I tried coming up with an opinion on this, but I kinda can't. Areas are usually bland in early FF games, or approaching weird levels (IMO) in later ones.

What do you mean by "areas"? Like World of Balance/World of Ruin or like FF1-12 only?
How about each person can take a Final Fantasy game and runs that world, and everything is on a "as needed" basis. So if everyone ignores FFXIII then we don't need to talk about that world. Characters would be different though, so you can put together a mixed party. But if you want to do stuff in Midgar and fight JENOVA heartless then, unless nobody's claimed that world, you have to work with the FFVII guy, who's probably controlling Sephiroth's Nobody or something.

You just made this whole thing sound way more complex.

Wouldn't we be using OCs?

Wouldn't we be using OCs? I meant in additions to our OCs. You control an OC keyblade wielder who is possibly with a party of other FF characters. You go around the FF worlds doing stuff. The question is, who decides what's going on in each world? Well, if you want to do stuff there, you make it up. If someone else comes in after you, they have to play by your rules.

Okay.
I'm just going to reserve FFVII for Neo since that's what he'll want to use.

I'm a KH fan, but the only FF I'm really familiar with is Tactics, and even then only Advance and A2 (the latter in which I've played multiple playthroughs clocking well over 100 hours each).

I could never get with A2. Maybe if I tried again and min-maxed better... Loved the f*** out of Advance 1 though.
Anyway, I'd probably be most interested in... actually, don't care. All sound good, and I'm hoping we wouldn't spend too much time crapping around alone in a world.

*Tries to decide between XIII or V, even though I haven't finished XIII*
So, who else has been playing the Smash demo?

I like Mega Man, but his specials all seem underpowered. Villager is definitely the best out of the characters in the demo. Pocket, Tree, the bowling ball, he's got it made.

The bowling ball seems rather situational in its usefulness though, and the Pocket is worthless in a lot of situations. Situations where I think he'd be at a disadvantage since he doesn't seem to have a strong melee game.
Mega Man, on the other hand, does have underpowered specials, but they're not really for killing, and they're not his only range. He's actually got some good range with his Mega Buster, IMO, since it's rather quick to fire and the smash is big enough to be real nice. I also really enjoy how he has both his down attack and dash attack to approach with, and his down attack combos well with his up aerial. Plus, Rush enables him to get a solid approach from above to use his down aerial or Leaf Shield.

Megaman's Mega Buster smash can be reflected, doesn't block other projectiles, and can also be pocketed. Villager's Pocket is definitely not situational, and that Tree attack is evil. Plus, missile does tons of knockback, and Villager has really good combo potential and grabs.

What happened to the Golurk who told me he wasn't a KH fan in order to try getting out of helping me on a project? I feel so betrayed...

I'm not a KH fan. I've only played one game. I don't know much about the lore, so that's why I suggested doing something not based on the canon.
*hugs*
I'm sorry...

You don't apologize dammit. You hug her tightly, tell her you're sorry it won't happen again, and then do anything she asks for the next few weeks. My generation is going down hill...

A relationship is as much about supporting yourself as it is each other. I have shortcomings, and she forgives me. She has shortcomings, and I forgive her. That's how you are to keep a healthy and balanced breakfast relationship.
