge, Volt Switch, Thunder, Rain Dance; Aloof) Name: (Cooltrainer♂/"Leader") Jude Fox Age: 32 Alignment: Unaligned/Former Route 102 "Gym" "leader" Appearance: Spiked, lilac hair, green eyes. Short. Bright red pants and overcoat, black undershirt, black fingerless gloves and shoes. Carries a whip on his belt and a handgun in a shoulder holster. Bio: Grew up hoping to become an official gym leader. Attended pokemon academies, challenged gyms, entered league tournaments - never saw much success. In his best run, he made it to the third round. Decided to start his own unofficial gym as a way of training. Took the inspiration for the theme from his best bro, Glaceon. Pokemon (If any):
Glaceon/Grace (Snow Cloak; Icy Wind, Ice Fang, Barrier, Hail; Brat)
Marowak/Flow (Rock Head; Double-Edge, Bone Rush, Focus Energy, Dig; Focused)
Magnezone/Lambda (Sturdy; Screech, Metal Sound, Lock-On, Zap Cannon; Passive)
Spiritomb/Jude (Pressure; Swagger, Foul Play, Dark Pulse, Ominous Wind; ???) Name: (Sailor) Vern Buford Age: 36 Alignment: Unaligned/Former Route 102 "Gym" member Appearance: Grey hair, brown eyes. Muscular. Stereotypical sailor outfit: white, blue-lined hat, pants, and sleeveless shirt. Large anchor tattoo on his left arm. Carries a spear gun modified for use on land and a machete across his back. Bio: His father was a sailor, and his father's father, and his father's father's father. But not his father's father's father's father. That one was a baker. And a famous one at that. Just like his father's father's father's father, and his father's father's father's father's father, and his father's father's father's father's father's father. His father's father's father became a sailor as an ironic act of defiance because he didn't want to feel forced to follow his family lineage. Vern worked on ships all his life, with the dream of one day serving on a luxury liner like the S.S. Anne. He eventually got his own ship, a small fishing vessel that he rents out. Joined the gym as a temporary member during a 3-month vacation. Let Cassandra help rename some of his Pokemon. Pokemon (If any):
Vaporeon/Sue (Water Absorb; Acid Armor, Baton Pass, Aqua Ring, Water Pulse; Lazy)
Dewgong/Blubs (Thick Fat; Ice Beam, Aqua Tail, Rest, Sleep Talk; Excitable)
Vileplume/Antoinette (Effect Spore; Petal Dance, Solar Beam, Poison Powder, Venoshock; Manipulative)
Arcanine/Jam (Intimidate; Flare Blitz, Morning Sun, Sunny Day, Fire Fang; Daring) Name: (Lass) Cassandra Vivant Age: 27 Alignment: Unaligned/Former Route 102 "Gym" member Appearance: Blond ponytail, shoulder-length. Blue overcoat, white undershirt, red plaid skirt. Matching blue knee-high boots and beret. Carries a knife and a pair of grenades. Bio: Was studying to be a fashion designer. Joined the gym because everyone's pokemon were just so-o-o cute. Pokemon (If any):
Sylveon/Ribbons (Cute Charm; Moonblast, Draining Kiss, Tickle, Wish; Playful)
Miltank/Jiggles (Scrappy; Milk Drink, Heal Bell, Rollout, Return; Motherly)
Eevee/Eevee (Run Away; Covet, Last Resort, Yawn, Detect; Friendly)
Gothitelle/Frisky (Frisk; Future Sight, Psyshock, Telekinesis, Hypnosis; Anxious) Route 102 "Gym" group bio: Former members of the (very) unofficial Route 102 "Gym" based in Hoenn. More of a social club, really. Were attending the Pokemon World Tournament (on Elmer's dime) when Nova attacked. Four of the nine members were slain at the tournament and shortly after. The group began attempting raids against Nova with limited success, costing them another two members. The three survivors managed to claim some of their fallen's favorite pokemon before they set out on Vern's ship to hide and wait for a chance to fight back. They've been training while hopping from island to island since.
Deceased Route 102 "Gym" Members: (Rocker) Ferdinand Spatta (Hex Maniac) Raven Dorn (Aroma Lady) Elodie Blanc (Psychic) Karen Links (Gentleman) Elmer Hamilton (Engineer) Riley Wood I'll start posting Vern's journal tonight, probably.

*FACEPALM*
GS BALLS! Those are StarBurst proof! Kinda. They don't protect the pokemon, but they don't shatter under StarBurst out of sheer mechanical strength. The Pokemon still ends up StarBurst inside them. At least, in this iteration. Celeste was still trying to improve them when he got ret-gonned.
Ugh, how did I forget that? They were like, Celebi and Eusine's MO up until I introduced Blue and Molly...
There's a very limited number of them since they need to be made using a Rainbow Wing and a Silver Wing from Ho-oh and Lugia (One is now dead, the other is owned by Nova). But Celeste managed to make a couple for himself, Eusine, and VIPs in Mewtwo.

Oh yeah, Eusine gave Austin some for his pokemon before the Flower Paradise arc I think.
...I should really just get a jump on the summaries. Apparently I don't even remember everything I've done.

Didn't Austin intentionally allow himself to get Starbursted because the GS Balls would protect his Pokemon?

Well he has 2 + Victini so the bond immunity + GS ball means full protection.

I meant for Mismagius to have Phantom Force, not Shadow Sneak... Just gonna fix that. Plotting with Bunny about what she's been up to with Yveltal.

Who can tell me anything about Slateport and Lilycove? In terms of them being blown up or fortified or whatnot. Other than "under Nova control."
